Currently, Arthur was sitting across from Ajax in the silver tower, the war saint was sprawled out on a plush couch. While Arthur was sitting across from him in an equally as plush chair. The war saint had some kind of energy emenating from him that made Arthur pretty much unable to lie. He looked towards Arthur, although his helmet was covering his expression. It was easy to tell the man was smiling under it.
"So, you entered this realm through a fracture, did you? I only left one fracture open. So I assume you killed him, did you?"
Ajax chuckled softly as Arthur took the sword of the broken oath from his inventory.
"Ah, you really did kill him…he was a dear friend. But I don't hold it against you. He's long gone insane."
Arthur looked at the war saint and left the sword of the broken oath on the table in front of them.
"Uh…I really have no use of the sword. So…if you want a memento or something…"
Before Arthur could finish his sentence the war saint suddenly erupted into laughter.
"No use? That sword is incredibly powerful. It may be dormant for now, but once it acknowledges you, it will be a very powerful ally. Besides, it's been corrupted by abyssal energy. I'd rather not hold it."
Arthur sighed before putting the sword of the broken oath back into his inventory.
"Besides that. How in the world did you survive a fall like that, kid? I can tell you're not exactly a weakling persay. But your body is pretty frail. I'd assume someone like you would just get squashed."
Arthur was compelled to lie about the shadow colossus. But the odd energy surrounding the room made him spit it out the truth.
"Some kind of shadow colossus caught me and put me on the ground." He blurted it out incredibly loud. Like he couldn't control his own mouth.
"Interesting...I didn't know he was still walking around these days..."
Arthur looked at the war saint nervously, in all honesty, he was incredibly scared. The man in front of him could kill him without even lifting a finger. And he had a feeling his answers would determine whether he lived or died. The war saint sat there thinking for a moment.
"Do you know why that man was up there in the mortal realm? Well, obviously not, so I'll tell you. Long ago, you could say he and I were other halves, brothers in arms, we both served the goddess of light. When the herald of the stars split the mortal realm into two, what we call the primordial sin, the lady of light along with the other gods controlled the mortal realm, while the god of darkness controlled the abyss. One day the goddess of light created a fracture in the realms and charged into the abyss. I went with her. But she left my brother there. At the fracture. I'm assuming he was eventually corrupted by the energies of the abyss, judging by his sword."
"So...what happened to her, then? If you're here?"
"She's dead. Obviously."
'Why is he talking like everything's obvious! It really isn't!'
"The goddess of light was killed by the god of darkness in battle. But not before she separated his soul and his abnormally strong body. I'm not sure why he chose to save you, but the shadow colossus is the god of darknesses soul, taken shape, which is forced to walk the abyss for all of eternity, while the goddess of light's corpse lies next to his."
"Really? She's just dead? Just like that? I didn't think gods were easy to kill."
"They aren't. The god of darkness is simply an anomaly of gods, the gods of light and dark were both dragons, but the god of darkness had the ability to obliterate anything. Do you know who he obliterated, child? Take a good guess."
"...the goddess of light."
"Exactly. Isn't it odd I still remember her? And so did my brother. Yet everyone else does not. And now you know too. The god of darkness erased the concept of light from the abyss, as well as the goddess herself. I'm not quite sure why I still remember, but since the concept still lingers in the mortal realm, it makes sense my brother would."
