Chapter 4 - Father's Rage

A Longsword formed in Levian's hands.

Wielding it made him feel like a god.

The weapon stood almost as tall as he, though the blade was slender.

The hilt and handle were wrapped in onyx black star leather, and the blade did not seem physical. It was made from an obsidian purple stone, and was shrouded by black dancing flames.

Levian was about to go over the weapons information, but before he could, a portal suddenly tore through the space in his room.

It started as a small circle, but then was torn wider by two skeletal hands that tried to claw their way through!

Levian tried to take a step backwards, but it was as though the portal was forcing him to stand still.

The tear grew wider, and a gust of powerful wind flowed into the room, sending objects and furniture flying.

An eye stared through the abyss of the portal, before the entire head poked through.

It was a grey skeletal face, with a black crown atop its head. It carried so much malice with it, that Levian felt his legs wobble.

But then, Levian remembered something.

The sword in his hand.

The rough star leather handle in his hand reminded him of the power he was currently in possession of.

A Mythical weapon, one of the rarest items that existed in the known worlds.

With great effort, Levian lifted the blade into a readied stance.

A fierce black flame roared from the blade, as though the longsword had been shifted into gear.

The skeleton faltered for a moment, clearly frightened by the sword in front of him.

Moments later, it slipped it's face back into the portal and used it's boney hands to draw it shut.

The room settled, and Levian was left alone, panting for breath that he was unaware of losing.

"I survived... somehow."

What the hell was that thing?

But before he could ask himself anymore questions, footsteps came from outside of his chambers.

And they were approaching fast.

Too fast for him to get rid of the evidence.

The door burst open.

There stood his father, Lord Odin. On either side of him were his two greatest fighters.

Behind them, Levian spotted his two brothers Malachi and Adam.

Behind even them were maids, and his mother Amara.

He had drawn the attention of the entire estate, and now, they all stared at him as he held a mythical grade longsword in his hand, and his room was completely ruined.

"What the fuck?" Malachi cursed.

Before Levian could say anything, he noticed his father suddenly vanish.

When he reappeared, his fist was swinging into Levian's stomach.

The force lifted him from his feet, sending him flying towards the other side of the room.

He crashed into the window and flew out of the room, landing on the grass outside with a thud.

The gardeners looked over at him, confused at the sudden commotion.

All Levian could do was wheeze on his back.

The wind had been completely knocked from his stomach and he felt like he couldn't move.

However, as he looked to the side, he found that his sword hadn't left his grip.

And his father was approaching from the window with seething rage.

Have... to act... fast...

He accessed the weapons information.

Levian understood now.

He understood it all.

As he pushed himself to his feet and stared down his approaching father, his grip tightened around Nyx.

Odin's red cape flowed behind him, and his hands rested in his pockets. Behind him, the others watched events unfold from the window of his room.

"I'm contemplating whether I should just kill you here, on our estate, or give you a chance to explain yourself." Lord Odin's voice rumbled through the gardens.

Levian stood there, silent, but ready.

"Where did you get a mythical grade weapon?" Odin then asked.

"From my... talent. I awakened yesterday."

Odin removed his hands from his pockets and clenched his fists, losing patience.

"I was there, Fool. You did no such thing."

"Not at the ceremony... it was back at home, where I found an awakening stone on my bed."

Odin's eyebrows raised in shock.

"You can ask my servant, Cassius. He was there for the whole thing."

"Is that so?" Odin spoke, turning around to the others watching. "Somebody fetch the girlish elf and have him brought to the dungeons. If his story plays out, then he has some explaining to do."

Then, his eyes turned back towards his son, who somehow wielded the mythical grade sword.

"And you will come with me for questioning. Then, you can tell me all about this "talent" of yours."

Levian let out a sigh of relief.

For now, he didn't need to fight his father.

Though that didn't mean that he was safe.

There were still so many questions that needed answering, and things that he had been careful of.

Otherwise, who knew what sort of fate he could meet.

But for now, he nodded his head.

"Yes, Father."
