'System, pour out all of the energy in a single shot,' Ryuk commanded, deactivating his *Shunya* and making his presence visible to everyone since he would not be sane enough to focus on anything.
His actions seemed excessive, but they were necessary to make contact with the people who created this Mechanism, and the reason to do all this was that lost language inscribed on this platform.
Even the artifact in Drishti's hand was influenced by his ability, cutting off the unknown energy it was receiving through runes. Although it still functioned, there was a noticeable effect.
But on that simple room's door, his ability didn't sever the energy from its source; instead, that language seemed to operate on a different principle, not simply drawing energy from something unknown and processing it, which allowed him to go this far in becoming a death flag himself.
[ Initiating....]
SWOOOOOOSHHH!
As if a dam had been broken, releasing the flow of a thousand tons of water into a small passage, it drenched his whole body from within, instantly increasing his energy levels.
[ Energy Reaching Limits: Early LEGENDARY --» Early ZENITH ]
[ Force Extraction initiated ]
Seeing Conduit hitting the limit of not being able to provide all of its energy in a single go, the System forced it.
[ Conduit's Energy Level falling: 80% --» 70% --» 60%....]
DING!
[ Energy Crossing Limit: Early ZENITH --» Middle ZENITH --» Peak ZENITH ]
CRACCKLLLE
"Kughh?!" Ryuk's body instantly became a source of illumination, engulfing the entire hall in intense energy, causing even the walls, reinforced by magic circles, to tremble at a rapid pace due to uncontrollable energy surging out of his body.
CRUMBLE
BANG!
"What is happening?!" One of the individuals shouted as a piece of the roof fell directly onto the floor beside him, instantly breaking it and leaving a small crater due to the impact.
"We can't move our bodies?!" Panic filled the whole hall as they found themselves stuck in their positions.
They were not weak, but the problem was that the falling pieces from the roof were denser, and they were unable to move.
Earlier, Ryuk's contemplation about these people being only strong individuals seemed to be true.
Except for six people present inside this place, everyone was in horror.
They were not fighters but employees, still with the criteria of selection being EPIC, which made them eat and apply several forbidden methods to increase their energy level to that place.
More like a facade of EPIC rank but not even able to defeat lower-ranked Veterans, now their bodies under the influence of The Authority were nothing but statues.
Did Drishti care about these people?
No.
After all, her eyes with slightly contracting nerves within them reflected the intense light coming out of the individual whose body was lifted to an inch from the floor.
CRACK! CRUNCH! RUMBLE!
'.....' Sitting on the throne, which was also not spared by the impact, causing the ground to break instantly reaching to her legs, the throne's armrest gripped in the hand which broke them instantly.
'Come on, Just one more,' Drishti's mind for the first time felt a surge of excitement, not because of the power causing the whole place to soon get destroyed but wanting to see that energy break threshold and reach the next level.
"H-he is a m-monster!" The old man nearby the Slab was the most affected by this event because everyone knew that this individual was only seventeen years old, yet he had already surpassed his mother's strength, breaking all previous records.
BANG!
SPLASH!
"AGGGHHHH!" One of the men's eyes widened, seeing the fallen rubble crushing the man beside him instantly.
They were far more capable of protecting themselves if they utilized their energy, but it seemed they had no prior experience in battle, except for just having very low dense energy making them appear at that level.
Ether-infused walls possessing a hardness of 1 million tons, falling from 20 feet, were far capable of killing them, who had the strength of Phase 1.
"P-please...Save...L-lady?!" Turning their eyes with only pupils moving towards the woman seated on the throne, drenched in a light accentuating her beauty even more, but it wasn't something they needed to care about in front of death.
Snap
"Mffff?!"
Seeing them disturbing her show, a single snap caused all the remaining eleven men's mouths to disappear.
Yes, it was erased and replaced with covered skin, stretching due to their jawbones opening, but pain due to skin tearing caused their eyes to have only agony in that moment.
This small event even proved how she doesn't need to speak to use her Authority, which was able to bend reality if needed to a certain extent instead of just controlling someone's body.
'Liege,' Regina seated on the throne, was looking at the young man whose strength was rising with each passing moment, no, more specifically, he was revealing his true strength, which he even kept secret when fighting Lady Drishti.
The reason for Drishti and Regina to not doubt it being a momentarily boost was because it was not possible to rise several ranks instantly.
It may seem confusing, but differences were in Quadrillions and Quintillions, let alone the energy in front of them was soon going to break through the ceiling of the above rank.
Even Drishti was aware of the Conduit being a Heaven-grade Artifact which sucked out energy and resonated the stronger the target is, but just taking raw energy and filling it inside someone's core was not possible.
It's just not possible, or else everyone would have become powerhouses with ease.
Energy Core can destroy instantly the moment one crosses a certain value of limit, it grows slowly instead of just boosting at once.
"Ughh!" Ryuk's body started to become one with a feeling far surpassing any limit; it felt like he was himself an Ether Core, his eyes glowing in an Amber aura with his body completely an energy source in itself.
It was impossible for him to not know the reason for his energy core not destroying due to these energy boosts, even though he used *Shunya*, but it was just to protect his insides from being burned by his own Core.
Everyone's size of the energy core was decided at birth, or instead slowly grew with them.
And Ryuk's core fell into the first category, evident of the effect of his paternal side.
[ Conduit's Energy level falling: 30% -- 20% -- 5%!]
[ Breaking The Limit --» Early 〖ASCENDANCY〗 ]
BOOOOOOOM!
The whole platform was blasted into several tiny pieces the moment his energy levels rose to that level, sending a shockwave to instantly destroy the whole hall.
Which was once called Flagbearer Confirmation Section, now a rubble.
CRUMBLE
THUD! THUD!
Pieces kept falling on the floor, while costing some meager lives, since all these sounds were just a backdrop in front of two people whose gaze was fixed on each other.
Two sharpest and most deep amber eyes were fixed on each other with only them existing in that place and no one else.
Drishti's eyes finally seeing something which really accelerated her mind, felt a rush to utter the words which she had waited too long to say to someone in her unknown life span, beautiful petal life's parting with gaze fixed on the young man's eyes, a soft yet vivid voice reverberated throughout the hall,
"Congratulations for surpassing our founding Ancestor, Ryuk."

Far away from Ardoros, within an expanse spanning a distance of 7,914.3 miles, where the night seemed to dissolve, a scream tore through the shrouding poisonous smoke, sending a small shockwave.
"Kkhhwweekkk!"
CRUNCH
"Shut up, you cockroach. Can't you see I am busy?" With a firm grip, Lucas shattered the metal like hard skull of the last remaining black creature, seated atop a huge mountain of carcasses filling an entire crater, which appeared freshly prepared unlike one a hundred miles away filled with the dark aura, aftereffect of the Rakshasa technique.
Thud
"Sigh, bro, I was just trying to take a small peek." Jumping down from the thirty-foot mountain, landing on the broken ground, Lucas sat with crossed legs, pondering how he merely wanted to catch a glimpse of Ryuk's brain, but something sent his body flying, severing his connection too.
"Let's start, shall we?" Closing his eyes, Lucas's body slowly became surrounded by a transparent barrier, enclosing him within.
"Huh, why can't I feel my body?" Lucas's eyes snapped open, realizing he couldn't even feel his body, let alone connect with it, leading him to one conclusion instantly: "Bro, did you destroy my body in anger?"
"So, it is indeed true that Ryuk Devereaux came out of his sleep."
'!?'
"Huh, is it you, Psycho?" Suddenly hearing a soft voice, Lucas turned towards a materializing figure.
From delicate fingers to arms slowly materializing out of thin air, a woman bathed in her own aura's illumination became visible in that darkened place, wearing a dark black robe, adorned with two furry black ears on her head accentuating her figure by a furry steady tail at back.
"....." Hearing Lucas's words, Iliantra didn't speak; she only stood, looking at him blankly with her black eyes, already accustomed to being referred to as such.
"Lucas, I received a message from Grandpa just now." Calmly stating the reason for her arrival, Iliantra lifted her hand to show a necklace, before infusing mana to play a message.
:: "My dear sweaty, today your Grandpa was asked for your hand in marriage by Lady Alisia's son. He is a very kind-hearted boy indeed, very humble even for an Ascendancy Ranker. I am giving you his Insignia's address; you both can talk." ::
'!?'
"What?! Bro is in Ascendancy?" Lucas's eyes instantly widened, finding it surreal and impossible to digest, only if he wasn't aware of the voice belonging to the head of the Flagbearer Confirmation Section, who would be able to see Ryuk's strength while providing the Insignia, he wouldn't have believed.
"Why did he propose to me?" Ignoring Lucas's surprise, Iliantra came directly to her reason for being here.
"What? Hey, aren't you surprised to know that he is in Ascendancy?" Lucas was already surprised, but seeing the composed demeanor of the young woman, he felt confused.
"Is it really surprising?" Narrowing her gaze, the woman, seeing Lucas's expression, completed her sentence, "He had killed two Legendary Rankers at the mere age of eleven."
"But wasn't bro in a coma for five years?" Lucas had already noticed the absence of any energy when he had brought Ryuk back after the battle with Lady Drishti, making it confirm that him in coma for such long time had halted his growth.
"To be exact, it's five years, eight months, and twenty-three days," Iliantra stated before continuing, "And yes, he was sleeping all this time, but he is different."
"Huh? Because he isn't native to Ardoros?" Lucas made a wild guess, taking Iliantra's words as meaning that Ryuk was different from them in resources.
"He is privileged and blessed by heaven, Lucas," turning her gaze towards the necklace in her hand, Iliantra continued, "He was born with a golden spoon, had a body with the purest bloodline, a mother who was just two steps away from being the head of the family, and a place devoid of any power struggle—a favorable place for anyone to train and grow limitlessly."
'....' Lucas kept looking at her while her softened gaze turned towards him before speaking.
"But we are not, Lucas. We were born in branch families, had the lowest bloodline purity, had to struggle all our way to this place, even going as far as to participate in the Heir Battle just to make a name for ourselves, alone unlike those who have a whole army moving with them.
So, Ryuk Devereaux is different, Lucas," Iliantra's gaze fixed on Lucas, while not feeling much from all this, after all, at the end, it was all true—she was nothing but an extra with nothing to support her back.
Lucas, hearing her genuine words, turned his gaze downward before slowly lifting it again, while blankly stating, "You damn psycho. Aunt got her foundation destroyed to protect her child and thrown in that shitty place which takes away one's energy, not in the least favorable for anyone to grow. Where did you get your logic from?"
"And still he killed two Veterans at such tender age....sigh, I am not going to argue with you on this, but it is true that we are just the background crowd standing while watching him get to the top. But whatever," coming out from her words, focusing on the main reason for which she was there, she stated, "Why did he ask for my hand in marriage?"
"Hey, you delulu, don't be delusional. Why would bro want to marry a below-average woman like you?" Lucas scoffed with a mocking face, looking at the woman with black hair and black eyes, unlike Devereaux members who had amber eyes, signifying the lowest level of purity in bloodline with proof being her two furry ears, revealing her as mixed blood.
"....I am aware, that's why I'm asking. Why would he ask for my hand?" Iliantra blankly stated, making Lucas realize why he refers to her as psycho, causing him to rub his forehead before realizing something.
SWISH
"Wait! That old man gave Bro's Insignia's address to you. Let me have it; I will convince him to share his location." Lucas closed the distance to grab the necklace from the woman's hand, but it seemed his approach wasn't appreciated.
SCHLKT
"Kughh!....Wh-why?!" Lucas widened his eyes, fixed on the thin long blade of the katana piercing his neck, gripped with one hand by the woman while her other hand holding the necklace was distanced from her body, leaning in a battle engagement position.
"Don't act like you're dying. I want you to accompany me to visit him." Iliantra narrowed her gaze while gripping the katana very elegantly, further explaining, "If he attacked me, with you being there, my chances of survival will increase."
"What? Bro will never attack anyone without reason," Lucas retaliated, defending the innocence of Ryuk.
'...' Hearing Lucas's words, Iliantra slightly leaned and glanced at the thousands of carcasses making a whole mountain, while oozing poisonous smoke with which she had protected her body using aura until now, she stated, "Just a moment ago, you were the one crying about your body getting destroyed by him in anger."
"...It was a misunderstanding." Averting his eyes while his neck was pierced by the thin sword, Lucas stated, not making any eye contact with her.
"Do you even believe your own words?" Not wanting to engage in more conversation with Lucas, her hand tightly gripped on her sword's hilt. With a calm and serious tone, she stated, "Are you going to accompany me or not?"
"No, I am not your servant." Lucas sneered at her proposal while moving his hand towards the blade piercing his neck, since, he was slightly feeling itchy there.
WHOOSH
A white aura shrouded the blade, evident of her decision to bring Lucas with her willingly or forcefully.
Iliantra's cold gaze settled on him before firmly stating, "If not your whole body, then pieces will be fine too, but we are going."

Inside the part of Ardoros Continent belonging to the Devereaux Family, a small event that occurred half an hour ago left an indelible mark in form of broken building.
"This confirms your participation, Young Master," the old man finally changed the way he referred to Ryuk's title, standing outside the hall once known as the Flagbearer Confirmation section, now turned into rubble.
"Thank you, I will definitely remember your request," Ryuk looked at a small mark embedded in his wrist, a seed-like tattoo which glowed when mana was added to it.
"Young Master, that seed represents the Devereaux Bloodline, which grows with time without any bounds," the old man pointing towards his wrist informed him about the reason for the seed being the Flagbearer's Insignia, a smile visible due to the young man's calm personality.
Naturally, he was the head of this Flagbearer Confirmation Section, providing Insignia to selected Flagbearers. Not everyone, but some individuals get blinded by enormous strength, making them develop a weakness which could lead to death in a battle where not only an individual but veterans of branch families will take part.
Even going as far as using cannon fodders who have the Devereaux Bloodline to kill strong Flagbearers by making them target such individuals and trigger the Bloodline's drawback, a simple way to deal with young men with irrational thinking.
But this young man never once showed arrogance or such an attitude, even after possessing such tremendous strength, making the old man reconsider his approach.
"Young Master, how about I tell you more about my granddaughter?" Seeing the young man's eyes fixed on the seed in his hand, the old man tried to seize the opportunity to somehow have this seed in his possession before it could become a humongous tree and overshadow whole Ardoros.
"...I appreciate your words, but I would like to excuse myself," Ryuk, already having obtained the Insignia, didn't want to delay any longer, ignoring the old man's attempt to set him up with his granddaughter. He turned towards Regina, asking, "Where is Lady Drishti?"
"She said she needed to bring something," Regina informed about the last message she received from Drishti before she left, after her declaration of him surpassing our founding ancestor or something.
"I see," Ryuk nodded before turning his attention towards the Insignia while focusing on his *Shunya*, towards that small area.
[ Host, wouldn't it be a problem ]
Hearing the system's voice, Ryuk understood the reason for its suggestion about the drawback of cutting off the Insignia's energy with its functions.
The Insignia was a mark that warned when any Flagbearer was within a mile distance, alerting for the preparation of battle with some additional functions like address locator, voice communication, and a transfer star.
The transfer star would only trigger when one Flagbearer died, sending the Insignia which stored that individual's name to his killer's Insignia.
Finally, after the end of the Heir battle, everyone returns to Ardoros and uses it to display their number of kills to rise in rankings.
Right now, Ryuk was isolating the Insignia from revealing his location, cutting communication from other Flagbearers, but the drawback was that he was shutting down all the functions, including the Transfer Star.
'I will free it when I kill a Flagbearer,' Ryuk told the system about allowing the Insignia to function for a limited time when he would deal with a Flagbearer.
SWISH
With a soft ripple in the air, a figure started to materialize with a soft smile adorning her face, with eyes of deep amber shade adorned with long eyelashes, adding to her beauty.
"Hm, take this Ryuk, It was your birthday right?" Drishti offered a black masquerade mask to him, looking exactly the same as Regina's but hers was white and this one was dark black.
"But, it was 23 days ago," Ryuk reminded himself about turning 17 years old after sleeping for a whole 5 years and 8 months when he was just 11 years and 4 months.
"I had guessed according to the last time Alisia went out from here. Whatever, wear it," Drishti revealed her information being based on his usual birth time and the last time Alisia departed from Ardoros.
"....I don't think, only I need a mask," Ryuk stated while looking towards the woman who wanted him to hide his face, despite having a beauty which was not less than 92, let alone in his sealed state where it reached 98.
Those words from Ryuk became an opportunity for Drishti to push him further, stating, "Do you really think I am that beautiful?"
'.....' Ryuk blankly looked at her, seeing through her intentions but choosing to keep his inner desires within. He replied, "Lady Drishti, I may be unknown to others, but you are a native of Ardoros. There are chances of people recognizing you."
Of course, he knew that all three of them carried amber eyes, different in shades but still screaming their identity as Devereaux members.
"My Liege, Lady Drishti is famous for sleeping all day. She has never once ventured outside Ardoros. As for me, I am the commander of my battalion. I do not leave unless there is eradication of any race," Regina interjected, not missing the chance to mock Drishti. She added, "But rest assured, I am aware of each race and location."
".... It's good to hear," Ryuk nodded before glancing towards Drishti, who seemed disappointed despite not showing any expression on her face, as if she had missed something important.
'What is the function of this mask, system?' Ryuk inquired, already aware that the mask given by Drishti couldn't be a mere show piece.

'!?'
'As expected from someone like her,' Seeing the information, Ryuk couldn't help but be reminded of Drishti's strength, who was giving away such high-grade Artifacts.
Meaning, Mundane Grade < Earth Grade < Celestial Grade < Heaven Grade.
This was the power system of Artifacts, showing how much value this mask in his hand held. Yet, Drishti had two of them, one she gave to Regina and the other to him.
Which also clarified the reason for their familiarity with each other.
"Are you using Appraisal on it?"
"Sorry?" Ryuk, coming out of his thoughts, turned towards the source of the voice, looking at the woman whose narrowed gaze spoke volumes— She had just been rejected one of her theories.
Meaning, she guessed that he was using an ability specific for Appraisal, and his confused reaction, caused by being entangled in thoughts, confirmed her suspicion that it wasn't that ability.
"Hm, So, what could it be?" Drishti, observing the young man who seemed composed now, tried to understand the way he was able to discern someone's identity or analyze Artifacts.
'Did she just...', Ryuk, aware of her tendency to go to any length to fulfill her interests, understood. She intentionally gave him this mask to keep him thinking about its rarity while confirming her suspicions— a mere loss for her interests.
Putting her speculation aside for another time, Drishti's eyes met Ryuk's, with a soft smile inquiring, "So, Ryuk, where do you want to go first?"
Ryuk, hearing her words, reciprocated her smile before stating,
"Isn't it obvious, Lady Drishti, Let's go to your bedroom first."

"Isn't it obvious? Let's go to your bedroom first," Ryuk reciprocated her smile.
"Aren't you asking for too much now?" Drishti's face turned serious, understanding the meaning behind his words.
"Getting it once wasn't enough; I need more," Ryuk expressed his desire to acquire more Artifacts, not just one, or at least see for himself what hidden treasures lay inside that room.
"I will let you have everything once you've won the heir battle. How's this?" Drishti proposed, knowing that those treasures held little value for her, and in exchange for her hobbies, they were trivial.
If Ryuk performed well enough, it wouldn't be a big loss for her.
"I appreciate it, Lady Drishti," Ryuk finally achieved the results he desired, knowing that it would be impossible for him to obtain anything without a deal, which was now settled.
If he had asked for this in the middle of the heir battle or at any other time, it was clear that due to her less interest in him, she would have never accepted it. But right now, he was an Ascendancy level powerhouse.
'Did I choose the wrong guy for my granddaughter?' Seeing the kind-hearted young man flirting with an other woman and of that level, sweat beads formed on the old man's forehead as he observed everything since early, doubting his decisions.
"Lady Drishti, could you suggest a place for me to increase my physical strength?" Ryuk inquired, already aware that no one could be a better teacher than the founding ancestor herself, but he doubted that he could really learn something from her.
He didn't doubt her, but he wanted to hear Drishti's recommendations.
"If it is regarding physical strength, then there is no one better than the Dariants to teach you," Drishti narrowed her gaze, glancing towards Ryuk's whole body as if gauging something, and informed him about the most suitable race.
"Hm, Darian—" Before Ryuk could think further about this race, he was interrupted by a voice.
"Please reconsider, my liege. Visiting that place isn't recommended; it could be a problem," Regina came forward, slightly bowing and informing about the need to avoid that place should be a priority.
"Why is that, Regina?" Naturally, he wanted to hear Drishti's recommendation but didn't want to trust them blindly.
What if, for her amusement, she placed him in some deadlock? That was why he inquired about her recommendation now instead of elsewhere.
"Once the heir belonging to the second major branch family, Devereaux-Blairs, went to that continent. While there, he was killed at the hands of a man," Regina explained the reason. Before noticing Ryuk's gaze, she further explained, "Even though it was the fault of that heir, the Blairs declared war against the Dariants."
Halting in her way, Regina noticed changes in Ryuk's facial expression and added, "After killing that man, the head of the Blair family wanted to eradicate the whole race on the pretext of his anger, but it became a huge mistake for them. The Dariants, being cornered, showed their might and took the lives of 2 LEGENDARY rankers and 6 EPIC ones."
"How many did they lose?" Ryuk, having already fought with LEGENDARY Level powerhouses, knew that even a single one of them, unleashing all their energy, could be enough to destroy an area of more than 120 miles, considering mana-infused lands.
"12,000," Regina informed, aware that the losses from the Dariants' side were irreplaceable, but it was a rule that the strong ones crushed the weaker ones.
"How many years have passed since then?" Time heals everything, or at least it will calm down the rage boiling inside them, which could be helpful for him.
"Liege, this event happened 98 years ago," Regina replied, glancing towards Drishti's direction, who seemed busy commanding some newly arrived men, specifically crew members for their ship.
Meaning, Drishti had already decided, so the best Regina could do was make Ryuk tell everything.
"98 years, it's not that long, but there is hope," Ryuk remarked, not looking at things from his old world's perspective, where the average age was 60 years, but in this world, even 100 years would be like some 20-30 years ago.
"Liege, exactly, it is not the end. Just three years ago, the head of the Blair family was killed by the daughter of that same man," Regina revealed a crucial issue here, seeing Ryuk reaching conclusions.
"So, is there any retaliation from the Devereaux family?" Technically, if it was some heir's death, then it should be the family's problem, but now that a head of a major branch family had died, it was inevitable for the Devereaux family to intervene.
"Ahem," the old man, seeing the conversation between Regina and Ryuk becoming an embarrassing history for him, intervened. "Young Master, exactly, the previous head of the Blair family is the father of my granddaughter. So, I would like to take the conversation from here."
Hearing the voice that had etched in Ryuk's mind due to hearing it not known how many times, once again, he prepared himself to hear.
"Exactly, I had allowed him to marry my daughter because both of them were in love. But it seemed Blair just wanted to get hold of me, who had addresses of Flagbearers.
After the birth of my granddaughter, my daughter committed suicide seeing me becoming helpless, and the end result was me taking away my granddaughter with me," the old man's eyes turned downward with visible pain resurfacing, which was hidden behind a facade to help his granddaughter grow with a good life for all these years, with a lost smile forming on the helpless man.
"But what happened after the Devereaux family took actions?" Ryuk, not insensitive to his emotions, but when someone scratches healed wounds, it just gets worse, so he changed the topic.
"Oh, Haha, yes, I forgot about that. Exactly after Blair's death, the head of the family himself went to eradicate the whole Dariant race. But it seemed that they collided with the strongest being in existence there, Haha," internally, in some corner of his heart, after Blair's death, he had hoped that the person who killed him remained safe.
It seemed breaking when the decree was passed, but the Devereaux family had to take back their decree within a few days.
'Strongest being?' Forgetting about all things, Ryuk focused on that particular word of the old man's, since he was already beside someone who was considered the epitome of strength, if not for her confusing habits.
Naturally, there are two types of individuals: the first type exudes strength, discipline, and overwhelming presence, while the second type appears approachable and calm until they decide to assert their unfathomable might.
And among both of them, the second are far more dangerous, since no one knows when a single thing will offend them.
And until now, Ryuk had already understood the category Drishti fell into, making him always be on guard to speak calmly without becoming too friendly with her.
"It was a relief that Lady Drishti convinced that figure, somehow," the old man scratched his chin while remembering how, out of all the delegates, Lady Drishti herself decided to meet someone, even with her well-known isolated personality.
'So, that figure even made her involved in it, but the question remains,' Ryuk speculated on the threat level for Drishti herself meeting someone, then turned towards the old man and inquired, "Who is that figure?"
