Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Unexpected Visit

Eliot's fever was under control and Sean he did all the work and asked him to rest all day. Sean was preparing for lunch when the doorbell rang. It was an unexpected visit from someone he knew. He was cooking so Eliot went to open the door. A strange man was standing there with a large suitcase and a woman was with him, he claimed himself as the brother of Eliot's father. Eliot let them in but had no idea who they were because in his childhood he had been in many family gatherings but never once saw them. They said that came for a few days and they just wanted to know how Eliot had been in the past few years. The man said his name was Thomas and the woman was his wife Lilac. Sean came out of the kitchen to see who came at that hour of day and they don't have that many visitors so it felt weird. The atmosphere shifted as they were talking about Eliot's parents and he kept mentioning the night they left him. Eliot became paler and paler as they kept talking. Sean noticed that and he asked Eliot to go upstairs and he will call him for lunch after having a little talk with them, Eliot felt something about that off, about Thomas and Lilac. He did as Sean asked him to and he went up and stayed up there. Sean after a while came up and said to him to come downstairs for lunch, but he did not want to because he was not feeling very comfortable with Thomas and Lilac. Sean was very concerned about him because they claimed to be very close to Eliot but he is feeling very uncomfortable with them in the house. The house very big after all a family lived there together, but now it was empty with just to two of them it felt a bit weird to have people come over at the house. A few days had passed and Thomas and Lilac were still in the house but Eliot just felt very sick every time he was with them and he would often go upstairs and stay in his room. They stayed there for a long time but Sean was very tired of them being there and making Eliot feel weird. He asked them to leave but they started talking about how Sean was mannerless and his parents had not taught him how to talk to elders. This was the very first time Eliot had the feeling to argue, to stand up for someone, someone he felt special, he felt as if they were talking bad about something or someone precious to him, someone valuable. Eliot questioned them about the fact that they claimed to be his family yet talk bad about others, he said his father was a responsible and respectful man and his mother was a polite, elegant and kind woman and no one in his family were as rude, impolite and arrogant as them. They were embarrassed by Eliot for not being well-mannered and Sean was shocked to see him being so angry and the it is not even about him. Sean felt a feeling of happiness after all he still had someone who is fighting for him. They left that day itself, Eliot was so happy to see them leave that he asked Sean if they should have a feast to celebrate. Sean's feelings were very much similar to Eliot's after they left after all they were never family. Thomas and Lilac were both very smart and very sly. They were stay at their house to not pay rent, they came to visit that place. Thomas was a very stingy person who would not pay a penny for transportation,they saw Eliot once and took him target. They followed him and came to their house and stayed there for a whole month. Eliot sure knew his family but the only problem is he didn't know what was going to happen the next day.
