Episode 7: Comfort or Just a Habit?
---
Suleman's voice was still echoing from the other end of the phone.
There was something unusual — as if someone had recognized her emotions without her saying a word.
> "I think some people don't know how to hide their feelings...
Maybe that's why they seem strange to others."
Aaniya replied with a faint smile:
> "Or maybe… people just don't like those who speak the truth."
Suleman understood what she meant, and then said:
> "Girls like you are rare… those who smile even after being shattered."
Aaniya chose silence. She always felt uneasy with compliments — perhaps because she had never heard one that felt truly sincere.
---
The next morning, Aaniya went through some documents sent by her lawyer.
Suleman had added a small note with them:
> "Only the one who believes in their truth has the right to demand justice."
Aaniya read the note twice. Suleman's words touched her deeply —
For the first time, someone hadn't seen her truth as a weakness,
but as her right.
---
For the first time, Aaniya said to herself:
> "Maybe… I need someone's presence."
But she quickly battled with her own thoughts:
> "Or maybe… I'm just getting used to that voice?"
---
The night was the same again — silent, yet ready to narrate the entire story.
A message from Suleman arrived:
> "See you in court tomorrow. I want you to come with full courage.
Today, you don't seem weak — in fact, stronger than ever."
Aaniya looked at the screen of her phone…
and her smile now held more than just peace — there was a hidden hope too.
