He has an average backstory, average looks, average powers and an average goal.
One day, Kim Jun Woo was at home, taking a long rest after a tiring gate hunt.
He was lying down on his couch, staring at his phone screen. He was scrolling through the latest news.
A bright light suddenly appeared catching his attention. It came from his room.
'huh? That seems sus...'
He rolled out of the couch and stood up, walking towards his room.
He peeked inside and there was...a weird looking creature?
He wasn't sure what he was looking at, let alone how to describe it.
It was like...a unicorn dragon slime bunny cat hybrid?
'what is that thing?' he stared at it.
It moved and looked up at him, making him jump.
'ah...it's alive...'
"N...Nyu?"
Jun Woo stared at the creature 'is this a monster that escaped from a gate?'
The creature started talking again, in Korean... "H...hello?" It was not the worse Korean he'd ever heard. It was like...the same as Darren's supposed 5 years of watching kdrama experience.
Either way, he could at least understand it. "Why are you in my room." He asked.
The creature tilted it's head(?) he couldn't tell.
"I...I can't seem to remember anything...I don't know who I am or why I came here."
"Could you...help me?" It asked looking up at Jun Woo with innocent doe eyes, or perhaps terrifying, uncanny too-realistic ones.
"Sorry, but no." Jun Woo rejected. He already had a lot on his plate and adding a mysterious ugly looking creature was not gonna make it any better.
The creature looked surprised, as if not expecting this. "B–but you have to!" It begged.
"Why?"
"I dunno...aren't you a hero?"
Jun Woo paused and stared at the thing.
A hero. That's what he always wished to be, but a hero he is not. He's a C-Rank hunter who cares for no one except himself.
"No, I'm not."
"Please! I'll help you in exchange!" It cried.
"What can you do?" Jun Woo asked, crossing his arms.
"I may not remember much but...I'm certain I was a powerful being. I can do a few magic and spells here and there. I'll help you with whatever you need!"
Magic and spells? That'd certainly would be helpful for the man when hunting dungeons.
Jun Woo thought for a moment, staring at the thing.
He sighed, "sure, I'll help." The creature lit up.
"But on one condition– you'll have to help me until I get my goal." The creature nodded repeatedly "of course!"
The two shook hands (was it even their hand?) and the deal was settled.
"So...what am I supposed to do?"
"I don't know."
The two stared in silence.
"How about this..." Jun Woo started, "can you transform to something like me?" He pointed at himself.
The creature tilted it's head, "what do you mean?"
"Like change your form to become something similar to me."
"Hmm..." The creature contemplated before nodding, "I think so."
It began chanting a spell and a bright light with weird looking symbols appeared in the air. Jun Woo stepped back instinctively.
After a moment of flash, the creature changed its form and Jun Woo stared in bewilderment.
'what the...'
"How do I look?" Standing in front of him was a tall man with long pink hair and sparkly blue eyes.
"Why did you choose that hair?!" Jun Woo shouted at the man standing in front of him.
"Eh? Is it not good?"
"I mean– why pink? Out of everything else pink?! Seriously?!"
"Well...isn't yours pink?"
"It's Red! And mine doesn't look as obnoxious as yours!" He scolded the man who looked down like a sad puppy.
"Change your form!"
"To what?"
"I don't know! Something more normal like black hair and blue eyes!"
"Hmm...alright." The man started the spell again.
This time, the creature had transformed into a man with short black hair and sharp blue eyes.
"Better?"
Jun Woo nodded, "that's better."
"Although ...I should probably get you some clothes." Jun Woo said as he peeked down.
Jun Woo quickly searched through his closet and threw a hoodie and some baggy pants at the man.
"Quickly put them on."
The man stared at the clothes then at him, "how?"
He sighed. This was gonna be a lot harder than he thought.
