Kakumei no Jidai, is a secretive hitman organization, operating under the guise of a high-end consulting firm.
Beneath its corporate front, the company takes assassination requests from clients around the world. Their system is simple: clients pay 50% up front as a deposit, and the remaining 50% after the kill is confirmed. Despite their professional image, the organization accepts illegal and high-profile assassinations, including political figures and world leaders, as long as the job is handled cleanly and does not risk their reputation.
The organization's rank structure is strictly tiered. New recruits begin as Bronze, gradually working their way up through Silver, Gold, Platinum, and finally up to Diamond rank.
Above them are the elite: the Prodigies, who are either raised by the organization from childhood or recruited for rare natural talent, and the Legends, myths in the organization. No one knows how many exist. They're called in for historic or symbolic kills. Their word carries power even over HQ decisions, Kenny Kazuma and Kokushibe Sugawara happen to be Legends. These upper ranks command immense respect and, in some cases, even hold influence over leadership decisions.
Recruitment into Kakumei no Jidai is either one of four ways: The easiest and most common way to join is by passing the entry exam designed to test the recruit's skills, instincts, and loyalty. This exam is a challenge but the official gateway for most new assassins.
The next path is through recommendation—only Prodigies and Legends have the authority to recruit new members, reflecting the high trust and exclusivity of this rank.
There are those who were raised by the organization itself. These recruits may have been orphans, rescued or kidnapped children, or the offspring of assassins, taken in and trained from a young age to become exceptional killers.
The most dangerous and prestigious way in is the front desk application, where a hopeful must assassinate an existing hitman to prove themselves—this is the hardest and riskiest path and rarely attempted. Those who succeed through this route are usually promoted immediately varying from Gold to Prodigy, depending on how they perform.
The organization's headquarters lies in Tokyo's Shinjuku district, hidden behind the walls of a sleek and reputable business. Beneath the surface, however, lies a shadow network of training chambers, test labs, armories, execution rooms, interrogation cells, and the organization's enigmatic leader, Masayoshi Saito.
A specialized cleanup and PR division works behind the scenes to erase evidence, manipulate narratives, and ensure the organization's secrecy remains intact.
Kakumei no Jidai doesn't just kill for money — they kill for influence, control, and legacy. A revolution, not just in name, but in blood.
