Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: vs Kaido

For a while, three colors—black, red, and blue—representing Kaido, Akainu, and Rodin—collided in a spectacular display of power.

"BOOM!"

An earth-shattering vibration emanated from their center, tearing apart the ground, houses, and even the sky for miles around.

Even those fighting fiercely on the coast of Dressrosa could hear it clearly.

"Captain, have you used that state?" King stared in disbelief. He couldn't believe Kaido had to go all out so early.

"Focus on yourself first." Mihoko swung her sword, causing a spray of blood. King flew backward but flapped his wings and stopped himself. A bloody gash appeared on his chest.

"She's really terrifyingly strong," he sighed, and in the next second, his momentum rose. "A woman who has fought against the world's greatest swordsman? Let me see your full strength!" King gathered all the flames from his body onto his katana. When it reached its peak, he slashed out with all his might.

"Guarding the Fire Dragon Emperor!"

The hot flame turned into a giant Oriental dragon that flew toward Mihoko.

"I'll deal with you," Mihoko said softly. She leaped into the mouth of the fire dragon and, when she reappeared, the dragon was split in two. Her White Sword Hiru was now drawn on King's samurai sword.

"CLANG... HMM!" The two figures staggered, and the mask on King's face and the armor on his body began to shatter.

The center of Dressrosa was in ruins. After Kaido's last move, he continued to attack relentlessly. Thanks to Rodin and Akainu working together, they were able to hold their ground.

Rodin shook his numb hand, feeling his Thor state rapidly declining. The gap between him and a Four Emperor in terms of Haki and physical stamina was still significant. But he had come a long way, from not knowing Haki to being able to fight an Emperor in such a short time.

He wasn't satisfied yet! Who wants to be a guy who only eats the soft meals of his female crew?

"Give it your all," Rodin said, holding out a hand. A golden spear galloped forward, and he poured all his thunder and Haki into it.

This would be his strongest blow.

"250 Million Volt Golden Thunder Tiger!!!"

The golden spear, wrapped in a powerful force, turned into a giant tiger and grabbed at Kaido.

Seeing this, Kaido stomped his right foot, causing the shattered earth to crack further.

"King Kong Dysprosium!" A turbulent "stick energy" shot out.

At that moment, Akainu appeared behind Kaido.

"Dark Hound!" she yelled, and her right fist, which had turned into a dog, moved. This attack made Kaido change his expression. After swinging his mace, he quickly pulled back to block.

"BOOM!"

The two strikes canceled each other out, and each flew backward. Kaido didn't realize that his "King Kong Dysprosium" had failed to fully counteract Rodin's attack. As he flew back, he fell into the jaws of the tiger. The spear, mixed with destructive force, pierced his back. His whole body trembled with electricity.

A few seconds later, Kaido fell from the sky, smashing a huge hole in the ground. Rodin, exhausted, was forced to release his Thor state. Mihoko gently supported him.

"Leave the rest to me," she said, her beautiful hair falling across his cheek. She gently pushed him away, stroking his face and smiling.

This man shouldn't have to be on the battlefield. He rushes up again and again. Mihoko felt a pang of guilt. She wasn't strong enough to protect her captain from all of this.

She looked up. "If you're not dead, let me kill you with my own hands!"

In the pit, Kaido coughed up a trace of blood. Enduring the pain, he pulled the golden spear from his back and tossed it aside, trying to get up. But at that moment, Akainu, from above, had formed a giant magma mass in her hands.

"Full Armor Great Eruption!"

Akainu's attack came down with the power of a volcanic eruption. Kaido's pupils shrank. The force of the eruption was indescribable.

"BOOM!"

The pothole where Kaido was turned into a sea of lava, melting everything. The shockwave swept across half the island. It wasn't over. Volcanic bombs erupted from the ground, hitting randomly, most of them landing on the Beast Pirates' henchmen who were looting treasure. Even those who transformed in time were incinerated.

"That blow is too shocking!"

"Why is the attack range so large? Are there still people running out of the island?"

"I only had a vague idea from the newspapers. Now I understand."

"They're simply not human!!!"

"My home… Dressrosa is completely over!"

"You guys are still in the mood to chat? Run!"

Most people had started running before Rodin even arrived. Now, the rest, who had jumped into the sea, understanding the scenario. Doflamingo hadn't been trying to protect Dressrosa; he had been trying to bury them with him.

In the sea of rocks, Akainu, with half her body covered in lava, said, "The era of the Yonko… it's time to end it!"

"Ooooooooh! It's not enough, you brats!"

With a wild laugh, a half-burnt, half-blue-scaled dragon hand crawled out of the pit. Kaido, in his own way of dying, had tried to challenge the other Yonko's and the Marine Headquarters, enduring a thousand tortures. No one had ever been able to kill him, not even himself. This level of destructive power was strong, but he was not yet finished.

"You guys… if you can't kill me, get ready to be humiliated!"

With a loud bang, Kaido rushed out again. This time he would face not only Akainu but also Mihoko, who had just joined the battlefield. The battle moved from Dressrosa to another desert island, and from there, into the sky.

The news of the battle between the two crews quickly spread. The Marines received word that very night.

In the Marshal's office, Sengoku, who had been hesitant about when to execute Ace, immediately made a decision. "The day after tomorrow… will be the day of execution!"

"Yo, Mr. Sengoku, have you really decided?" Kizaru asked, slowly sipping his tea. "If the Rodin Pirates decide to get involved, it's going to be difficult." He was nervous after five women resembling the Five Elders had appeared in the past.

Sengoku was resolute. "Rodin is fighting Kaido, and that fight could end at any moment. We must hurry," he said.

"Speaking of which…" Tsuru crossed her arms. "Regarding the special recruitment of Admirals in the world conscription, I have picked two suitable candidates. If this is decided, we will have five Admirals."

With five Admirals, along with Sengoku and Garp, the Headquarters would be an impenetrable fortress. However, the execution was a sensitive matter. If not handled properly, it could lead to disaster. But the outbreak of a battle between Rodin and Kaido was a clear opportunity.

"Let's prepare immediately!" Sengoku said.

"What about the Warlords of the Sea?" Kizaru asked.

"You can contact them immediately," Sengoku replied, pausing. "Garp also needs to be notified."

Ace's execution had a lot to do with him. As the preparations began, Marine warships and elites from various branches were quickly dispatched to the headquarters. They worked day and night, knowing that time was of the essence.

The fighting in Dressrosa had lasted until dark. The miscellaneous soldiers of the Beast Pirates were all dead, unable to survive the contest between the top powerhouses. The only ones who could survive were a small fraction of the thousand-man army.

Of the three All-Stars, King had fled after being seriously injured by Mihoko. He knew that if he stayed, she would beat him until his own mother didn't recognize him. His Captain, Kaido, had told him that if he lost, he was not to worry about him. King was confident that Kaido, who had survived suicide attempts and countless battles with Admirals, would not be killed by the Rodin Pirates.

The battle had moved to Greenbit, an isolated island north of Dressrosa. The once-beautiful landscape had been destroyed, replaced by black burn marks and raging flames.

On the coast, Jack and Queen stood back-to-back, blood flowing from their foreheads. On the opposite side were Rodin's crew. The ancient Zoan fruits of the Beast Pirates made them incredibly durable. Even with several of Rodin's crew joining forces, they couldn't kill the All-Stars.

"Second Brother, the eldest brother has run away… We should find a chance to withdraw as well," Jack, in his man-beast form, panted heavily. This was the toughest fight he had ever fought.

"Run, you idiot! Do you think you can still run away? She didn't even put the Birdcage. They not afraid of us running around!" Queen gritted his teeth. He had a good idea of Doflamingo's moves. She was an enhanced version of the original Doflamingo.

"Super Whiplash!" Dove appeared from above, throwing a long, red-hot whip down fiercely. Queen raised his mechanical arm and fired a powerful laser.

"Black Flame!" Dove was submerged, but Queen was not relaxed. On his other side, the ground rolled up and turned into a white matter spear. It suddenly pierced toward Jack.

"Wild Waves Grabbing Line!"

Jack gritted his teeth and tensed his muscles, punching the spear. But this time, it did not get blown away. It detoured, piercing his heart, and twisted, quickly drilling toward Queen.

"Jack!" Queen's heart trembled. Was Jack going to die just like that? A sense of anger filled him, and he began to hit the spear with his arms.

"Wind Fist!"

Circles of airwaves erupted from his Brachiosaurus Fist. At that moment, a beautiful blue mermaid rolled onto Queen with a wave of seawater. Queen was distracted, and his body began to weaken as it touched the water.

"Tear!"

A few slashes from Baki landed on him.

"Clang!" Just then, King appeared in front of Queen, cutting the slashes with his sword.

"King…you were you late." he said.

At the same time, a few more figures jumped onto the island. It was the Tobi Roppo, who had come as reinforcements. But now there were only five of them, not the full six.

"Wait, did you bring them here to seek death?" Dove said with a grin. Jack's body slammed to the ground. Although the Beast Pirates had lost one All-Star, they now had reinforcements. The two sides were at a stalemate.
