Chapter 25 - Chapter 24: “I Swear I'm Just Watching Dramas”

Lu Zeyan had meetings all day.

While he brokered billion-yuan mergers upstairs, Xu Yinyin sat barefoot on the floor of his private study, snacks everywhere, three laptops open, four phones glowing.

To anyone else, she looked like she was watching ten different dramas at once.

She wasn't.

She was hacking a system only five people in the world had access to.

Incoming Transmission

[ENCRYPTED MESSAGE]

FROM: UNKNOWN

SUBJECT: "To XYN"

Her smile vanished.

No one had used her real hacker alias in years.

"ICE VAULT. Crack it. 72 hours. No trace.

$5 million will be transferred immediately if you accept."

She stared at the message.

This wasn't from a desperate amateur.

This was from someone who knew what she could do.

Someone dangerous.

Meanwhile… Upstairs

Lu Zeyan finished his call and glanced at the clock.

No sound from Yinyin in over an hour.

Too quiet.

Suspicious.

He walked down, slowly pushed open the study door—

She spun around in her chair so fast she nearly fell over.

"Hey hey hey!" she yelled. "Look at this! Cat videos! Funny cats! Meow meow meow!"

He narrowed his eyes.

"…What are you doing?"

"ABSOLUTELY nothing criminal."

"…That's not an answer."

"I'm watching TV and totally not being a mysterious world-class hacker known only by an encrypted codename."

He stared at her.

She stared back.

"…You want bubble tea?" she offered, switching tabs at light speed.

He sighed. "Sure."

Later That Night

Zeyan was asleep.

Yinyin wasn't.

Her screen glowed in the dark as she broke through ICE VAULT's first firewall.

She typed with cold precision.

Her fingers moved like weapons.

Her eyes were tired, but sharp.

And when the system tried to trace her?

She whispered:

"Cute try."

Click. Gone.

No one would find her.

No one ever had.

Because the world feared XYN.

And no one — not her enemies, not her husband, not the government — knew she was:

Xu Yinyin.

The girl in bunny pajamas.

The wife of Lu Zeyan.
