On the 8th day of the Ruby Year, Lucifer Kaito awoke at the 5th hour. After bathing and dressing in his polished black suit, he walked to the Oto Kingdom Meditation Hall, a sacred structure wrapped in elemental fire designs and digital glyphs.
For three hours, he meditated in silence.
At 8:00, he returned to Aunt Ilvara's home, where the aroma of breakfast filled the rotating tech-wood kitchen. She served Macho Noodles, Oto's signature spicy vegetable dish.
Lucifer ate the full plate.
"Aunt," he said, "I'll visit the café for a few hours. Mato's coming with me."
At the nearby café in Owrun Town, Mato asked curiously, "Bro, what are you ordering?"
"Chocolate coffee latte," Lucifer replied. "Then we'll head to the Digital Park."
In the Digital Park, the two brothers played virtual games, chased glitch-butterflies, and explored augmented magic zones. At the 11th hour, they returned home and shared a meal of Meli Leaf Salad, refreshing and earthy.
Lucifer stood, adjusting his coat.
"Aunt, I'm heading to Marcel Restaurant. I need to ask about the Mana Soup recipe—it's said to restore mana instantly."
Inside Marcel Restaurant, the air was warm and flickering with rune lights. The owner, Mastora Obeta, greeted him.
"You're the detective candidate, right? The soup's recipe is simple—lotus-root essence, fire pepper extract, and mana-infused broth. It's rare, but powerful."
"Thank you, sir."
Mastora smiled. "Good luck on your first case, boy."
At the 14th hour, Lucifer arrived at the Costella Stand near the restaurant. A road-jet roared down the boulevard and parked beside him. Guards and knights, dressed in blazing Oto suits marked with the royal emblem, lined up to form a path of honor.
From the jet stepped General Frozy Caron.
"Lucifer," he said firmly, "are you ready to solve the White Child's Body Case in Carpted Town?"
Lucifer nodded once.
"Then come," Caron said. "We depart for the King's Palace in two minutes. Your future begins today."
Lucifer stepped into the jet, eyes steady. The kingdom was watching.
