Fallen Heaven: Rise of Faizi Tian
Episode 18 – Trial of the Blade and the Truth Within
Recap:
In the previous episode, Faizi Tian stepped deeper into the heart of the Scarlet Demon Nest and discovered a Crimson Mark etched into a demonic gate — the same mark left by his mother before her death. Upon touching it, he was drawn into a memory realm where he witnessed a glimpse of his clan's tragic fall and the demonic sovereign responsible. That ancient mark then appeared on his own chest — a Blood Flame Seal tied to his ancestral power. Just then, a mysterious white-cloaked swordsman emerged from the mist and challenged Faizi to a trial.

Episode 18 – Trial of the Blade and the Truth Within
The mist thickened like a shroud of fate, swirling around Faizi Tian and the cloaked figure who now stood before him. The blade on the stranger's back pulsed with silver energy, humming softly — like it had been waiting centuries for this very moment.
Faizi's eyes burned with crimson light, his breath steady. The seal on his chest pulsed once again, as if resonating with the sword's presence.
"You carry the mark," the swordsman said again, stepping forward. "Then by the laws set by the fallen ancients, you must face the Trial of the Blade. Only then shall the path of your bloodline truly begin."
Faizi narrowed his gaze. "I don't care for ancient rites. But if crossing blades with you brings me closer to the truth… then so be it."
Without another word, the man vanished.
A whisper in the wind — and then suddenly he reappeared behind Faizi, slashing down.
Clang!
Faizi barely twisted around in time, summoning his Crimson Soulfire Shield, blocking the strike. The impact sent shockwaves through the entire area, splitting the ground beneath.
The battle had begun.
The swordsman moved like a phantom — his blade slicing through space, leaving trails of silver light. But Faizi was no ordinary warrior. Each movement of his hands summoned spirals of fire, each strike laced with his Ancestral Blood Flame.
Boom!
Fire met steel in a clash of ancient wills. Sparks danced, trees around them turned to ash, and even the fog began to burn.
But it wasn't just a battle of strength.
Every strike carried weight — not just physical, but emotional, spiritual. The man wasn't just testing Faizi's body — he was testing his will, his memories, his pain.
"You fight with rage," the man said during a brief pause, "but rage alone is a storm without direction. Why do you seek the truth?"
Faizi's voice roared like thunder, "Because the world forgot my clan! Because I was left with nothing but ash and memories! Because my mother's blood still cries out for justice!"
He slammed both palms into the ground, and a towering inferno burst forth — shaped like a phoenix, burning red and gold.
The swordsman's eyes narrowed. "Good. Let that fire guide you — not consume you."
With that, the man unleashed his true power.
The sword fully unsheathed — its name etched in ancient characters: "Yuejian" — Moon-Cutting Blade.
A single arc of silver light flew toward Faizi like a moonlit waterfall. But Faizi, with a war cry that echoed into the heavens, poured all his soulforce into one final strike — Blazing Heaven Collapse — an explosive, forbidden move tied to his bloodline.
BOOOOOM!!!
The explosion shook the sky. Flames and light swallowed the clearing.
When the dust settled… Faizi was on one knee, coughing blood, but still conscious.
The swordsman stood across, blade pointed downward.
He nodded. "You passed."
Faizi growled, forcing himself to stand. "Then speak. Who are you?"
The man finally removed his hood.
His face was youthful yet ageless. Hair like moonlight, eyes like ancient wells.
"I am Sage Qan'Thalar, Guardian of the Crimson Line. I have watched over the descendants of the Fui Clan for ten thousand years. Only those who bear the seal may enter the path I protect."
Faizi's eyes widened.
Qan'Thalar continued, "Your mother… she knew this day would come. She left behind the mark not just to awaken your power — but to guide you here."
He reached into his robe and pulled out an ancient jade scroll, glowing faintly.
"This… is the Codex of the Crimson Flame. It contains the true history of the Fui Clan, the origin of the Blood Flame, and… the secret behind the Sovereign Demon who destroyed your family."
Faizi reached for it, his hands trembling.
As he touched the codex, flashes of light raced across his mind — visions of towering mountains, gods and demons battling in the heavens, and a flame… so pure it could incinerate karma itself.
His destiny was larger than revenge.
He wasn't just the last heir — he was the Chosen Flame, meant to awaken the power that could reshape the balance of this world.
As he opened the codex… a single phrase appeared on the first page:
> "When the world forgets… the flame remembers."
Faizi clenched the scroll tightly.
The next phase of his journey had begun — one that would lead him through divine temples, demon realms, and secrets buried by time itself.
But one thing was clear.
The flames of justice had only just been lit.
