Third person POV:-

The sun was setting, coloring the horizon in shades of orange and pink. Waves gently crashed onto the shore, the sound blending with the salty evening breeze.

Akaza sat on the beach, leaning back on a rock, while Rumi slept peacefully with her head resting on his lap. Her white ears twitched every now and then to small disturbances.

Akaza kept his eyes on the peaceful scenery. After a while, his gaze shifted down, landing on the cute rabbit sleeping on his lap.

'This is perfect,' thought Akaza as a peaceful smile formed on his face.

'Hard to believe it's already been twenty-nine days,' Akaza thought, brushing Rumi's hair off her face softly.

'So much has happened in just a month.'

The past month had been intense. Every day started with brutal physical training in Kenji's beloved gym and ended with him practicing his quirk at the beach. Under Kenji's supervision, both Rumi and Akaza pushed past their limits every single day.

First came the recreation of techniques from the world of One Piece, namely geppo and soru. Geppo allows the user to 'jump' in air, creating a temporary foothold and enabling them to move through the air, effectively flying for a short period of time, whereas Soru allows users to kick off the ground with incredible speed and force, creating the illusion of teleportation as they move.

At first, he nearly broke his legs multiple times trying to perfect Soru. As for Geppo, the number of times he face-planted into the ocean was embarrassingly high. But slowly, he refined the moves and synced them with his technique development quirk.

He categorized these techniques under a new skill set he named Shock Pulse, a series of moves designed to use the fundamentals of Soru and Geppo to achieve raw speed, both on the ground and in the air.

The strongest and most complex move of this series, Shock Pulse: Tempest, merged the effects of Soru and Geppo along with his shockwave manipulation to achieve lightning-fast speed. The result was devastating, but highly unstable.

'Still needs refining,' he admitted to himself. The move consumed too much energy and caused recoil that his body wasn't fully adapted to yet.

The sound of the waves got Akaza back to the present.

The waves rolled in and out, each crash calming his thoughts. He glanced down at Rumi again, who was still in a deep sleep. Training with her had been as chaotic as he expected. She never backed down, and her aggressive fighting style has pushed him physically to keep up.

'Things have improved a lot since our first date.'

Akaza thought, enjoying the moment.

"Enjoying the view, kid?"

Akaza looked over his shoulder. Kenji walked up the beach with his hands in his pockets, his usual laid-back smile in place.

"You're early," Akaza said.

Kenji shrugged, "Just wanted to see how my favorite student is doing."

"I am your only student," replied Akaza deadpan.

Ignoring Akaza's comment, Kenji sat down beside Akaza, glancing at the sleeping Rumi. "You know, you sucked me dry, kid. Every technique I knew, every bit of knowledge I had. You absorbed it all with that cheat of a quirk of yours. I never thought I'd say it this early, but I got nothing left to teach you."

Akaza chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment."

Kenji's expression softened as he looked at his daughter. "She's grown a lot, hasn't she? Strong, stubborn, and reckless. Just like her old man."

He turned serious, his tone dropping. "Take care of her, Akaza. If you hurt my daughter..." His eyes narrowed, the killing intent clear. "... I will find you, and I will kill you."

Akaza met his gaze without flinching. "I know."

Then Kenji smirked."Heh, always wanted to say that."

The tension broke, and he stood up, "I'll leave you two alone. Don't get too late." With that said, he walked away, fading into the distance.

A few seconds later, Rumi stirred, letting out a small yawn before opening her eyes. She blinked at Akaza, then at the ocean, and finally stretched her arms. "How long was I out?"

"Long enough," Akaza replied with a small smile.

She rubbed her eyes. "You're comfortable, you know that?"

Akaza raised an eyebrow. "I'll take that as a compliment."

They sat in silence for a while, watching the sunset. The sky shifted from orange to deep purple, and the stars began to peek through. Rumi leaned in against him, her voice softer than usual.

"You know... this is nice."

"Yeah," Akaza said quietly. "It is."

The two stayed like that until the sun completely disappeared beyond the horizon. Neither spoke, but neither needed to. When the night finally settled in, they got up and walked back together.

Next morning

Morning came quickly as Akaza and Rumi met up at the station. Rumi was dressed in black sweatpants and a white windbreaker, while Akaza wore a simple white shirt paired with a black tracksuit.

"You ready for this?" Rumi asked, stretching.

"More than ready," Akaza replied.

30 minutes later they arrived at UA and joined the line of examinees. The massive building loomed over them, and even Akaza felt a rare flicker of excitement.

After checking in, they were led to the written exam hall. Rows of desks, stacks of paper, and a teacher ready to distribute them. A scene every kid dreaded at some point in their lives.

Before heading to his seat, he pulled Rumi close and whispered in her ear.

"Don't! I repeat, don't start destroying things if you get stuck on a question. Take deep breaths and try to remember what we studied every day for the past month."

"Understood," Said Rumi, feeling calmer after Akaza's little pep talk.

After saying what needed to be said, Akaza left to find his seat. After seeing it, he got settled.

Soon, the test began, and Akaza, thanks to his quirk, cruised through it. Finishing the exam an hour before he left the hall, he waited outside for Rumi.

After the written exam ended, outside the hall, Rumi groaned, rubbing her head. "Ugh, that was terrible! Who even asks questions like that?!"

Akaza walked up beside her, calm as ever. "It wasn't that bad."

"Not that bad? Are you serious? That last question was designed to kill me!" She waved her hands dramatically while ranting about every single problem she struggled with. Akaza simply listened, nodding

occasionally.

".... and the green head next to me kept mumbling and clicking his pen! I swear, if I see that guy, I'm gonna-"

"Rumi. You will be fine." Akaza said, pulling her into a light hug.

She pouted while burying her head in his chest.

After calming her down, both of them left for the practical test.

When they reached the field where the practical exam was being held, they were given instructions by a very loud blonde man, following which the instructors began separating the examinees into groups. Akaza and Rumi exchanged a glance as they were sent to different sections.

"Don't die out there, Akaza!" she yelled with a grin.

"Same to you, Rumi," he replied.

They were pulled into their respective groups. The tension in the air was thick. Everyone was preparing themselves for what was coming.

Akaza cracked his neck, his usual calm expression hiding the anticipation bubbling beneath the surface.

"Finally.... time to let loose."

And with that, the practical test began...
