On the second floor of a ramen shop in Loguetown, a group of men and women dressed in various styles stared in shock at the sudden collapse of over a dozen men in the booth next to theirs.
At the forefront of the group was a young woman with a striking figure. Her short purple hair was styled in a bob cut with neat bangs, and she wore a red high-top hat equipped with goggles. Behind her burgundy sunglasses, her enchanting eyes shimmered seductively, embodying the charm of a naturally alluring woman.
This was Belo Betty, the Commander of the East Army of the Revolutionary Army and a wielder of the Inspire-Inspire Fruit.
"Betty, what... what just happened here?"
After a brief moment of astonishment, a man sitting beside Belo Betty stood up abruptly and hurried over to the adjacent booth. Seeing the dozen or so men sprawled across chairs or slumped on the floor, their lifeless eyes wide open, he swallowed hard. Turning back to Belo Betty, he stammered, "They... they're all dead!"
"Conqueror's Haki!"
Belo Betty snapped out of her daze, her heart still racing. "A truly formidable individual has arrived in Loguetown. To eliminate these people so precisely without us even noticing... what terrifying strength!"
Her expression suddenly shifted, and she seemed anxious as she urged, "Quick, check who these people are!"
The man wasted no time and approached the nearest individual, who was dressed rather finely but exuded an odd aura. After a careful inspection, the man's brows furrowed. "Strange... Although these people are dressed decently, they all carry a distinct smell of the sea. They must have spent years sailing..."
Before he could finish, his pupils dilated as his gaze fell upon the chests of two men across from him. Noticing the skull tattoos emblazoned there, he immediately turned back to Belo Betty. "They're... pirates!"
Hearing this, Belo Betty's eyes widened in realization. "It's him!"
"Him?"
The others in the group looked at Belo Betty in confusion.
Without keeping them guessing, Belo Betty's expression turned grave as she explained, "The Fleet Admiral of the Marines, Xayuki!"
After speaking, Belo Betty turned her head to look out the window.
At the same time, the street below erupted into chaos as the crowd surged toward the far end of the road.
Seeing this, Belo Betty quickly stood up and leaned out of the window to peer down.
At the far end of the street, the townspeople who had been rushing forward suddenly parted to either side of the road. Moments later, a spirited figure entered Belo Betty's line of sight—it was none other than Fleet Admiral Xayuki of the Marine Headquarters.
Following closely behind him were Gion, Ain, Binz, and other high-ranking Marine officers.
As Xayuki led the group of Marine officers down the street, the townspeople lining the road erupted into cheers, their shouts of "Fleet Admiral!" filling the air with fervor. The scene was overwhelmingly lively.
Far from ignoring the enthusiastic crowd, Xayuki maintained a warm smile, frequently raising his hand to respond to their greetings.
Not only were the townspeople on the street shouting, but the guests, shopkeepers, and waitstaff in the shops and restaurants on either side of the road also crowded the windows, waving and calling out to the Fleet Admiral. When Xayuki glanced up at them, they responded with ecstatic screams, feeling as though they'd been personally acknowledged.
"That's the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, Xayuki!"
A woman with bronze skin and windproof goggles had unknowingly approached Belo Betty's side. Looking down at the figure walking confidently amidst the cheering crowd, she said cautiously, "If those pirates were really taken out by him, then his strength is terrifying. No wonder he dared to stage a coup and force the Holy Land to sign the Marijoa Treaty. What a commanding presence!"
This was Ahiru, Deputy Commander of the East Army of the Revolutionary Army.
During the Marine Headquarters coup, she and Belo Betty had led the East Army in preparing for a potential war at the Holy Land. However, their mission was aborted when the Holy Land signed the Marijoa Treaty with Xayuki, and they were ordered to remain in the East Blue to gather supplies.
"His strength isn't the most terrifying thing," Belo Betty said, her eyes fixed on Xayuki, her expression solemn. "I need to use the power of the Inspire-Inspire Fruit to awaken the courage and strength buried in people's hearts. But he... he can unite the fragmented Marines like never before with nothing but his personal charisma. I sincerely hope he won't become an enemy of the Revolutionary Army."
"Brubru~"
Suddenly, the sound of a Den Den Mushi broke the moment. A hurried voice came through the receiver, "Commander Betty, we have a serious problem. While transporting supplies from Shimotsuki Village, we encountered a Marine warship! Although the Marines didn't board us for inspection, the situation in the East Blue is extremely tense right now. Every Marine base in the East Blue has deployed their warships, hunting down pirates across the seas and islands!"
"Most importantly, unlike before, the Marines are now executing pirates on the spot, even if they surrender!"
"So, to avoid any risks, should we lay low for now? If the Marines fail to catch their pirate targets and discover us transporting supplies, they might attack us..."
Before the person on the other end could finish, Belo Betty decisively ordered, "Suspend all operations! Everyone, go into hiding and await further instructions!"
After ending the call, Belo Betty let out a deep breath and looked again at Xayuki and his entourage, who were nearing the end of the street. Behind them were the members of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, following quietly. Her expression grew more serious than ever.
"Pirate Annihilation Order?"
"I don't think he's targeting just pirates. His true goal is to make every power on the seas bow before him!"
As she spoke, Belo Betty's gaze lingered on Xayuki. Despite his constant smile and friendly demeanor as he greeted the cheering crowd, an inexplicable fear crept into her heart, sending a shiver down her spine.
"What a ruthless and decisive Fleet Admiral. Your ambition... could it be the entire world?"
New World, Totto Land.
On Whole Cake Island, a piercing alarm suddenly blared, startling every member of the Charlotte Family.
As figures darted out of the castle, the ministers of Totto Land, led by Charlotte Katakuri, quickly gathered in the plaza in front of the castle, their gazes fixed warily on the sky.
High above, dark clouds rolled in, accompanied by deafening thunder and lightning that seemed to tear the heavens apart.
From within the roiling clouds, a fearsome dragon's head emerged, glaring down at the inhabitants of Whole Cake Island. The oppressive aura it exuded was suffocating, causing even Katakuri, one of the strongest members of the Charlotte Family, to tighten his grip on his Trident Mogura.
As the members of the Charlotte Family stood on edge, a deep voice rumbled from the clouds.
"Linlin!"
"Will you help me start a new war?"
"The Fleet Admiral of the Marines is currently touring the East Blue. If you join me, we can easily destroy Marineford!"
