Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: The CEO Is in Trouble (And So Is His Self-Control)

On Monday morning, the employees of LUX Group were ready for a normal day.

Spreadsheets. Coffee. PowerPoint.

But then she arrived.

Mrs. Lu.

Wearing a pencil skirt that fit too well, a silk blouse that was too sheer, and a smile that said, "I'm not here to work. I'm here to ruin lives."

Xu Yinyin strolled into the office, heels clicking, holding a paper coffee cup that read:

"For My Husband – Warning: HOT."

People stared. An intern dropped his laptop.

She winked at the receptionist. "Don't mind me. Just being professionally married."

In the CEO's office, Lu Zeyan was typing an email when his glass door opened.

She walked in like she owned the stock market.

"Morning, darling," she purred, placing the coffee on his desk.

"I didn't ask for this," he said flatly.

She leaned forward, elbows on his table. "You didn't ask for me either. But look how much fun we're having."

"Leave."

She didn't.

Instead, she pulled out her phone and played soft romantic music.

"What… are you doing?"

She sat on the edge of his desk. Crossed her legs. Pouted dramatically.

"Just setting the mood."

"What mood?"

"The 'my husband works too much and doesn't love me' mood."

He stared at her, completely deadpan. "Get off my desk."

"I could... but that would require me not being annoying, and I'm afraid that's against my personality contract."

Ten Minutes Later

She started doodling on his meeting notes. In pink pen.

"Yinyin," he warned.

She drew devil horns on a rival CEO's head. Then hearts over Zeyan's name.

He snatched the paper.

She gasped. "That was sentimental!"

"That was confidential."

She grinned and whispered, "So am I."

Then She Crossed the Line

She walked over, picked up his tie from the coat rack, and wrapped it around her hand.

"What are you doing now?" he asked.

"Helping you relieve stress."

"By tying up my accessories?"

"No." She leaned closer. "By being distracting."

And then—she sat in his chair.

The sacred chair.

His throne.

His cold, black, CEO-approved leather chair.

She spun once. Twice. Kicked her heels on the desk.

Lu Zeyan's eye twitched.

"Do you think this is funny?"

"I think I'm adorable."

Until He Broke

He walked over, placed his hands on the armrests, and caged her in the chair.

Too close.

Way too close.

Her breath caught.

He leaned down and said quietly, "You like teasing me?"

She blinked. "It's my cardio."

"Then don't get upset when I tease you back."

She smirked. "Try me."

Their eyes locked.

The air snapped like tension wire.

And then… someone knocked on the glass door.

They both froze.

His assistant opened it halfway. "Sir, the board is waiting—OH. Sorry."

Xu Yinyin waved. "We were doing emotional bonding!"

Zeyan sighed and stepped back.

As she stood up, she whispered in his ear:

"You're lucky we were interrupted.

I was about to climb you like a promotion."

He stared at her, stunned.

She winked and strolled out.

And for the next three hours, Lu Zeyan couldn't focus on a single damn thing.
