Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Omnitrix?

Riven Kade was just a guy who loved Ben 10.

Not in a childish, but in nostalgic way. The kind where he could list all the alien names in order, debate which version of the Omnitrix was superior, and argue that Kevin 11 was more tragic than villainous.

At eighteen, most of the people in his life had moved on from cartoons.

Riven never did.

Maybe because it was the only part of his childhood that hadn't burned down.

...

The Night Before

The light of his phone dimmed as the last

episode of Alien Force ended.

Riven yawn and said "Classic. Still holds up."

He set the phone down beside his bed and stared at the ceiling.

No college since it summer and no friends to play with or talk . He was just an average person just like everyone and was still trying to learn and so that in the future he can live a comfortable life.

He mutter "Would be nice if I could just wake up with the Omnitrix already…"

His eyes drifted shut.

"...not that I'd save the world or anything. But maybe I'd stop being nobody."

.....

Riven woke up to silence he open his eyes and closed it again thinking that he was dreaming.

What he saw was Not the soft hum of the city. Not the ticking of his old wall clock, heck he was not even in his room or bed.

Just wind, dry and sharp, like it was cutting across stone.

He opened his eyes again.

Sky — but not the rights it was different like something has changed.

He sat up in a panic. Sand and black rock crunched beneath his palms. The land stretched out in endless, empty and deserted like.

Then he saw it.

The Omnitrix.

Green and glowing and was Real Latched to his wrist.

Riven whispered "No way…"

He jumped to his feet, heart racing. His

fingers hovered over the dial — just like he'd done a hundred times in his dreams. He turned it. The disc clicked. The symbol pulsed green.

He slammed it down.

Nothing happened.

The dial glowed yellow for a second. Then— the Onnitrix mechanical voice echo

"Alien database: empty. Transformation unavailable. DNA required."

"...what?"

He tried again. Same response.

"Alien database: empty. Transformation unavailable. DNA required."

His stomach dropped.

Riven mutter to himself "This is a dream right? then why couldn't i transform to anything?"

But at the moment he realised he could feel the sand in his feet.

"Even if it is a dream doesn't it feel to real? I mean I can feels the sand like it is real."

He crouch down and pick up some sand and its still the same.

" What how can this be?" And after thinking for a while he pinch himself and he could feels pain also.

"Wait am I really in another world with an Omnitrix that says, I don't have any DNA of aliens to transform?"

After thinking for a while he couldn't come up with anything so with no other choice, Riven started walking.

The world around him stretched far and wide — endless hills, canyons, and strange rock formations that pulsed faintly with leftover energy.

"Was I around the sea shore?" Because after walking for a while he saw trees and mountain.

He searched for people, for roads, for signs of life.

But nothing.

The Omnitrix didn't respond. No map. No compass. Just an empty interface and a taunting reminder of what he should be able to do.

Riven mutter "So I get the damn watch, that has no alien DNA in it."

A dry wind answered him.So he only kept walking hoping to find some life.

Night came quickly.

The sky turned violet, then black — speckled with stars that didn't belong to Earth. Cold set in fast. Riven found a cave near the base of a ridge and sat down, wrapping his arms around his knees.

The Omnitrix glowed yellow faintly in the dark. A cruel promise.

Power with no key.

Riven mutter softly "...Why me?"

He didn't know if he was dead, dreaming, or part of something bigger. But one thing was clear:

This world was dangerous.

How did he know because the Omnitrix wanted alien DNA.

If this is a real a deal then it will be a dangerous world.

And Riven was going to find it — or die trying.

"What a damn luck I got Omnitrix but have no alien DNA." He said

Growwllll~~~

" Shit I am hungry and I couldn't find any food on the way, it was just trees with no fruits." He mutter to himself.

End of chapter 1.

Hope you enjoyed it.
