Chapter 9 - The Castle and Five Copy Opportunities

Professor X and the others only knew that Ron seemed to have used Red Devil's ability to send Black King away, but they didn't know exactly where.

It turned out to be inside the crematorium's furnace chimney?

No one would have thought that Black King, as the mastermind behind the plot to start World War III and destroy the World, would be made so miserable and wretched by Ron.

"Well done. He killed countless people when he was doing * *."

Magneto thought about that scene, revealing a shark-like ferocious smile, with a morbid sense of pleasure.

"That's where he belongs!"

"I want to use the furnace chimney, with its thin oxygen and rolling smoke from the combustion, to see if he can be suffocated to death."

Sitting on the bench, Ron slowly put forward his idea.

In a head-on confrontation, no one in the World could kill Black King.

"It's hard to succeed."

Professor X sighed and said.

"I've read White Queen's memories. One of Black King's abilities is superhuman endurance; he can go two or three hours without breathing."

An ordinary person's breath-holding limit is ten to twenty minutes, but Black King can do it for more than ten times that.

"In that case, the bottom of the sea probably can't kill him either."

After hearing Professor X's words, Ron whispered softly.

With Black King's power, perhaps ten minutes would be enough for him to swim from the Earth's deepest point, the Mariana Trench, over ten thousand meters deep, to the surface, or even less time.

To kill Black King, they had to find another way.

"The training place... come with me." Professor X thought for a moment and suggested that everyone could go to his home.

"My home is quite spacious and can accommodate so many people."

...

Outskirts of New York.

"This... this is your home?"

In a spacious estate covering hundreds of acres, in front of an exquisite ancient castle, Darwin, who used to be a taxi driver, stammered.

"If I'm not mistaken, it looks like a castle."

Is this what wealthy people consider "quite spacious"?

Let alone them, even if the number of people increased by more than ten times, it could still fit them.

"For now, we will live here."

Professor X ignored Darwin's exclamation and said.

"Charles, how much money do you have?" Alex couldn't help but ask in surprise.

"I don't know; I never care about such things."

He spread his hands, indicating he wasn't interested in such matters; he preferred to delve into academics.

Magneto, standing by, was silently speechless, thinking of his childhood after leaving the concentration camp, wandering around and starving three times a day.

"The future Mutant school."

Ron looked at the ancient castle in front of him, his eyes moving slightly. Professor X would eventually use this castle and estate as the site for the Mutant school.

"Let's go, it's tour time."

Mystique smiled and led everyone to tour the ancient castle.

Walking through the corridors with redwood floors, the interior decoration of the castle was even more classical and elegant, with antique clocks hanging on the walls and antiques everywhere.

Professor X is undeniably a winner in life: a genuine New York aristocrat, whose ancestors lived in a castle two hundred years ago, born into a wealthy family with endless money, and as a child, he found his adopted sister Mystique stealing food in his own kitchen.

As he grew up, he was handsome and talented, the most powerful psychic on Earth. With such a configuration, he should have had a happy and fulfilling life.

Unfortunately, he was a playboy in his early life, didn't understand people's hearts, missed the ever-changing Mystique, and allowed Magneto to capture her heart and take her away.

"In his later years, his benevolent heart was activated, and he toiled for Mutants his entire life, until his death.

Pitiable."

Ron secretly shook his head.

After touring the ancient castle, Professor X arranged rooms and began training for each person.

In the bunker that could withstand nuclear explosions, Alex was allowed to freely practice his incredibly destructive ability.

He resolved Magneto's emotional knots, telling him not to always rely on anger to activate his abilities, but to think of beautiful things and master subtle changes in tranquility.

He created various environments to help Darwin familiarize himself with how his abilities would react to different dangers, so he could use them with preparation.

And Hank... Professor X, as a mentor in psychology, also successfully resolved his emotional knots, allowing him to let go of his inhibitions and temporarily accept his big feet. He ran faster, several times faster than an ordinary person.

Of course, this was useless; they didn't need someone to transport ammunition in the trenches.

Professor X gave up and let Hank do his own scientific research.

Finally, it was Ron's turn.

In the room.

"Ron, your situation is quite complex and special."

Professor X carefully chose his words, looking at the young man in front of him, paused, and asked.

"You seem to... be able to possess the abilities of other Mutants?"

Mutant abilities, in the eyes of ordinary people, are like magic, like miracles. If a person could freely possess the abilities of other Mutants, wouldn't he eventually become a god in various senses in people's eyes?

He couldn't help but wonder if such an unrestricted, super-spec ability truly existed in the World.

"Five times."

On the sofa, Ron turned his gaze back from Magneto, who was practicing his abilities on the lawn outside, and suddenly said.

"What?"

Professor X didn't react for a moment.

"I can replicate others' abilities, but I can only use it five times in my life. Once they're used up, they're gone."

He held up five fingers and smiled.

"Five times? So, five abilities."

If he could only possess five abilities, it wasn't unacceptable. Professor X secretly breathed a sigh of relief; logically, such a powerful ability shouldn't exist.

Otherwise, the future destiny of Earth would eventually not be decided by the other six billion lives, but by the will of this young man in front of him alone, which would be too terrible.

With his benevolent heart gradually activated, he subconsciously didn't want to see such a scene.

"The best gods for the World are the gods that only exist in fantasy!"

"How many have you replicated already?"

Professor X continued to press.

"Immortality and self-healing, tiger-leopard physical enhancement, psychic teleportation, and Darwin's and Alex's abilities, a total of five."

Ron counted casually, putting down a finger with each one he said, finally putting them all down.

"Wait a minute, you said immortality?"

After Ron finished speaking, Professor X reacted and was stunned for a moment; he seemed to have heard something quite extraordinary.

"How long can you live?"

"About several hundred years, maybe over a thousand years, I'm not sure exactly."

Ron said casually, looking much like Professor X had when discussing his family's wealth earlier.

Sabretooth and Wolverine have the same abilities. The Adamantium skeleton made Wolverine who he is, integrating with his body, but it also greatly hindered his immortality and self-healing ability.

"Although my innate lifespan is short and there's some hindrance, with Sabretooth's ability, living for at least several hundred years is not a problem."

He didn't care about this issue; his own lifespan still had a chance to become longer, even truly immortal.

...

On the other side.

Raven was lying on a fitness bench, constantly lifting a 100kg barbell, training her strength.

Suddenly, the barbell flew out of her hand uncontrollably and floated up.

Magneto slowly walked in.
