Chapter 2
The Night Of The Nine-Tails
The day of the attack
The morning of October tenth, Blade would wake up and realize he had finally turned one. He then had a thought,
"I wonder when Naruto will be born. He should be born in the next few days."
Blade started to cry in order to alert his parents that he was awake. He began to get accustomed to this procedure over the course of the year. Soon he will be able to walk to the living room, or at least tell his parents he was up without having to cry or shit his pants.
Ranni came to his bedside, picking him up and seeking to calm him down.
"Oh, shh, shh, sweet baby, calm down, mommy has you now, no need to be upset," she softly sang
Ranni swaddled Blade in her shirt and gently rocked him. After about three minutes, Blade calmed down quite considerably.
Ranni brought him into the kitchen for breakfast, which consisted of rice and tiny pieces of fish. After the small family ate, Kaizer went to work. Kaizer was a Jōnin who took on A-rank missions; he brought home about five hundred and eighty ryo a month, but today he was just on guard duty, as he was injured in his last mission. Ranni was a stay-at-home mother who sometimes earned about eighty ryo by babysitting.
As Blade was walking around pretending to be a normal child, his mother took him outside to play, and as Ranni opened the door, the cool air and warm sun shone down upon Blade's blæc*, slightly tan skin.
The night of
Blade was having a normal day, until 19:53, that's when Blade thought that something was off, so when his mother wasn't looking, he climbed up to the window and looked outside.
Reflected in Blade's ashy-grey eyes was a dark sky that looked like it was having an internal turmoil; the clouds would go one way, then twist around going the other, then lightning struck down. The lighting looked like it was dancing in the sky, outlining a giant animal.
When Blade heard his mother calling for him, he quickly got down and tried to run to her, only to fall and scrape his knee. She quickly ran over and used a medical ninjutsu, as she used to be a medical-nin.
As she healed Blade, there was a sudden boom as a cave on the backside of the Hokage monument exploded open. Shockwaves flowed for fifty miles* in every direction.
As the shockwave ended, multiple streams of lightning danced throughout the sky until they connected and turned a reddish-orange hue, then they took a material form, turning into the Nine-Tailed Fox.
Ranni looked outside when she saw the streams of lightning. When the Nine-Tailed Fox took form, she screamed and ran to pick up Blade and bring him to a safe place to wait for Kaizer.
After about fifteen minutes, Kaizer barged into the house to seek out his family. As Kaizer was looking for Ranni and Blade, there was a fight outside: Minato, the fourth Hokage, versus Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox.
Once Kaizer found his family, they started to move toward the safety shelter near the outskirts of the village, opposite to where Kaizer was stationed. While they were running, the sounds of people's sandals resounded all around them. After ten minutes into their run to the shelter, there was another shockwave that made them all fall.
When Ranni fell, she turned to protect Blade and broke her right arm, but she made sure Blade was safe first, before healing herself to the best she could, and then they all started to move again.
This whole time, Blade only had one thought,
"Fuuuuuuuck! Why did this have to happen?"
Once they reached the midway point, Kurama launched a tailed beast ball. Although it had not hit the village, some aftereffects affected the village. One such aftereffect was that many buildings were engulfed into flames, including the building on the main street in front of Blade's family, which luckily missed them when it fell.
The loud boom that came from the falling building was so loud that even Kaizer had to cover his ears, and Blade had to faux fear, to make sure he was not found out. Blade ran up to his father and hugged his leg.
The family started to take another route, which led them to the Nara clan's foundation, when they heard the screaming of a child not far in age from Blade. Kaizer ran into the burning Nara building to rescue a young girl. When Kaizer returned with the young girl, he asked her,
"Hey, little one, what's your name? Why were you in there by yourself?"
The young girl coughed for a solid minute until she answered.
"M-my name Orphita, mommy and daddy were at work, the house caught fire."
"Poor girl, we will take you somewhere safe, then return you to your parents, okay?" asked Ranni
"O-okay," Orphita said weakly.
Blade's family, plus Orphita, start to walk again, but they keep running into dead ends and have to change routes more than twenty times. Each time, the sound of their sandals clopping grew louder and louder as they resounded throughout where they were. They eventually make a complete circle.
Blade had a thought,
"What the fuck is going on? Is someone trapping us here, or is every route actually blocked?"
There was suddenly a giant boom and shockwaves that went over sixty miles* in radius. It was caused by one of Kurama's claw slashes mixing with Minato's shadow clones and their rasengans.
The resulting shockwaves caused multiple buildings to fall on top of Blade, his family, and Orphita
Kaizer held up the buildings, but he was slowly losing strength, grip, and his stance. Suddenly, a pillar from a nearby building fell atop the pile that Blade and company were already under, causing Kaizer to lose all his strength as the pile of debris fell quickly, turning the already little light dark, when…
