Chapter 25: Just One Dish
In a homeless area, Jinte arrived at her destination. Seria stopped and stared at the sign in front of her. There was a half-broken sign covered in dust. The surrounding decorations were dirty. Brown walls were houses, and the words "Restaurant" were written on them. Jinte pointed directly at the restaurant.
"This is where that man's finger was bitten off." Seria stood there, analyzing the possibility of something being found. The grass was covered in trash. Seraph stood looking at the restaurant sign, which had an unusual design.
[There really is a restaurant! The decor is quite unusual. I can't believe someone would dare to open a restaurant here. Does Seria like restaurants around here? What are you looking for on the ground? The restaurant is right in front of you.]
Seria was looking for something. His hawk-like gaze happened to spot a sign. Seria quickly picked it up and looked. It was a red sign shaped like a beheaded red dragon.
[A headless dragon? This old-looking sign isn't because people don't care about it. It's dirty from people walking around. This is the clue.]
Seraph walked over and stood looking at the sign. [Did you lose something around here and come looking for it? I wondered if you'd dare enter this restaurant. Turns out you came looking for something lost.]
"I found it, huh? Then let's go back." Seria frowned again. "No way. I haven't even been inside the restaurant. If I don't go, Seria will never go back." Seraph nodded. [It must be a real restaurant. Let's try it first. As the older brother, I'm trying to please this girl.]
Seraph walked into the restaurant. Jinte watched as Seraph held Seria's hand and they walked inside. His face went blank. Jinte looked up at the sign.
[That's a really bold restaurant. To open a restaurant for homeless people with no money at all.] Jinte walked outside and waited. Seria followed Seraph, scanning the surroundings. Seraph entered the restaurant, where a multitude of tattooed people were sitting at tables. The interior was still unsanitary, with brown floors and tables with red hot pots.
Many large men were enjoying their meals. Nearly thirty people were dining, each of them feeling dangerous. Seraph stopped in his tracks. [Hmm, this seems like a dangerous place. Is that why you brought me here? Seraph, what do you think I'm so good at?]
Seria walked in, smiling amusedly, watching as almost all the large men stared at the two children. Seraph looked at the tables and began walking to sit at them. Seraph sat at the table, calmly observing the surrounding people.
[A hint, maybe we should find someone with a tattoo? A headless dragon tattoo. This is the point to focus on. My brother secretly suggested it again.] Seraph looked at Seraph coldly. The receptionist ran over to take his order.
"What would you two like?" Seraph picked up the menu and selected. [The food was unusual, but I'll eat less than usual. No, I'll order a small portion of Seria's food. If she likes it, I'll order more to save myself from unnecessary expenses. If Seria doesn't like it, she'll leave the restaurant.]
Seraph ordered a smaller portion than usual, just one dish, to protect Seria.I don't like the food I ordered, so I can change restaurants in no time. The receptionist started writing down the details and started walking to work. Seria picked up the sign she'd picked up from the restaurant entrance and examined it, looking for the men in the restaurant one by one.
[This one isn't it, this one isn't it, and this one isn't it either. This one looks okay, but not quite right. This one looks similar to a tattoo, but with the added flowers, it's not it. This one looks dangerous, but not quite. Then, maybe the reason this sign fell on the ground was because my brother had me raise it so fast. If I raise this sign, who owns it and who's the bae? This sounds like so much fun. I never thought hunting for clues could be this much fun. Let's get started.] Seria stood up without saying anything.
She picked up the sign with the headless dragon and held it up, shouting, "Excuse me! Did someone do something wrong? I found this outside the restaurant!" Seria used her beautiful eyes to look at all the people looking straight at her.
Seraph stared at the young girl who had been acting all that conspicuous. Just walking into the shop like this was already noticeable enough, so it didn't even need to be said that this act would make her even more conspicuous. The loud chattering stopped immediately, as if someone had stopped a ride.
[Seria, are you looking for the owner who dropped something outside the shop? I'm too tired to think about it. Let's just eat. Trying something new isn't unusual.] Seraph waited for the food to be served, letting Seria do as she pleased. Seria turned to look at her brother, and he smiled immediately.
[You're on the right track. My brother didn't show any intention of stopping you. Next, I have to show you the proper way to handle this, huh?]
A man stood up, his body large like a muscular man with a pattern on his chest, depicting two dragons. His upper body had been removed, revealing powerful muscles. He was wearing red pants and short black hair. His name was Wang Lo. Everyone looked at Seria, who raised his hand, asking for the owner.
Wang Lo stopped in front of Seria, like a large muscular man. "Little girl, how did you get that sign?" Eyes that showed anger.
Seraph stared blankly. [The owner must be a very good boy, wanting to give this item. He picked it up from the storefront and found the owner in a short time. This is what a genius looks like.] Seraph looked relieved, thinking the owner who dropped the sign had come to claim it.
Seria was struggling to figure out how to deal with this situation. [Well, there are many ways to deal with this man with greater power. Don't underestimate a second-level martial artist too much. Even a level one increases his overall power, not to mention level two. But my brother probably doesn't want to cause trouble. We need to talk things out peacefully to find out more clues.]
"I found it in front of the store. I saw that there was a possibility the owner was inside, so I came to give this to you." Wang Luo nodded. "Is that so? This is mine, so can I return it?"
Seria handed Wang Luo the Headless Dragon Sign obediently.
[What will happen then? The moment the man receives the item, he'll start a fight. This is highly likely, but another way is to ambush him outside the store. This is it! I understand everything now. That's amazing, big brother. I was wondering why you ordered less food than usual. You only ate a little bit. Turns out, you were wasting time eating, so you ordered less food than usual. Haha. Finally, finally, finally, finally. Everything is perfectly balanced. This is a really clever tip, big brother.]
Seria admires Seraph as if everything is a guide for herself. The reason she ordered less food is because the restaurant is unlikely to come and eat, and it's suspicious.
