Two super fleets faced off on the sea, swords drawn.
"Seahai, you are ordered to return to your original position.
Do you hear me? Respond, Weihai!"
The Soviet Union reneged, considering the consequences of starting a World War, and wanted to recall the cargo ship Seahai, which was transporting nuclear bombs.
But the cargo ship was unresponsive; Black King had already arranged for people to infiltrate it.
An armed squad killed everyone else and took control of the cargo ship.
The cargo ship sailed straight towards the embargo line.
The Soviet Union fleet explained to the other side that the cargo ship had lost control, but the other fleet didn't believe it at all, shifting their cannons to aim at the cargo ship and the opposing warships.
Just as a major war was about to break out.
Bang!
Suddenly.
In the distance, a Blackbird Fighter broke the sound barrier and flew in at extreme speed, attracting the attention of both fleets.
Inside the Fighter's cabin, Professor X and Magneto, among others, wore the classic X-Men bulletproof uniforms prepared by Hank, nervously getting ready.
"Why are there only clothes, no hoods?"
Sitting inside expressionlessly, Ron scanned his own and others' blue and yellow battle suits.
He had never understood why, if the clothes were light and bulletproof, and safety was paramount, they wouldn't also have hoods. Why did they have to expose their heads?
But never mind, for him, it didn't matter whether there was a hood or not.
"That cargo ship has been controlled. It's too close to the embargo line; there's no time to turn back."
Professor X pressed two fingers to his temples, his powerful psychic ability penetrating the plane and reaching the cargo ship, seeing a ruthless mercenary squad through the perspectives of others.
The others swallowed upon hearing this.
"Control the Soviet Union ships to destroy their own cargo ship."
At this moment, Ron turned and offered a solution.
Professor X would manipulate the personnel of the Soviet Union fleet to destroy that cargo ship. Their own side attacking their own side would not trigger a war.
Nuclear bombs cannot be detonated by external causes, even by another nuclear bomb.
"There are still people on the cargo ship."
Professor X frowned.
A dozen lives, perhaps those mercenaries were just being kept in the dark, and they also had families.
"Fuck, there you go again, Charles."
Magneto couldn't help but curse and complain. Charles told him not to use hatred and anger as a source of power to help him develop his abilities, and then immediately taught him to let go of hatred and not be controlled by it.
Although he and Charles hit it off immediately and he was grateful for Charles's help, he did not agree with this sheep-like philosophy at all.
"Charles…" Mystique and the others shouted, hoping he would act quickly: "The ship is about to cross the line, World War III is about to begin!"
Everyone else urged and pressured him sternly, and Professor X's face showed struggle.
"It's alright, Charles, follow your heart."
Ron, however, was unhurried, spreading his hands as if to comfort him.
"Even if your momentary reluctance leads to the deaths of billions, or even tens of billions of people, no one will blame you afterwards."
"After all, by that time, everyone should be busy hiding underground, avoiding radiation and clinging to life."
"…"
Hearing this, Professor X's face darkened as he glanced at Ron, then closed his eyes. His mind spanned several miles, manipulating a Soviet Union official to come to the main control panel and launch a missile.
Against a bleeding heart, the most effective weapon is direct moral blackmail.
Bang!
Seconds before the cargo ship crossed the line, accompanied by a violent explosion, a missile from the Soviet Union destroyed it.
The crisis was temporarily averted, and both fleets breathed a sigh of relief.
Inside the cabin, everyone's tense hearts relaxed. Magneto looked at Ron, his expression thoughtful; he seemed to have learned an effective way to deal with Charles.
"The Soviet Union fired on its own cargo ship."
"Backup plan activated."
Hearing the submarine crew's report of the change, Black King's face darkened. He gripped the device that absorbed nuclear energy and began to absorb the energy of the nuclear submarine.
"Find Shaw, this isn't over yet."
Magneto sharply reminded.
"He should be at the bottom of the sea, in the nuclear submarine from last time."
"I can't pinpoint him, the seabed is too vast."
Shaking his head, Professor X said that he had tried just now, but the seabed of this vast ocean was too large, and it would probably take a while.
"Not found on radar either."
Beast, who was piloting the Fighter, shook his head.
"Now it's your turn, Magneto."
Looking at Magneto, Ron specifically called him by his nickname, reminding him.
In the original plot, Banshee acted as a human sonar to find Black King, but Banshee had already died due to his influence.
"Sensing a metal object, isn't that your strong suit?"
"But…"
Magneto frowned. He had also tried just now and had not succeeded.
"That's not a needle, but a giant object hundreds of meters long and tens of thousands of tons heavy. Don't tell me you can't find that either."
He directly waved his hand, interrupting him.
There was no need to seek others; sensing a huge object made of steel was precisely Magneto's strong suit.
He just hadn't unleashed his potential.
Otherwise, he could even pull out iron ore buried deep in the Earth's core.
"Alright…"
Magneto said nothing, gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, and extended his hand beneath the sea surface, sensing carefully.
"Eric, find Black King, and you'll be able to get the revenge you've been seeking for so many years."
Ron helped him unleash his potential, his voice low as he reminded him.
"Otherwise, if you miss this chance, there might not be another."
Black King was, as expected, absorbing the nuclear reactor's energy. The longer he absorbed, the harder he would be to deal with.
Professor X believed that maintaining psychological calm was necessary to unleash one's full abilities, and that detailed control required it.
"To unleash potential, emotion is key. Whatever the emotion, if it's strong enough, it can unleash potential."
Magneto had Omega-level potential. In the movie, his highest display, driven by intense hatred, affected the entire Earth's magnetic field, allowing him to sense and extract metal from the Earth's core, break through continental plates, and destroy everything on the surface.
"Shaw, this is the third time, you can't escape."
Recalling his mother being shot, and the various scenes of himself being experimented on by Black King in the concentration camp, recalling missing opportunities for revenge again and again, veins popped on Magneto's forehead, his face became ferocious, unleashing the deep-seated potential within his body.
After dozens of seconds, he opened his eyes, filled with hatred, and found Black King, revealing a shark-like ferocious smile.
"I found you, I found you!"
It was Ron's words, "miss this chance, there might not be another," that stimulated him.
He was right, once Black King's conspiracy succeeded, whether he could even survive was a question, let alone get revenge.
This was his last and only chance.
Whoosh!
Hank, piloting the Fighter, turned his head and saw the sea surface violently parting. A nuclear submarine weighing tens of thousands of tons was being dragged out backwards from the seabed by an unimaginable force. Its propellers were still spinning at full power, but it was useless.
"My God, what is this?"
The people on the two fleets on the sea were all stunned when they saw this shocking scene.
