He knows that a battle is inevitable.
There's no place to runaway in this vast land of nothingness.
Gripping his wooden sword.
An intense emotion appears in his eyes.
Desperation.
It has been too long since he feels this way.
Meanwhile, his change of emotion brought out his wild instinct and killing intent.
The two wolves senses this and their expression turns aggressive.
They can't believe that they are feeling danger from this human.
One of them puts the rabbit on its mouth down and bit the leg of the bunny that was trying to escape.
They were slowly circling Cloyd, it seems that they are quite experienced in this type of fight.
Cloyd was breathing in a pattern that heightens his senses.
Suddenly, both wolves attack.
One of them leaps at him while the other one charges at him with it's fangs ready to sink in his flesh.
Before the leaping one reaches him, he sidesteps and attacks it with his wooden sword.
There were no effect but he did not give up.
Bringing his sword in front of him, he blocks the bite of the second one but he underestimated the strength of these wolves.
He was pushed to the ground, making his situation quite precarious.
He thought that since the wolves are the same level as the hounds, they would also have the same strength.
He was wrong.
With a much bigger size and sharper arsenals, they are a lot stronger than the wild hounds.
'I need to recover my ground!'
Before the claws of the first one rips his head, he rolls away after kicking the chin of the second one.
"They are a lot smarter than I first thought."
Complaining will not save his life so he just whisk the thoughts away.
The two once again attacks simultaneously.
Unfortunately for them, he learned how to fight multiple opponents before.
He dodges and attack, this was a monotonous cycle.
Even with his focus, he still feels mentally drained.
Meanwhile, the two wolves seems to be growing weaker by the second.
Each hit would chip away their HP.
"The durability of this sword is really depleting quickly."
[Name: Wooden Sword.
Description: Basic weapon that can deal damage
Durability: 4/20]
Seeing this, he knows that he can only attack eight times.
He needs to make them count.
This time, he was the one that pushes forward as his attacks would fly before the wolves can sense where they are coming,
The first one whimpers as it knows that it's HP is nearing depletion.
"Die!" The first wolf seems to be experiencing something as it's body tremble and it died.
Cloyd raises his eyebrow.
He did not expect that his prediction would be correct.
Each beings have their HP.
That means that he no longer need to kill his target by outmost concentration.
He can just attack as quickly as many as possible to dwindle their HP down to zero.
Blocking the bite of the remaining wolf with his sword, his sword finally gives in and breaks.
'If only there is some sort of system notification about how much damage I give and the amount of HP that my target has.'
He thought, dodging an attack again, he knows that he can't keep this too long.
His stamina is rapidly depleting, his focus, his energy, his speed and the power of his strike are all at their maximum output in order to just survive the remaining wolf's attacks.
He might had killed the first wolf but it cost him 70% of his stamina.
'Sh*t!'
His expression changes as his sword was finally broken by a desperate tackle from the second wolf.
Without hesitation, he locks the neck or the wolf with his legs.
Raising his fists, he starts pummelling the head of the wolf.
He's spent, the wolf is unaware of this and was now lashing out.
If it was careful in its attack, he would have been too tired to move.
The wolf was thrashing wildly, it wants him to throw him off from it's back.
Unfortunately for it, Cloyd's experience make it easy for him to hold on.
Just like that, after struggling for three minutes, it fainted due to lack of air.
Huffing heavily, Cloyd falls to the ground also, he knows that the wolf is still alive but he no longer has any strength to move.
'I need to move!'
His mind is sluggish due to exhaustion but he still wants to move.
Suddenly, a trembling bunny approaches him with it's limp legs from the bite of the wolf earlier.
It licks his bloodied hand.
In an instant, he sense a connection between them.
[Taming Successful]
[Due to your lord talent and (Evolution), constitution increases.]
[Obtain beast talent (Agility).]
Strength course through his body as he stands up once again.
Clenching and unclenching his fist, he can sense the newfound power in his body.
BOOM! He killed the wolf by bursting it's head.
He wants to roar but holds it in as he looks at the bunny that saved him.
With his (Evolution), he checks it's status.

'Not an evil beast?'
He quickly realizes something and can't help but start cursing.
His Trait and Lord Talent can only work at certain beasts.
No wonder when he tried to tame those hounds, he failed, it's because they do not satisfy the hidden requirement for his Trait.
"At least it was successful." He mutters before looking at his status.

"The combination of my Trait and Lord Talent increases my personal strength rather than my territory."
He thinks that one of his stepsisters should be the main lord rather than him.
"Welp, time to go home."
Without any weapon, traveling in his current condition is too dangerous.
Using Dismantle on the two wolves, he was startled to hear a notification.
[Evolution activated]
[Evolution (Rank E to D): Use Dismantle a thousand times on Rank E items.
Progress: 0%]
He, of course laughs out loud.
His second trait truly help ease his mind on their future.
Bringing his loot away, he carries the little bunny on his hand and runs back to their territory.
With the boost he received, he returned much earlier than he expected.
The subjects are currently digging the ground in their territory, searching for something.
"What's happening?"
He looks at Lucy who was supervising them and asks.
She turns to him but her eyes widens with shining pupils.
Her attention is on the injured bunny on his hand.
Suddenly, her eyes dims down as she looks at the bunny with guilt and pity.
Seeing this, he chuckles.
"Don't worry, she is not for consumption, she is my first partner in this world."
He then gave Bun² to her.
"Be careful, she is injured."
Rubbing her head, he cautions her.
She nods her head with a smile.
"Our lords, we did not find anything but dirt."
One of the subjects approached them and reported.
He looks at the soil on their hands and his eyebrow rises.
[Name: Corrupted Soil
Description: A soil that is corrupted with undead energy.]
'It seems that the location where our territory is located contains some secret.'
"Tell everyone to stop digging, we are going to have lunch."
Cheers erupted from their subjects.
They still can't believe that they can eat twice a day.
In the past, it was already considered lucky if they are able to eat even once for three days.
"Cook this."
He then takes out the pile of meat from his storage.
The Grassmen carefully lift them.
"Our lord, we don't have any wood for the fire."
The oldest amongst them informs them with a trembling voice.
"Hmm that's a problem, do you have any method to prepare this meat?" He asks.
The Grassmen shakes their heads as they look at him with trepidation.
He might not like eating meat raw but he can bear with it but he knows that the three girls would definitely not be able to stomach it.
"Our lord! Our Lord! We found something!"
Suddenly, one of the Grassmen came running towards them.
