Chapter 1 - The Little Fox

Tamio opened his eyes. He was lying on soft grass. The sky was blue, and big white clouds moved slowly. Tamio looked at his hands and feet. They were small.

He was a little boy. A soft voice spoke inside his head. "You are five years old now." Tamio looked around but saw no one. "Who is talking?" he asked. "I am the Tamer's Heart. I live inside you. I help you talk to beasts." Tamio felt surprised. "Why?" he said. "You were brave in your last life. You helped someone. Now you have a new life and a gift."

Tamio stood up. He saw a tiny orange fox behind a bush. The fox looked scared and hungry. Tamio knelt and picked a berry to share. The fox ate slowly and licked his hand. Tamio smiled. "I will call you Mira."

The fox wagged her tail a little. A soft sound told Tamio, "New beast tamed: Mira. Trust: 5%." Tamio felt happy. He was not alone.

Tamio and Mira walked slowly. The forest was full of tall trees and soft shadows. The sun was warm but would soon set. Tamio wanted to find food and a safe place to rest.

He saw a big tree with a hole near its base. "We can sleep there," he said. Mira sniffed and seemed to agree. Inside, the tree hole was dry and warm. Tamio's stomach growled. He looked for more berries nearby and picked some red, purple, and orange ones.

He shared them with Mira. They ate quietly and felt better. After eating, they curled up together. Tamio felt safe next to Mira. A soft voice told him, "You fed your beast well. Trust grows." Tamio smiled and closed his eyes.

That night, Tamio woke up. The forest was quiet and dark. He heard a snapping sound. Someone or something was nearby.

Mira woke too and felt scared. Tamio whispered, "Stay quiet." They listened as heavy footsteps came closer. Two yellow eyes appeared outside the tree hole. The beast growled and scratched the tree. Tamio had no weapon. He hugged Mira and stayed still. The beast sniffed again, growled once more, and then walked away.

Tamio waited a little longer, then breathed out. Mira looked at him gratefully. The voice inside said, "Mira trusts you more now." Tamio leaned back and stayed awake a bit longer to keep Mira safe.

The next morning, the sun was warm. Tamio wanted to learn how to talk to beasts. He asked the voice inside him, the Tamer's Heart, how to do it.

The voice said to listen with his heart and be patient. Tamio saw a rabbit eating grass nearby. He walked slowly and sat down without moving. The rabbit stopped and looked at him but did not run away. After some time, the rabbit ate again.

Tamio smiled and said, "Patience." He looked at Mira and said, "We will learn together." Mira wagged her tail. Tamio felt happy and ready for the journey ahead.

Tamio walked with Mira along the forest path. They looked for more animals. Suddenly, Tamio saw a small bird with bright blue feathers sitting on a branch.

The bird sang a short, sweet song. Tamio stopped and watched. He wanted to be friends with the bird. He said softly, "Hello, little bird." The bird looked at him, curious but shy. Tamio smiled and said, "I won't hurt you." The bird fluttered its wings and flew down to land near him. Tamio held out his hand, and the bird hopped closer.

Mira watched quietly. Tamio laughed and said, "A new friend." The bird sang again, and Tamio felt it was a good day.

Tamio and Mira walked through the forest. The sun was warm and the air smelled fresh. Tamio wanted Mira to feel safe with him.

He held out his hand and said softly, "It's okay. You're safe now." Mira sniffed his hand and stayed close. Tamio felt her small heart beating fast but saw she did not run away. He smiled and knew trust was starting to grow. They stopped by a small stream.

The water was clear and cool. Tamio drank and let Mira drink too. He thought about the voice inside him. He closed his eyes and tried to feel what Mira felt.

He felt hope and fear. Tamio promised to protect her and help her grow stronger. Together, they would explore this new world.

Tamio and Mira reached the edge of the forest. They saw a small village with wooden houses. Children played and laughed. Tamio felt nervous but curious.

He wanted to meet other kids. Mira stayed close, watching quietly. A boy came running up to Tamio. "Hello! Are you new here?" the boy asked with a big smile. Tamio nodded. The boy said, "I'm Riko. I have a wolf beast." Tamio smiled back and said, "I'm Tamio. This is Mira." Riko looked at Mira and said, "She's cute!" Tamio felt happy.

For the first time, he felt like he belonged somewhere. He knew he would make friends here.

The next day, Tamio went to a big building in the village. It was the Tamer's School. Inside, many children learned how to tame beasts.

The teacher was kind and smiled at Tamio. "Welcome," she said. Tamio watched as other kids showed their beasts. Some had big beasts; others had small ones like Mira. The teacher said, "Taming is about trust and care.

Be patient with your beasts." Tamio listened carefully. He wanted to learn everything. Mira sat quietly by his side. Tamio felt proud to be part of this school. He wanted to become a great Tamer one day.

A few days later, the school had a small test. Each student had to show how well they knew their beast. Tamio felt nervous. He didn't have many skills yet.

When it was his turn, he knelt by Mira. He looked into her eyes and spoke softly. "Mira, trust me." Mira wagged her tail. Tamio showed how to pick berries and feed her gently. The teacher smiled and said, "Good job, Tamio.

You are learning well." Tamio felt happy and proud. He knew this was just the start. He wanted to learn more every day.

One afternoon, while walking home, Tamio heard a strange sound. It was deep and low, like a growl far away. Mira's ears twitched. She looked worried.

Tamio stopped and listened carefully. The sound came again, louder this time. Tamio wondered what it could be. He held Mira close and said, "Don't be scared. We will be okay." He wanted to find out where the sound came from.

Maybe it was a new beast. Or maybe it was a danger they needed to avoid.

Tamio and Mira decided to follow the strange sound. They walked carefully through the trees, listening closely.

The forest was quiet except for the soft rustle of leaves. Mira stayed close to Tamio's side. The growling sound came again, louder now. Tamio felt a little scared but also curious. He wanted to see what was making the noise.

After a while, they reached a small clearing. There, Tamio saw a big beast with dark fur. It looked hurt and angry. The beast growled as it saw Tamio and Mira. Tamio did not move. He whispered, "I won't hurt you." Mira growled softly to protect Tamio.

The beast's eyes looked sad. Tamio wanted to help.
