Their experience was seen by the government and the higher ups and they decided to give them a three months' vacation. They had truly been through a lot recently so the higher ups decided to call them and ask them to take a short vacation and a paid one at that. Eliot told Sean was told to rest and that he would go and see what was wrong at the headquarters.
On arriving, the place was not so pleasing. The head of his department accompanied him to the main office where the Governor and Chief Commander and Director [he was the boss of Sean's team which is now led by Eliot] was seated. They were a couple and when the Governor had free time, she would go to the headquarters to visit her beloved. They were very gentle and pleasing but their way of questioning was a bit different.
"Oh! so you have come, the legendary man who had finally chose to return, oh my I thought you would not have come and stayed with Mr. Sean and not appear." said the governor in a teasing manner.
Eliot had gotten all sorts of compliment but he was not really affected by them, he would blankly reply 'Thanks' or sometime just a 'Mm'. But it was the governor so he had to be formal. "Your flattering me with your words Governor Vivian, I was told there was a task for us to do. May I know what the reason for my so urgent summoning was." He was not particularly fond of the Governor but he helped him a lot during the harsh days also rented him an apartment for a really low cost. Sadly, he never shifted there completely as, after a few days he moved in with Sean.
"We plan on giving you a three months' vacation and a paid at that so you can relax for a bit and Sean can recover completely, does it sound like a good plan" Mr. Alistair said with a smile. He was cold in nature but for Eliot he has a certain sympathy and love causing him to smile unwillingly. Afterall he was very handsome and beautiful and both words describe Eliot perfectly.
Eliot thought for a while and agreed to take the vacation. The destination the Director them choose it themselves. Sean had wanted a vacation for a really long time but they decided to stay there itself instead of going elsewhere. When Eliot returned Sean was asleep as the fever reducing medication made him very sleepy and Eliot was happy with the result of the medication, at least he could take a small break.
'Sean sure does become a clingy cat when he is sick madam Victoria was right.' Eliot thought to himself. He called Ms. Victoria 'Madam Victoria' since she became his foster mother, though she was a loving person he just did not want to burden her.
Sean got much better and now he was now more energetic then since he found almost starving himself to his demise. He has recovered both mentally and physically and that is all thanks to Eliot. They spend a whole month talking to each other and trying to share each other's pain.
But this was just the calm before the storm and the real twist was just waiting for them at the end of the tunnel like a snake waiting for it next prey to poison.
