-CHAPTER 13-
-FUSHIGURO MEGUMI-
While I wanted the Subjugation Rituals to be full of fighting and excitement, I wasn't going to just pretend that I was the same as the first time I had tamed a Shikigami. I had grown by a lot in that timeframe. So obviously I would be able to just stroll through some of the Shikigami in the Ten Shadows.
Because while all of them were undoubtedly useful, not all of them were strong destructively.
I shaped my hands into the shape of a snake's head, as the shadows bulged-
Like the next one. "[Great Serpent]" or Orochi as it was also known as- HOLY SHIT!
"HIIIISSSSS~!"
The shadows beneath me bulged and- exceeding even my expectations- a colossal, like literally a building-sized white serpent with a tanned yellow underbelly and black markings all over its body, including one on its forehead exited with its huge mouth open- showing off the impressive size of its front fangs, as it instantly swallowed me up-
All right, I admit it. I was wrong once again. Orochi is a powerful Shikigami too. And probably as will be Piercing Ox and Funeral Tiger. I thought as a smile crept up to my face, wind blowing back my hair as I fell into the snake's dark mouth... And this will be what makes it so fun!
Instantly I appeared back outside, having used the shadows inside the snake's mouth to teleport me outside. "But size isn't enough you know?"
And that was Shikigami's main weakness.
Instantly I reinforced myself, sprinting at it with a gust of wind, climbing onto its back with a jump, I have improved my physical strength by miles in the last few days… and using CE enhances it even more….
The snake tried its best to remove me, moving its body in a hurry but I was just too fast, quickly arriving on top of its head as I punched.
Boom!
"HIIIIISSSSS~!"
Wind pressure broke under the strength of my punch as the gigantic snake was thrown back, but before it could react I threw another CE reinforced punch.
Boom!
-wind strongly blew in my face, and as we fell back to the ground it reminded me of the thought I had gotten yesterday out of the blue.
I don't need to fire a strong 50 meter tall pillar or a thin laser everytime I use the abyss… I should be able to fire a weaker but much more repeatable blast too right?
"I've wanted to try this for a while now but hadn't had the right opportunity to." I said as I pointed one hand at the humongous snake, opening the portal to the abyss in between the shadows of my fingers and not bothering gathering it all in a concentrated blast, but holding it back for a just second.
And would it be wrong if I decided to take some inspiration from the first anime I had ever watched?
Looking down at the falling snake I smirked arrogantly. I can almost hear the BGM. "Be proud that you'll be the first one to experience this." And I swiped my hand upwards.
"Getsuga Tenshou."
Instantly a slash of darkness cut the falling and panicking snake's head, its yellow eyes wide with surprise at my attack as the two sides of his head fell to the sides, cleanly cut through the middle but only for about 5 meters.
So in return for the instant attack, its power is considerably weaker compared to either the Abyssal Sword (50 meter pillar sword) or the Abyssal Laser. I nodded. It was a fair deal all things considered.
Unfortunately, I can't call it Getsuga Tenshou because Bleach existed in this world and this was no way near close enough in power to a real one from Ichigo.
Just to be sure though I fired another one, marveling at the basically nonexistent CE cost of the attack. "The only problem I could see with this is that I need to swipe my hands to aim it and give it shape." I muttered as the gigantic snake died, its body disintegrating as I fell through it.
And it's also not invisible like the slashes of Sukuna. Who I had also taken inspiration from for this attack. I smiled as I finally landed back on the ground, smiling as-
CLINK!
I successfully tamed another Shikigami of the Ten Shadows, plus this time all on my own without any help from any of my Shikigami. Honestly, this fight was a full on success for me, as I could see myself using both Orochi and the… Abyssal Slash attacks many times normally.
