After the events of the FFC, Ryu, Jin, Kai and Shimo have been laying low in the vast sea for over a year now, sailing on the ship they've stolen back from the church.
Flashback
"So what now. Do we just...go our seperate ways?" - Kai
"..."
"We can't go back to our homes anymore. And we need to keep a low profile for a while." - Ryu
"Mhmm?" - Jin, Kai and Shimo
"Their master told me...that his people will look for us because of what we did, and they won't stop until we're dead." - Ryu
"Look we can barely even use our abilities let alone control them. A religion like his is massive and full of people like matrys, they'll do whatever it takes to hunt us down. Besides...I bet non of us are eighteen right now so we can't buy jack." - Ryu
"I'm eighteen..." - Shimo
"..."
"Ok that's not the-" - Ryu
"I'm seventeen...if anyone wants to know." - Jin
"The point is-" - Ryu
"I'm sixteen" - Kai as he raises his hand
"..."
They all glare at Ryu
"My point is...let's just stay under the radar until the heat goes down! And I'm 17 alright." - Ryu
"..."
"...I could live with that" - Jin
"Yeah I don't mind" - Kai and Shimo
"But what are we gonna do live on this ship for how long? And what about food and other shit." - Jin
"We'll cross that bridge when we get there" - Ryu
One Year Later
"WHOA!!!" - Ryu with excitement
"This is a big one" - Ryu
Ryu is being dragged around in the midst of a stormy sea, holding on to an Atlantic Goliath Grouper. He doesn't halt or let go of it even though the tides are violent and could injure him.
"grlbglbrlbgrlblrlglrb, CMON" - Ryu struggling to breath
He zaps the fish and it immediately lunges into the air out of pure reflex.
Fish thuds onto the deck
"Huh...that's a big one" - Kai as he sharpens a pair of knives
Ryu climbs back on board
Ryu pants
"I got a damn grouper!" - Ryu in joy
"Biggest one so far" - Shimo as he hands him a towel
"Thanks" - Ryu
"I'm actually getting better at using my ability y'know." - Ryu
"You're not the only one" - Kai as he lights the grill with just his fingers
"Cool. Hey can we not flex our powers in front of a certain someone. - Shimo
"...He still in his room?" - Ryu
"Been in there all day" - Shimo
Ryu enters Jin's room
"Hey buddy" - Ryu
"I'm fine you don't need to check on me" - Jin while reading a book
"... I see you're enjoying that book huh" - Ryu
"Well I could be doing some wind stuff by now but...it's all good, no biggy." - Jin being sarcastic
Jin stands up and is about to leave
"... I sad I'm sorry, again" - Ryu feeling bad
"It's not your fault man, it's just...life y'know" - Jin looking at Ryu
Jin leaves
It turns to night and the boys begin to devour the grouper Ryu brought in and Kai had cooked flawlessly
"Thank you for the meal" - Kai
They eat
"...Shit's good" - Jin mumbles
"Thanks" - Kai
Awkward silence
"We should stop by the fish market tomorrow to trade them today's stock." - Shimo
"Yeah good call" - Jin
"..."
"And tomorrow's your birthday, eighteen right." - Ryu
"Hmm...at least you got something right." - Jin as he finished his bowl
"..."
"Look guys, I'm not mad at anyone, I didn't get any powers and I've accepted it, you don't need to keep reminding me ok. Life goes on for Christ sake." - Jin as he goes to his room
"Great convo!" - Kai as he shouts at Jin
"Sighs...I'll drop the anchor, I'm going to bed." - Ryu
"Night" - Kai and Shimo
"..."
"So what do we do for his birthday tomorrow?" - Kai
"Maybe buy him a cake, or take him out somewhere, or magically make him manifest his ability if we could?" - Shimo
"...I think cakes the better option. Anyways I'm gone, peace" - Kai
They all go to sleep and start preparing to go to the docks.
Somewhere else
"Sir, we have an assassination request from an anonymous person." - female voice
"So why tell me, just assign it or one of our hitman" - male voice
"There's also footage..." - female voice
