I came back. To Moonstone.
I didn't ignore Lyra's fear and came back even if it was just to set her mind at peace. I stayed for lunch and texted Rowan first to ask if everything was okay. He replied, saying there is nothing to worry about.
Grandpa Victor asked me to leave after they closed down. After I made sure Lyra was also with Grandpa at his house, that's when I left for Moonstone.
"Alpha, you're here!" Maisie comes running up to me.
"Hey kid! Are you good?" I ruffle her hair, and she steps back with a little pout on her face.
"Don't call me that." She tames her hair, sulking.
"Alpha!" Almost everyone gathers and greets me with their heads lowered.
I nod my head in acknowledgement.
"Are you back for good?" Maisie asks.
"No. I'm just here for tonight. I'll be going back tomorrow." I reply just as Rowan appears.
"I told you there's nothing to worry about. But since you're here already, you should look around," Rowan suggests.
