-CHAPTER 12-

-FUSHIGURO MEGUMI-

-A FEW DAYS LATER-

"Yes, that looks good." I nodded to myself in the mirror. My hair was now cut in a hairstyle and didn't resemble a bird's nest. In fact it was different from both Megumi and Sukuna and resembled Toji's more.

It really made me look both handsome and older than I actually was right now.

Not to mention how good my physique had been looking for my age (14 years old here) with the physical training I had been taking with the help of a gym subscription and constant heals from Madoka.

It has led me to increase my physical strength and stamina by a lot. One of my biggest weaknesses was now getting resolved bit by bit.

It had been a few days since I battled Gojo and lost. While it was a foregone conclusion that I was gonna lose, it didn't make defeat any less bitter. So seeing that the main reason for me losing was how much I had pushed my body in the last 48 hours, I had been taking a break from Jujutsu and mostly only training myself physically (gotta use those Heavenly Restriction genes).

"Thank you for your visit!" bows the hair stylist as I swipe my bank card. Ignoring her looks of shock and pity as she looks at my badly scarred and burned hands- Gotta do something about that. Nodding, I exit the barber shop sighing in amazement at the circumstances of my life.

Meanwhile, I had also taken painting as a hobby. Because I thought that both it and shadow puppetry was somehow related to my technique and it could help me sometime down the line. For now I was enjoying it, painting the pictures in my head onto a canvas was strangely very therapeutic.

On the topic of hobbies though…

I was also exploring Saitama (the town that Megumi lived in) a little. Sure, while I had memories from old Megumi and didn't need to do this, I just wanted to do some tourist-y things. It had honestly calmed me down by a lot as I wasn't constantly on the grind 24/7.

I sat down inside a Ramen Shop- ignoring the sudden bowing by a group of middle schoolers as they looked at me in fear. Seeing them I was reminded that the old Megumi used to beat up every delinquent in this area- gaining their respect and fear. I ignored them though, ordering some Udon as also I remembered the letter I had gotten the day after the spar with Gojo.

Mr. Fushiguro Megumi

You have been accepted at Jujutsu Technical College. Please present yourself at the administration by 1st May 2017.

Signed.

Yaga Masamichi

Principal of Jujutsu Technical College.

While it was short, it was to the point. And calling Gojo let me know that I would be in a class with 4 other people. I'm 90% sure that they would be Maki, Inumaki, Panda and most importantly Yuta…

And the first day will be tomorrow, my bags have already been packed, tickets have been purchased, and I was ready.

Since I was technically part of Zenin Clan and had the support of Gojo Satoru, I was pretty sure that I wouldn't have to meet Yaga in a personal interview, pretty sure that that was for Itadori only.

Besides all of that, my past few days have been very peaceful. And the only thing left to do now was…

I carried a bouquet of flowers as I entered the hospital building greeting the nurses who knew me and looked at me in pity. I was wearing some gloves this time so that the burns wouldn't attract attention.

I took a deep breath as I stood outside the door, gathering some courage. Slowly I opened it, an arrow of sadness and anger pierced my heart as I gazed upon the still figure of my sister.

She was beautiful even when sleeping. Brown hair that was sprawled across the pillow, beautiful looks that wouldn't look out of place on an actress. And the kindness of a thousand angels. She was my sister. Fushiguro Tsumiki.

And yet… all because of Kenjaku. She has been cursed- the only way of saving her beyond me. And I was stuck in a race against time.

Changing the flowers inside the vase besides her bed, I sat down in front of her, and started talking.

Well… about everything. About how I've been feeling, what's been happening, about my Shikigami, about my training, about moving to Tokyo to attend the "Jujutsu Hogwarts". And even about my rebirth…

Sure, some may call me a fool for telling anyone about that but I just didn't want to lie to the ones close to my heart. And it really wasn't some earth shattering secret either because in a few years reincarnated people would be a dime a dozen.

I mentioned how I wanted her to just wake up, to scold me, but to just wake up.

I didn't know if she could hear me. Or even if Yorozu could hear me. But I just…

I just felt desperate. Because defeating and taming Mahoraga was looking to be an even bigger and harder task than before. As I had a feeling that since the rest of my Shikigami were different and arguably stronger … that the Divine General was going to be an even stronger opponent than before.

And… even if I tamed him somehow… could his adaptations even be passed on to other people?

I hoped to god that they could, because if not… then all of my work would be for waste.

But I shook my head off of these negative thoughts. There's no use thinking about that when it's so far in the future. I just need to keep getting stronger and taming more Shikigami. And hopefully everything will turn out okay…

I then decided to move on to brighter topics, telling her jokes, about the casual antics of my Shikigami, and much more.

I stood up after a few hours, when the sun had begun to set; looking back I once again renewed my vow. "I will wake you up Tsumiki, I promise this. Just don't give up, and keep fighting Yorozu…" I hesitated before continuing softly. "I love you."

Then as I looked forwards and started going back, I failed to notice a tear fall from her eyes.

Unfortunately I was too caught up in thoughts of vengeance and had just remembered someone- something that would be coming after my sister in a year… and was very near…

I scoped out an abandoned swimming pool, nodding as I saw that it was perfect for my plan tonight. Putting one of my hands forward in a simple handsign, I incanted. "Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure."

I nodded in satisfaction as the simple barrier spread out covering all of the swimming pool's radius. It's good that Gojo had taught me how to make Curtains, or else I would be leaving massive residuals wherever I performed a Subjugation Ritual.

Well, he had done so because I had expressly asked that of him, telling him that it was a basic skill for a sorcerer to have.

Let's leave that aside for now. I shook my head, weaving the handsigns to summon my Shikigami. "[Nue]" "[Bansho]"

"Screech!"

"Neigh!"

I nodded to them. "Charge up the water Bansho." On my command Bansho started charging his water beam, not using the instant feature when it could come in handy later on.

"Nue be ready for my order." Nue screeched in agreement. Now being used to these things, I took out another metal bat from inside my shadow just in case.

I smiled confidently. "Let's do this!" and started weaving the handsign in the shadow puppet shape of a rabbit. "[Rabbit Escape]"

The shadows in front of me bulged as tens, hundreds, soon thousands of white rabbits with red eyes started pouring out. Looking down at them as they basically started filling the pool, I ordered quickly. "Fire!"

SPLASH!

WHOOSH!

The massive elephant, having been charging his attack for the last 5 seconds fired a colossal wave of tons of water at the wave of rabbits, clashing as instantly the wave of water killed many of them just from the sheer force.

And now…

Do you know what happens when a bolt of lightning is sent through a conductive water source? Spoiler; it becomes deadlier.

This was a very good combination move, the canon Megumi had also used this once in a fight against another student, Kamo Noritoshi, so that was an example of how good it was.

And while Megumi couldn't maintain both Nue and Bansho out at the same time, I had no troubles in that area. My CE reserves having grown a lot after fighting Gojo and pushing my body and CE to its limits.

Just then I saw it, the differences that I was beginning to notice in all of Shikigami.

The rabbits once again started multiplying, heading towards me with mindless abandon. But what stood out to me was when they opened their mouths until their jaws had eclipsed the size of their head. Showcasing the thousands of sharp pointy teeths inside their red mouth.

But that wasn't the end of it. They then started eating each other, merging into each other until all of them had become just one BIG rabbit.

I gulped. Okay that is some horror level stuff right there. Wanting to end this fight quickly now, I wasted no time in commanding. "Nue now!"

"KEEEEE!" The huge rabbit opened up his massive mouth of horrors screeching at us as it tried to fight against the ongoing wave of water that Bansho was blasting at it.

"SCREECH!" Nue took to the air as she swooped in towards the wave of water, understanding my order without me even telling her, firing multiple bolts of crackling lightning into the wave of water.

SPARK!

CRACKLE!

SIZZLE!

-And just as fast as it had begun, it was over. The lightning attack's power increased considerably inside the water, but showing off the durability of the rabbit's merged form, it hadn't died yet. But was merely paralyzed.

I sighed; this was the most boring fight yet. Heck! You couldn't even call it a fight. I have a feeling that the next few ones are going to be like this.

Once again, I sighed. Because I was starting to love how exhilarating a good fight made me feel... and a disappointing one didn't make me feel good.

I unsummoned both my Shikigami as I approached the huge paralyzed horror-movie rabbit. "I know how this feels, but unfortunately you didn't die in one hit. So just bear with this okay? I'll try to end this quickly." I said as I reinforced that metal bat and started slamming it into the still white rabbit. Wincing myself as I remember being slammed into the ground by Bansho.

That's really not a good experience. I sighed as I stopped after a few hits as the body of the rabbit disintegrated in front of me. I'm too strong now for the next few Shikigami and defeating them so easily is just… not satisfying.

Still…

 CLINK!

-taming them one by one will never stop bringing me satisfaction.

And this one is a horror movie monster mixed with cloning abilities, a deadly combination in right situations. Though the merged form is kind of useless as it gives up what I think to be its biggest strength of multiplication for not much gain.

I could think of hundreds of different ways I could use him honestly, but it all depended on the main- real rabbit being safe from being destroyed. I had an easy solution for that, just keeping him summoned into a shadow.

Unfortunately I couldn't make a Binding Vow to enhance his capabilities like I had for Gama. The reason was obvious, Binding Vows worked by giving you a disadvantage in one area to get an advantage in another. But in Rabbit's case there would only be an advantage for him if he stayed in the shadows.

"Now let's move on to the next one."
