It started when Xu Yinyin got bored.
Zeyan was busy with a long meeting upstairs.
So she wandered down to his private office, sat in his huge leather chair, and whispered to herself:
"I am Lu Zeyan now."
She spun around once. Dramatically.
Then pressed the intercom.
"Tell the board I'll be joining the video meeting shortly. This is President Lu's… assistant."
Five minutes later, a full board meeting lit up on the giant screen.
Twelve men in suits.
And one woman with snacks in her hand and glitter stickers on her cheeks.
The Meeting Begins
She sat up straight. Cleared her throat.
"Gentlemen. I've reviewed the quarterly reports—"
Someone coughed.
"President Lu, is that… you?"
"Yes. I've had a glow-up."
They blinked.
One brave guy asked, "Why is your hair in pigtails?"
"That's confidential company transformation strategy."
Another asked, "Where is the actual President Lu?"
"In the closet. Thinking about his life."
Upstairs…
Lu Zeyan was finishing a call when his assistant burst in.
"Sir. Emergency."
"What happened?"
"…Your wife has hijacked the board meeting."
He stood up so fast the chair rolled backwards.
Back in the Boardroom
Yinyin was now holding a whiteboard with a chart labeled:
"Why Ice Cream Should Be a Business Deduction"
She pointed at bullet points like:
• Stress Reduction = Increased Productivity
• Chocolate = Morale Booster
• Vanilla = Neutral Asset
• Mango = Risk Investment
The CFO was sweating.
"Ma'am, respectfully—this isn't tax code."
She gasped. "You doubt my authority? I'm literally Mrs. Lu!"
Just then, the door opened.
Zeyan walked in. Slowly. Silently.
She didn't see him yet.
"And if any of you tell him I was here, I'll replace your passwords with Taylor Swift lyrics—"
"Too late," Zeyan said behind her.
She froze.
Turned.
Smiled innocently.
"Hi, hubby. I fixed the company."
Aftermath
Zeyan dismissed the board with a single glance.
Then stared at her.
She blinked.
"Are you mad or impressed?"
He walked closer.
"That depends. How many departments did you accidentally fire?"
"Only two! But they weren't real departments! I think. One was just called 'Server Dungeon.'"
He closed his eyes.
"Xu Yinyin. You are... exhausting."
She grinned.
"But also adorable?"
He sighed.
"Adorably insane."
And kissed her forehead.
