However the arrival of Rodin, the battle was about to turn in their favor.
"150 million volts Thunderbolt!!!"
With a thunderous roar, Rodin's attack stuck at the group although it was not a fatal blow, their combat power was cut in half.
"Damn it, where did the lightning come from?!"
"It's Rodin!"
"Boom boom boom!" Another thunderbolt struck. The vigilant Tobi Roppo dodged with their full Observation Haki. But it was only the beginning. Rodin, with his abilities of silence and transparency, single-handedly engaged all five of them, eventually killing Foz-Fu and Chamu.
Meanwhile, King and Jack were facing off against Baki's group, and they were gradually being pushed back.
"Stop fighting! Take Jack's body and retreat!" King, having seen the situation, realized that with Captain Kaido preoccupied, they had no chance of winning. He knew if they kept fighting, they would all be left behind.
"How could it be so easy for you to leave!" Rodin held out a hand, and a golden spear mixed with a large amount of electromagnetic power was thrown out.
"I'll stop it!" Queen, with his huge body, blocked the retreat.

The blows did not stop. Sword slashes, lava waves, and rock squeezes continued. The deserted island was completely ruined.

"What's the use if you can't kill him after catching up?" Rodin gave up. He knew that the Marines and other Emperors had tried countless times to kill Kaido without success. He had to be killed in a very specific way, and it would take time. Kaido wasn't his main goal right now.
The battle had ended with Kaido's defeat. However it was the exciting event before the upcoming execution that would solidify Rodin's status as a king in the New World. The greatest benefit of the battle for Rodin was the improvement of his physical strength. He had been able to withstand a punch from Kaido, something he couldn't do before.
Rodin saw the newspaper of the "Public Execution of Ace." It was happening tomorrow. The Summit War was coming soon. He glanced at the sun, returned to his ark, and began to replenish his energy.
"Speaking of… isn't Marine afraid of me joining the war? Or do they have a way to stop me?" he wondered as he ate some fruit. The check-in reward for Dressrosa still hadn't appeared. Rodin's intuition told him it would be something special.
"I'll wait a little longer and see." The execution was in Marineford. At the speed of his ark, he could make it there even if he left tonight. He decided to take a shower. However, all the bathrooms were occupied by his crew.
As he was about to turn around and wait, a cool voice stopped him. Tashigi's pretty face peered out, her long, wet hair dripping.
Crocodile grabbed Rodin and smiled. "The bathroom is so spacious. Why are you running?!"
