One Week Later

The orphanage was bursting with energy. Not the usual kind of unhinged chaos. There were no tantrums, no broken stuff, no sudden attack on the snack jar. This was different. The air was filled with overflowing anticipation. Every single kid in the building had, god knows how, crammed into the living room. All of them were squirming, bouncing, climbing(I don't know where), and running around.

And at the center of this storm(The kids)sat Akaza, with his ever-present calm expression.

"AKAZA! OPEN IN! OPEN ITTTTT"

"This is injustice! We have been waiting all day!"

Akaza sat on the couch and was under siege. The children had him surrounded, one clinging to his shoulder, one around his neck, another gripping his legs like they were trying to climb a tree. In his hand was a white envelope, stamped with the unmistakable logo of UA High School with deep golden ink.

He held it as high as he could, like a certain statue in New York.

"Relax, guys. We are waiting for Rumi and her family first, remember?"

Which was followed by a wave of groans.

A few kids flopped to the carpet, like they had just been told Santa wasn't real. A few boys began to discuss how their 'big bro' forgot about the sacred code known as 'Bros before hoes.'

Akaza, on the other hand, leaned back into the sofa, a small smile emerging on the corner of his mouth. The overbearing energy of these kids had never bothered him. It always felt nice.

Kazuko walked towards him and softly nudged him, grinning. "Popular, aren't you?"

He side-eyed her. "Jealous?"

She opened her mouth, but a knock from the front door interrupted her before she could hit back. All the kids turned towards the entrance.

She went to the door and held it open for the guests. First came Rumi, her mother Miriko behind her, and finally Kenji, who was carrying a tray wrapped in foil. Rumi looked as smug as ever. Miriko gave a little wave at the kids while Kenji nodded politely, already eyeing the snack table, which alerted the kids.

Rumi walked into the room, ever confident, holding up her UA envelope.

"So.... you ready to check out the results?"

Akaza snorted. "Like you don't already know the results."

"Stop being a party pooper, look how excited everyone is."

Finally, everyone gathered around the center of the room, ready for the letter opening ceremony.

Rumi opened hers first. A small disc dropped into her palm. When she tapped it, a soft pink glow flared, and a full-body hologram projected into the air.

Standing there in full flair was Midnight.

"Oho! What do we have here? A rising star in the making," She purred, twirling on the spot.

"Congratulations, darling! You have officially passed the UA entrance exam and secured your spot in our school!"

A clip played behind her, in which Rumi was seen bouncing between walls and kicking robots into pieces.

"You were powerful. You were graceful. That fire in your eyes when you rushed in to help another? Mmm! Deliciously heroic!"

Akaza made a mock gagging noise, which earned him an elbow in the ribs from Rumi.

"With 78 villain points and 22 hero points, you scored a grand total of 100 points, which earned you Rank 2 of this year's entrance exam."

The projection dimmed and slowly began to dim down. "Welcome to U.A., sweetheart. Let the world see the hero you'll become."

"Class 1-A," Rumi read out, crossing her arms proudly.

The room exploded into cheers. One kid started drumming on a cereal box like it was a war drum. Kuzuko and Miriko wrapped Rumi in a hug. While Kenji sat in the corner, enjoying the snacks(He is a man of focus)

Then, slowly, the noise died down, and every head turned toward Akaza.

He finally opened his envelope, and a similar disk fell out of it. When he pressed it, white light illuminated the room.

This time, a calm, measured voice filled the room.

"Good evening. I'm Principal Nezu of UA High School. And yes, I know what you're thinking. 'Is that a mouse? A bear? A dog?' "

A ripple of laughter passed through the room.

"Let's just say.... I'm definitely going to be your principal."

Then, a footage played behind him. Which showed Akaza blitzing through the mock city. He zipped between robots and demolished them with beautiful techniques. Then, the most awaited scene played in which Akaza destroyed the head of the zero-pointer with a single move.

"We evaluate more than just raw power," Nezu said. "We assess judgment, instinct, and composure under pressure. Your plan to rush to the middle after figuring out the location of 3-pointers, then systematically group them, and finally finish them off smoothly? That was planned and executed perfectly."

He then sipped from a tiny cup of tea,

"Which leads us to your score. 123 villain points, along with 30 hero points. Which gives us the grand total of 153 points."

"Congratulations on making it into UA High School, while achieving 1st position."

"Class 1-A for me too," Akaza said, reading out.

Then Rumi launched herself forward, grabbing onto him like a koala.

"YOU AND ME RANK 1 AND 2?! Guess we are going to be the strongest couple. HEHEHEHE."

Rumi said, giggling.

Seeing Rumi's giggle, Akaza started laughing along with her. Then suddenly, a tidal wave of kids rushed towards the couple, completely engulfing them. While the adults watch the scene with a tender look in their eyes.

ONE MONTH LATER

Akaza stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of his UA uniform. The jacket fit better than he expected. Neat, clean, and not too flashy.

He tied his hair back loosely and stared at himself a moment longer than usual.

"Rumi really lucked out." He muttered to himself.

As he walked towards the door, Kazuko appeared in front of him. Then pulled him in a motherly hug.

"I am sooooooo proud of you, Akaza."

He hugged her back quietly.

After a moment, he pulled back," I know I keep repeating this, but really, thank you for everything."

With that said, he left for day 1 at UA.

Soon enough, he reached Rumi's house, where she was waiting near the gate, in uniform.

She stood there eagerly tapping her foot.

Akaza raised an eyebrow. "Someone's eager."

She scoffed. "You're the one to talk, Pretty Boy."

She jumped on his back and yelled.

"Let go, Akaza."

With that, they, or rather he, started walking towards UA.

Reaching UA, Rumi got down and they passed through the massive gates. They weaved through uniformed students until they reached their classroom doors.

1-A

Akaza slid the door open.

Inside, Bakugo was about to lunge at Midorya, mini explosions bursting in his fist.

However, the moment Akaza and Rumi stepped in, Bakugo froze.

He did not say anything at first. He just stared at them, teeth clenched.

Then, quietly.

"I know I'm behind you two on the test..... but I'll beat you."

Akaza raised an eyebrow. "Beat us?"

Rumi leaned close and whispered, "He was about to say kill again."

"Well, people change."

Bakugo grumbled something under his breath and made way back to his seat.

Looking at what just happened, Akaza thought happily.

'I guess what happened in junior high gave him his first mini character-development arc.'

Then Akaza and Rumi found empty seats near the back, right behind Mina and Asui.

Rumi had already begun chatting with them, something about how frogs and rabbits, who knows?

Akaza, meanwhile, scanned the room. Finding out the two students they have replaced.

Mineta and Koji.

'Sadly, it had to be Koji, but I am glad the pervert is not here. I still don't get why he was not expelled after the kind of shit he used to pull.'

Then he sensed someone on the door, and saw a man in a yellow sleeping bag lying on the floor.

After the class calmed down, he spoke.

"Took you 15 seconds to shut up. That's not good."

He stepped up, unzipping himself as he got up.

"I'm Shota Aizawa. I will be your homeroom teacher."

Confused silence followed. Then realization struck.

"Homeroom teacher!" The class yelled in shock.

Ignoring their shock, Aizawa kept going.

"Get changed. PE uniforms. Meet me at the field in ten minutes."

With that said, Aizawa left.

Leaving the class, stunned.
