"Oh my youthful lady! Even though you turned down my gift, I can still feel your blazing energy of youth burning strong!"
He gave a thumbs-up. The dazzling gleam from his perfectly white teeth was almost blinding, forcing Sakura and the others to raise their hands to shield their eyes.
"Actually, you *must* be Konoha's Legend of the White Fang!" Sakura muttered sarcastically. Such teeth would be perfect for toothpaste commercials—what a shame they weren't being used for that.
Next to him, Shisui Uchiha's smile froze on his face. Thinking of the legendary White Fang of Konoha while looking at Might Guy's bizarre appearance made him feel like his mind was about to collapse.
"It's getting late. We should hurry up and leave," Kakashi said, stepping forward. Things had gone off track enough already, especially since this now involved his own father—he couldn't just keep watching idly.
"Kakashi-san!" Shisui greeted respectfully. Kakashi's reputation in Konoha was considerable, and due to the Sharingan, Shisui knew quite a bit about him as well.
"Huh? Leave already? But haven't we still yet to meet the person we're supposed to escort?" Might Guy scratched his head, puzzled by the sudden move.
"I'm your client, remember?!" Sakura twitched at the corner of her mouth. Was this guy genuinely clueless or just slow on the uptake?
"Eh?!" It took Might Guy several moments to process her words. "Are we really protecting just a kid? And sending her to such a dangerous place?"
"Kakashi sir, can I beat him up for a bit?" Sakura felt a vein pop on her forehead. She could feel the calm and collected mindset she had worked so hard to cultivate slipping away under Guy's antics.
"As long as he isn't seriously injured," Kakashi replied, the corner of his mouth twitching beneath his mask. Sir? Did he really seem *that* old? He was only just an adult this year, after all.
"That works."
A faint smirk appeared on Sakura's lips. With her left hand holding the oil-treated paper umbrella and her right giving a slight movement, Might Guy suddenly lifted off the ground without any warning.
"Whoa?! What's going on here?!"
His limbs flailed wildly in the air, but no matter how much effort he put into struggling, he couldn't get any control over his movements. His body began trembling slightly—was this some kind of paranormal phenomenon?!
After all the chaos, the group finally prepared to set off. Waving goodbye to their parents and others like Naruto and Sasuke behind them, Sakura proceeded forward toward the border, protected by Kakashi and the two companions.
As soon as the mission got underway, not only did Kakashi and Shisui shift into serious, focused modes, but even Might Guy became unusually quiet, concentrating intently on guarding against potential enemy attacks.
"Kakashi sir, Big Brother Shisui, and Might Guy sir, if you don't mind, you can all climb onto my sword with me instead. There's really no need to go through the trouble of walking on foot."
Sakura thought briefly, and the mystic blade rapidly expanded in size, easily accommodating all four people aboard without feeling crowded.
"This sensation of flying... it truly is amazing!"
"Guy really seemed to be enjoying himself. Although the Demonic Weapon moved at high speed, Sakura had enveloped its blade in an invisible shield that blocked most of the wind resistance, allowing only a pleasant breeze to caress their faces.
"Hmm, this is actually quite nice!" Kakashi said while pulling out a copy of *Make-Out Tactics*—a gift from Jiraiya on his coming-of-age day—and began reading it. It was his first time riding a flying Demonic Weapon, and he found the experience surprisingly pleasant.
"Soaring through the sky like a bird, completely free," Shisui's eyes showed a trace of longing as he slightly spread his arms, as if trying to grasp something.
"Does Shisui-niisan love peace so much?"
Suddenly Sakura asked during their journey.
"Of course!" Shisui immediately nodded without any hesitation. "Without wars, without killings, without unnecessary deaths, everyone can live together peacefully. There would be far fewer tragedies in this world."
Chapter 29: Konoha's Military Advisor at the Border [Part One]
Seeing the hopeful look in Shisui's eyes as he spoke about peace, Sakura couldn't help but want to roll her eyes and say something sarcastic—like how chasing after that "peace" got you killed by Danzo.
As he heard Shisui's final words, a flicker of sorrow crossed Kakashi's right eye. If it weren't for war, maybe Obito and Rin wouldn't have died either.
Guy also strongly agreed with what Shisui said. If it weren't for war, he wouldn't have been sent to battlefields at such a young age, and his father wouldn't have had to sacrifice himself protecting Guy.
With this shared topic, the atmosphere between the three of them improved greatly. Shisui, Kakashi, and Guy had all personally experienced war, which was why they longed for peace so intensely. As for Sakura, having lived in peace during her previous life, she naturally held no desire for war at all.
Kakashi couldn't help but feel like he was becoming completely undisciplined—a total disgrace for an Anbu elite. Yet here they were, sitting atop a flying Demonic Weapon, soaring through the sky without worrying about enemy attacks. Plus, Shisui's Storage Scroll contained plenty of food and drinks, leaving him nothing better to do each day besides eat and read *Make-Out Tactics*. He felt like all his years of ninja discipline were slipping away... but honestly, this slacker lifestyle felt damn good.
This was the first time in many years—years spent living in pain—that Kakashi had allowed himself such a lazy, laid-back thought. If the Third had known later that Kakashi's indifferent personality came about because of this mission, he probably would have regretted sending Kakashi on this task.
Shisui also greatly appreciated this peaceful journey. Without killing, without needing to guard against sudden enemy attacks, his mind felt much more relaxed. Most importantly, he had Sakura—another companion who cherished peace—with whom he could indulge in endless conversations about lives without war. Everything felt so wonderful.
The only one who wasn't particularly happy was probably Guy. Since he had vowed to never let youth fade away, rigorous training had long become part of his daily life. But these past few days, Tenten had been staying high up in the sky, standing on nothing but an odd-looking sword. His youth just wouldn't burn like this. Although Sakura had told him more than once that standing on the sword was perfectly safe and there was no chance of falling, Guy still felt uneasy deep down inside. A few days of lazy living had left him totally drained of energy.
