Chapter 1: The God Who Fell From Another World
Year 1519 of the Sea Circle Calendar
(Roughly half a year before Monkey D. Luffy sets out to sea.)
Sky Island – Upper Yard, Sanctuary
The morning sun bathed the golden canopy of the Upper Yard in soft light. Within the heart of the ancient shrine, a gentle voice broke the silence.
"My Lord, are you awake? Dawn has arrived, and the angels are ready to serve breakfast~"
Lucien stirred from his rest, slowly opening his eyes with a contented sigh. Turning his head, he was greeted by a radiant smile.
A young woman with golden hair tied into twin braids that curled upward playfully looked at him with soft, teasing eyes.
"Morning, Conis," Lucien said, running a hand through her silky hair.
"Good morning to you too, God-sama," she replied sweetly. Her smile widened as she rang a small golden bell beside the bed.
Moments later, six angelic attendants entered the shrine, their footsteps light as feathers. They set a grand meal upon the dining table—cloudberries, grilled sea beast, and steaming white-sea rice cakes.
After helping Lucien dress in his ceremonial robes, Conis walked hand-in-hand with him to the table. While she ate beside him, the attendants fed Lucien in turn, treating him like a revered emperor. He was already accustomed to this life of godlike luxury.
But while he sat in comfort, his mind drifted elsewhere.
Lucien—formerly a human assassin from another world—wasn't born in the Grand Line. He was a traveler from another reality. Unlike souls that merely possessed a new body, Lucien had crossed over entirely, bringing his own unique physiology. This made his training far less effective compared to those born in the One Piece world.
Luckily, he had awakened to the powers of the Goro Goro no Mi—the Rumble-Rumble Fruit—allowing him to strengthen his body through the forging power of lightning.
Still, there was no sign of a system awakening. He had expected some kind of cheat or digital prompt—but it never came. So, with no system to guide him, Lucien seized power the only way he could: by becoming god of Skypiea.
His union with Conis had brought unexpected benefits. During their time together, he noticed subtle changes—his strength growing. After careful testing, Lucien realized it wasn't mere coincidence. Her presence somehow triggered growth. Perhaps this world rewarded bonds with important characters?
Thanks to Conis, he had already awakened basic Armament Haki. It wasn't as powerful as his lightning, but it gave him the edge to strike Logia users who normally couldn't be touched.

Flashback: Earth, months ago…
Lucien, once known as the "King of Killers," had just completed his final mission. He leaned back in his gaming chair, watching the latest episode of One Piece. Monkey D. Luffy was battling Kaido in Wano, and in a surge of determination, had awakened his Devil Fruit—revealing the mythical Sun God Nika form.
Then came a voice—ethereal and feminine:
"Lucien… do you wish to live freely in the world of pirates?"
Before he could respond, a vortex appeared beside him and pulled him in. He glimpsed three beams of light rushing into his body before everything went black.
---
He awoke lying atop something large and round—he stumbled, then looked back and realized with horror.
He was sitting on Enel's face.
The man was unmistakable—turban, drums on his back, long earlobes. Somehow, Lucien's arrival had annihilated him. (Apparently, transdimensional energy didn't care about Logia intangibility.)
Even more shocking—Lucien could now summon lightning. He had inherited the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
The rest came quickly. No one on Skypiea had Haki, and with Enel's power, Lucien took control effortlessly. He overthrew the self-declared god and declared himself the new ruler.
Gan Fall, the previous "God," tried to resist, but Lucien put him down. Even Gan Fall's mount Pierre was struck down by lightning.
Lucien began experimenting. Could he absorb other fruits? He eventually succeeded, using his lightning to extract and store Devil Fruits. One he labeled "Mama"—probably a reference to an unnamed power, saved for later use.
Strangely, when Lucien immersed himself in White Sea Water, he didn't weaken like other Devil Fruit users. His conclusion: his body wasn't bound by the rules of this world.
In two years, he developed his power, built his influence, and took over the upper half of Skypiea. The Ark Maxim hadn't been built yet, meaning Enel hadn't yet prepared to invade the Blue Sea. Luffy wouldn't arrive for some time.
That gave Lucien room to grow.

A soft voice interrupted his thoughts.
"My Lord, the Shandians submitted their petition of surrender yesterday. They await your command."
Lucien nodded. "Tell Shura to meet me in the palace."
Shura, Ohm, Gedatsu, and Satori—the former Four Priests of Enel—had survived. Though broken by Enel's harsh rule, they had started to recover under Lucien's leadership. He had converted them with a killer's precision, making them loyal servants.
The Sky Islanders were docile and quick to surrender. Most simply hoped the new god would be less cruel. But the Shandians were different—fierce warriors descended from the ancient people of Shandora.
Still, Lucien saw them all the same: as useful labor.
He wouldn't waste troops fighting them. Time would do the job. Once the Shandians saw the Sky People living comfortably under his rule, they would fall in line.

Upper Yard – Royal Palace
In the grand hall of the sanctuary, the Shandian Chief stood respectfully, flanked by Wyper, his most trusted warrior.
And atop the throne, wrapped in robes of gold and lightning, sat Lucien—the new god and emperor of the sky.
