Chapter 17 - GB&SS 017: Don't mess with the heartthrob's smile!

"Oh, nothing."

Julian replied calmly to Sophie's question, "Your father asked me what I would like to eat for lunch, and I said I have plans to eat out both at noon and evening, so I won't be eating at home."

Sophie frowned and asked, "It's just about eating. Can you talk for 5 minutes? Are you okay?"

Julian shrugged, "Has it been that long? I didn't realize. Well, I'm going out."

Sophie inquired with surprise, "You don't want to eat here anymore? What are you going to do?"

Julian revealed, "I'm going to prepare for the duel with Rusty Stripe tomorrow afternoon."

Sophie pursed her lips, "Then wait for me, I'll go out with you, after all, we... have an agreement."

Julian smiled and asked, "You don't want to eat at home, do you?"

Sophie responded without hesitation, "Wait for me, I'll go change my clothes and put on some simple makeup."

What the heck!

It's almost 12 o'clock, and you want to change your clothes and do makeup? Neither of us can leave the house at noon today!

Julian waved his hand decisively, "You're in too much trouble, the agreement is suspended for today, and we'll resume it tomorrow - I'm leaving first."

After speaking, Julian dashed out the door.

Sophie stomped up the stairs angrily, "Fine, Julian! How dare you look down on me for being troublesome? How dare you unilaterally suspend our agreement? You'd better not come back! Never come back again! Otherwise, you'll see how I deal with it." Julian - did you hear me!

Andrew peeked out of his room, frowning. "Sophie, why are you arguing with Julian? He's just a tenant."

Sophie shot back, "It's none of your business!"

Andrew quickly retreated into his room...

Once outside, Julian raised his hand to hail a taxi and went to the largest sports store in Southampton.

With over 80 thousand pounds in his pocket, Julian felt quite wealthy.

He could now afford to eat out and avoid the peculiar British food at Sophie's.

However, despite the food, Sophie, a future star, is a goldmine for earning talent points!

If things go as planned, he can enjoy her company every night until she auditions for "Game of Thrones!"

So even though he had the funds, Julian decided not to move out of Sophie's place for now.

Preparing for tomorrow's duel with Rusty Stripe, Julian had to get himself a football kit.

Upon entering the specialty store, a saleswoman who bore a slight resemblance to Max from "Two Broke Girls" approached him.

Julian didn't wait for her to ask and immediately said, "I'd like a pair of Lionel Messi's exclusive F10 TRX FG football boots."

These are the shoes Julian had coveted but never bought in his previous life!

The shopping guide looked at the young Asian man before her with a hint of disdain and questioned, "Macy's special edition? It's quite costly at £1,999. Are you certain you can manage it?"

Julian replied calmly, "Remember, you can doubt anyone's ability to afford it, but you must never underestimate the purchasing power of an Asian like us."

The shopping guide, who resembled Max from Where the Wild Things Are, was taken aback instantly. Despite Julian's youthful appearance, he exuded the subtle allure of a mature gentleman in his gestures.

With a charming smile, she exclaimed, "Ah, so you're an Asian customer! Welcome, handsome sir! Please relax here in the VIP lounge, and I'll retrieve the shoes immediately!"

Julian continued, his voice deep and composed, "And, if you don't mind, I'd also like two sets of the most expensive football socks, two sets of shin guards, and two sets of training attire."

"Of course, sir, please wait a moment," she responded and hastily left to fetch the items.

Julian comfortably settled into the VIP rest area's sofa, sipping tea while the shopping guide rushed to accommodate his request.

Upon her return, the lady, balancing a large box and a small one in her arms, knelt before Julian. "My apologies for the wait, sir. Please allow me to assist you with the shoes."

Julian extended his foot casually. "Go ahead."

The sound of admiration filled the air as the guide worked diligently. Julian basked in the top-notch service she provided.

"It's definitely Messi's special edition," someone whispered nearby. Julian's cool demeanor remained unchanged as he enjoyed the attention.

As soon as Julian put on these shoes, he immediately felt as if Messi had possessed him!

This pair of shoes boasts a snug fit and excellent craftsmanship, with an FG outsole that is durable and provides strong traction, perfect for professional games on natural grass fields, and significantly enhances the speed of sudden starts.

The shopping guide, a lady with brown hair, knelt down to tie Julian's shoelaces and flattered him, saying, "Sir, these shoes look absolutely stunning on your feet! I mean, you were already handsome, but now you're so handsome that people can only look up to you!"

Julian chuckled to himself, thinking, "This shopping guide has such a sweet tongue..." But suddenly, he realized that he had inadvertently activated his "Glamorous Smile" skill.

Julian quickly composed himself, looking down and smiling. This simple gesture seemed to electrify the shopping guide, who was now looking at him with an entirely different gaze.

"I'll test the comfort," Julian said, interrupting the awkward silence. He took a few quick steps and felt the shoes' responsiveness.

With great confidence in his speed, Julian rushed out of the store, a trait that had made him a striker on his wild team in his past life, earning him praise from his teammates.

The shopping guide lady, who had been ogling him, called out in alarm, "You're so handsome, even when you run... Ah! You forgot something! Sir, come back! I can't pay £1,999! Thief! Someone's stealing shoes!" She chased after him, her two... assets bouncing vigorously.

As soon as she reached the door, she collided with Julian, who was running back towards the store. The impact was so great that it nearly knocked her off balance.

Julian steadied her quickly, asking, "Are you okay?"

The flustered shopping guide replied, "It's okay... You scared me to death!"

Julian maintained his cool demeanor, "What? Did you think I'd buy them for nothing?"

The shopping guide chuckled, "A purchase for 0 pound? That's the first time I've heard something so amusing."

Julian continued, "Don't worry, I just wanted to see how they felt. Such expensive shoes need to be tested thoroughly, after all."

The shopping guide, now fully aware of the situation, asked coyly, "So, what do you think?"

Julian took a moment to gather his thoughts, his face flushing slightly. "They're... quite comfortable. It's just that..."

The shopping guide, thrilled by the sale, brought out the POS machine, "Your total is 4,785 pounds. Please enter your password here."

Julian calmly keyed in his bank card password.

The machine beeped, indicating a successful transaction. "Your purchase was successful," the shopping guide announced, returning Julian's bank card with a knowing wink.

Julian took his card and noticed a small note with a phone number attached to it. "Call Me~" she hinted playfully.
