To summarize: shortly after turning 5, I suddenly realized that I was in the world of HUNTER×HUNTER and that I possessed memories from a previous life. However, since my memories before age 5 are fragmented, it seems I was reincarnated as Gon from the very beginning, rather than possessing his body. The only thing I can clearly recall is the moment I became self-aware.
Fortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone will think my personality suddenly changed, since I was already recognized as a mysterious child who acted strangely from a young age.
Now, let me explain the main reason why I believe I'm a reincarnated individual rather than someone who possessed this body. It can be summed up in a single sentence:
"At age 5, Gon already had his spiritual orifice open and was maintaining his aura."
Those familiar with HUNTER×HUNTER will understand how absurd this is. In the original story, Gon doesn't awaken his Nen abilities until age 12, and even then, it's through an unconventional method forced upon him by others.
On the other hand, I spent the time from what I believe to be birth using only a small portion of my time for "sleeping, eating, and defecating," and even after I could move around, I devoted only a small portion of my time to "playing, eating, sleeping, and defecating," steadily accumulating training. Through prolonged meditation, I awakened to Nen, following the orthodox path.
You might say that Gon, who should have incredible talent, taking five years to awaken his Nen means I should restart my "Nen awakening speedrun," but that's just nonsense. A child's instincts are truly instinctive. In fact, I'm proud that I was able to awaken almost unconsciously, with little knowledge of the original work's specifics.
That said, my Nen is still unstable, and when I sleep or eat, my aura leaks out like water from a broken faucet, so I'm still a beginner at best.
Now that I've assessed the current situation, I want to think about what to do next. Specifically, I need to determine my position as the protagonist in relation to the original storyline. The option of not getting involved with the original plot is completely off the table. While there are certainly many dangers awaiting me, the benefits I can gain—such as connections and power—far outweigh the risks.
If I stay as the original Gon, I'll meet my end in the Chimera Ant arc, but thanks to having already learned Nen, I was able to defeat the fox bear in the forest recently, so deviating from the original story doesn't seem to be a problem.
As a fan of HUNTER×HUNTER, I have a strong desire not to destroy the original story, which is both the origin and the pinnacle of the series. However, now that I've been reincarnated as Gon, I've developed an ambition that I want to achieve, even if it means going against that desire.
"I want to become the strongest Gon I can imagine."
As a fan of the original work, everyone has probably imagined new Nen abilities or modified existing ones for fun. Of course, I too have fantasized about numerous abilities and constantly pondered what kind of power would make one truly the strongest.
Now that I have been reincarnated as Gon, the protagonist and one of the most talented characters in the series, if I don't aim for the absolute strongest, I would be unworthy as both a man and a fan of the original work.
With that in mind, I've decided to position myself as a quasi-master using my knowledge of the original work. If I can maintain my role as one of the three best friends, I might be able to create opportunities during the Hunter Exam arc, and as the levels of those around me rise, my own level will also rise more easily.
With that decided, I'll continue to stabilize my Ten while following the original Gon's example and striving to improve my physical abilities in nature.
