Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Sky Belongs to Me

‎Chapter 3: The Sky Belongs to Me

‎Laqi had never seen a man like him.

‎The warriors of Shandia were rough, often covered in mud and scars. The sky people were a little better groomed—but still casual, almost lazy in appearance.

‎But Lucien?

‎Sharp features, dark flowing hair, and an aura of power that crackled like thunder in the air. He was elegant and untamed all at once. Compared to the men of Skypiea, he looked like a god descended from another plane.

‎No wonder people call him "Lord God"...

‎For a moment, Laqi's thoughts wandered—until Lucien gave her a calm, knowing look.

‎"Hmm?"

‎"Ah—yes!" she snapped to attention, cheeks turning pink with embarrassment. She opened her mouth to offer an excuse but quickly noticed a flicker of impatience in his expression.

‎She shut her lips tight and quietly sat beside the couch, obediently starting a conversation about her life in Shandia. Her words flowed cautiously, like someone unsure if they were allowed to speak.

‎The Next Morning – The Imperial Shrine

‎Lucien stirred as sunlight bathed the golden curtains of the palace. A familiar voice whispered:

‎"Good morning, Lord God~"

‎It was Conis, her tone playful and affectionate.

‎But Lucien wasn't ready to rise just yet. He reached out, pulling her gently into his arms.

‎"Ah—! The angels are waiting outside…!" Conis giggled nervously, but Lucien ignored her and stayed comfortably wrapped around her warmth.

‎Even if someone like Shirahoshi had walked in, she wouldn't have escaped. She'd be blushing and curled in his embrace within moments.

‎Eventually, he got up, dressed with help from both girls, and joined them for a divine breakfast.

‎As he flexed his right hand, Armament Haki swirled darkly around it. He nodded in satisfaction.

‎His training had paid off.

‎He could now harden both hands, his Haki denser and more efficient than before.

‎Despite not being born in this world, and having a body that resisted typical power-ups, Lucien had already bypassed most limitations. He wasn't affected by seawater or Seastone. Still, he wasn't ready to test multiple fruits on himself—not until he found a safe method. Perhaps using pirates as test subjects first...

‎A soft voice interrupted his thoughts.

‎"My Lord God, the Ark Little Proverbs has been completed. Will you inspect it today?"

‎It was Conis again. No longer just a harp-playing girl, she had evolved. As Lucien's first divine consort, she was now deeply involved in administration, education, and governance.

‎Lucien nodded. "I've got time. Laqi, come too. You should learn to assist Conis. You'll adapt faster that way."

‎Laqi bowed lightly. She still felt out of place among the angels and palatial wealth, but she was trying. She had to.

‎Archaeological Site – Upper Yard

‎In a massive cave beneath Arpaiado, construction clanged and echoed. At its center stood a partially built behemoth: the Ark Maxim, the legendary thunder-powered ship that once belonged to Enel.

‎Though still far from completion, it would one day sail beyond the sky—perhaps even to the moon.

‎But near it stood a smaller ship, fully operational. Sleek and elegant, it was a modified version: the Ark Little Proverbs.

‎Designed with mobility in mind, it was powered by thundercloud generators and could glide across the White Sea with speed and precision.

‎With a crack of lightning, Lucien arrived alongside Conis and Laqi. The Divine Army saluted instantly.

‎"Lord God!"

‎Martins, captain of the Divine Army and head of engineering, stepped forward and bowed deeply.

‎"My Lord, Little Proverbs is complete. She's yours to command."

‎Lucien examined the sleek hull. Gleaming steel, gold trim, lightning conduits coiled like veins—it was beautiful. And functional.

‎"You've done well," he said. "When Maxim is complete, you'll have more work waiting. You won't be idle."

‎Martins saluted proudly. "We serve at your will, Lord God!"

‎He had every reason to be loyal. Under Enel, they were nothing more than tools. After building Maxim, Enel planned to erase them.

‎Lucien had saved their lives. For Martins, that loyalty was permanent.

‎Lucien traced a hand across the hull.

‎> It's time... soon, I'll make my move.

‎He had always lived with one rule: never suppress your desires.

‎He didn't hide who he was—greedy, lustful, power-hungry. That's why, the moment he arrived in this world, he'd claimed Conis for himself. Why hold back, when this world handed him the keys to the throne?

‎He had goals—and he would reach them all.

‎Drink the finest wine. Command an empire. Sleep with every woman he once thought existed only in anime. Claim it all—Nami, Robin, Boa Hancock, Shirahoshi…

‎Figurines once admired from afar were now within reach. And this time, he wouldn't be staring—he'd be taking.

‎Power? Wealth? Fame?

‎All just side effects of his greater desire: to become a true god.

‎As for the Marines?

‎A joke. Dogs of the Celestial Dragons, preaching justice while enforcing tyranny.

‎And pirates?

‎Thieves in fancy hats. Don't talk to him about "good pirates"—a thief is still a thief.

‎He didn't care for titles or factions. Only results.

‎And in this world, only one name would matter.

‎Lucien—the man who took the sky, and was coming for the sea next.

‎As he stood between Conis and Laqi, lightning sparking faintly at his fingertips, he smiled to himself.

‎The world wasn't ready.

‎To be continued…
