Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Judgment of Ice

Inside the blazing chamber of the Royal Court, flames flared as King Marshel Moto Fire III stood in rage.

"Spearguards!" he shouted. "Restrain Baron Mazora!"

The violet-haired fairy was forced to his knees, shackles glowing with mana-locks.

Moments later, Lucifer Kaito entered, calm and composed.

"Your Majesty," he said, "it is time to reveal the full truth."

The king narrowed his eyes.

"How did you know Baron Mazora was the traitor?"

Lucifer stepped into the center of the court.

"When I first arrived," he began, "I studied every face. Mazora's expression spoke volumes—his eyes whispered rebellion. That was my first clue."

He held up a battered spellbook.

"Second—when I examined the contents of the forbidden spellbook on Ice Razor (Circle 97), I noticed specific annotations:

'Critical hit effects: triggers mind corruption' 'Repeat casting creates puppet binds'

"The spell doesn't just freeze—it manipulates. Use it five to ten times, and the caster's victims turn into mind-controlled ice puppets."

Lucifer continued.

"During meditation the next morning, I visited Oto's public archive. There I discovered this exact book—originally purchased from Professor Jaspher—was rented under Mazora's name. That confirmed it."

He turned to the court.

"So, I baited him with the staged purification. But Mazora summoned his puppet army... forcing me to call Lord Metro, the ancient demon, who nullified their control and making them collapse "

Lucifer gestured to the healers.

"Doctor Turo will oversee all victims' recovery."

He turned back to the throne.

"Now, my judgment as detective:

Baron Mazora is stripped of his title.

Permanently banished from Oto Kingdom.

Sentenced to 50 years imprisonment in Goro Dark Prison, located in the Soil Continent."

Lucifer bowed.

"The case is closed, Your Majesty."

The king looked around. The court was silent. Then he rose.

"Let it be recorded in the fire scrolls of Oto—Detective Lucifer has spoken. Judgment stands."

King Marshel Moto Fire III rose from his throne, the firelight casting regal shadows across the chamber.

"Lucifer," he said, voice firm yet warm, "you have not only solved this case, but saved the kingdom itself from corruption and war."

He stepped down from the burning dais and extended a hand.

"As a gesture of gratitude, I invite you tomorrow morning to the Guest House Pavilion. There, we will unveil your new office—a fully equipped detective headquarters."

Lucifer bowed respectfully.

"I am honored, Your Majesty."

The king continued.

"It will be located in Owrun City, one of our most respected and vibrant districts. The building itself has been chosen for its reputation—famous across the continent for hosting brilliant minds."

He smiled.

"You deserve a foundation worthy of your legacy."

Lucifer nodded.
