The squad leader's order was the signal. Every Root member surrounding Uchiha Kouki drew a multitude of kunai and shuriken, launching a massive barrage of projectiles.

In an instant, Kouki was engulfed in a dense, suffocating cloud of weapons. Even the most powerful taijutsu couldn't deflect them all; even instantaneous movement techniques wouldn't be enough. No matter how fast he moved, some would inevitably hit. He was completely surrounded.

But at that moment, with a sudden whoosh, Uchiha Kouki vanished, his disappearance eerily swift and mysterious.

"Four gates aren't enough for that old fox; he's practically Kage-level. Opening more would severely strain my body; it's unnecessary!"
"Time to test the limits of the Eight Gates Formation!"
"Next, Amaterasu!"
"Revealing my Sharingan is acceptable."
These thoughts raced through his mind as the immense energy surging from Kouki's body abruptly dissipated. In the blink of an eye, he transformed from a raging, almost mythical being of power into an unremarkable genin.
"What? Out of energy?"
Danzō expressed his surprise, his keen eyes assessing the situation. With his extensive experience, he understood that ordinary taijutsu couldn't produce such overwhelming power; this was clearly a forbidden-level technique.
Such techniques typically have critical weaknesses. A ninja's energy reserves are finite; such a dramatic energy output couldn't be sustained indefinitely. Otherwise, the user would be completely drained of their life force.
"Try it yourself, and you'll find out," Kouki said confidently, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
Kouki's nonchalant attitude unsettled Danzō; he seemed too calm, as if possessing further hidden reserves of power. It also fueled Danzō's rage; he hadn't been so openly challenged in years, especially not by someone so young.
"You're asking for death!"
Danzō snorted, quickly performing hand seals, unleashing a powerful jutsu. "Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!"
"Amaterasu!"
But at that precise moment, Uchiha Kouki's ordinary eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses, instantly transformed into the Mangekyō Sharingan. He unleashed Amaterasu directly at Danzō.
An overwhelming sense of mortal danger, a chilling premonition of death, washed over Danzō. Instinctively, he aborted his jutsu, utilizing the Body Flicker Technique to evade, only to feel a searing pain in his right arm.
Looking down, he saw the black flames of Amaterasu burning fiercely.
—The sunglasses did not impede Kouki's vision, nor did they hinder the use of Amaterasu.
"You're fast," Kouki said coldly. Danzō's speed was impressive, though not as extreme as the Third Raikage's. He had managed to partially evade Amaterasu.
