What Atlas said might have been something Lola quickly pushed aside when Second came, but it didn't truly leave her mind. Once she appeased Second's cravings and played with Chacha, dropping them off at the kids' play area where Penny's children were, she made her way out to the back patio.
When she arrived, Penny and Finn were idling there.
"Hey, sis!" Penny's lively voice echoed, earning a short smile from Lola. "Huh? What—what happened to you?"
Lola blinked, brows furrowed. "What do you mean? What happened to me?"
"Haha. She meant, why is your smile so short?" Finn chuckled, relaxed in his seat. "She can be very demanding."
"Ahh…" Lola shrugged. "Nothing, it's just that… I don't know if I misheard something."
She paused, snapping her eyes toward the two of them. "What are you two doing here, by the way?"
She thought everyone was here because only the castle's butlers had been with the children. Atlas stayed behind to discuss something with the butler.
