Alina's POV
I clutched the hem of my dress in nothing but anticipation. Charmaine had her eyes glued to the road. She swerved the steering wheel once in a while, her expression nothing but cold.
"Are you sure we're going in the right direction?" she asked, a bit skeptical, her eyes darting to the GPS location I had entered.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I'm just confused about the area," I muttered, staring at Dad's text message on my phone. "But I need an explanation, sooner or later."
She didn't respond. She just hummed faintly and kept driving. Before we left the villa, we hadn't even had breakfast, it was a miracle we even got to shower...but we ended up having an argument that blew way out of proportion.
