"Stop pacing around, Lyra. You are stressing me out." Grandpa stuffs a handful of popcorn in his mouth as he continues watching his show.
"Cyrus hasn't texted me anything after he reached. Do you think everything is fine?" I plop down beside him and throw my head back.
"I'm sure everything is fine. Didn't you say the Moonstone is filled with strong and giant werewolves? They can defend themselves just fine." He reaches for a soda can and gulps it down, his eyes still not leaving the TV.
"Can I ask you something?" I turn my head to him, my lids heavy with sleep.
"No," he replies, annoyed.
"Come on. It's just one question." I kick my leg, whining.
"Lyra, all I want is to watch my show in peace for one hour. Leave. Me. Alone." He grumbles before he increases the volume.
I glare at him, my lips turning downwards. "I sure as hell am adopted. You always neglect me like this."
