Suddenly, the sound of one Den Den Mushi ringing broke the silence, quickly followed by a cascade of urgent calls from the others.
Within moments, the entire surveillance room was filled with the chaotic ringing of the Den Den Mushis, catching the soldiers off guard. They scrambled to their feet, fumbling to answer the calls.
"Report! Report! Emperor Kaido has been sighted in Totto Land!"
"Report! Warships under the Beasts Pirates have begun departing from Wano Country!"
"Report! The Mammoth, a flagship of the Beasts Pirates, has been spotted in the same waters as the Marine warship transporting members of the Donquixote Family. They may be planning an ambush!"
"Report! The Red Hair Pirates have suddenly left their territory, destination unknown!"
"Report! Members of the Charlotte Family are all gathering on Whole Cake Island!"
The continuous stream of reports caused the previously flustered Marine soldiers to quickly regain their composure.
At the forefront, a Marine officer wearing a Colonel's coat stood in stunned silence for a brief moment before his expression turned fervent. "So, it's finally happening?"
"Quick! Notify Admiral Kuzan and establish immediate contact with Admiral Sakazuki!"
With the Colonel's command, the soldiers in the surveillance room transitioned seamlessly into action, efficiently managing the incoming reports and relaying orders.
First Marine Branch Base Office.
Admiral Kuzan had just put down the receiver of his Den Den Mushi when he rose to his feet. Striding quickly out of his office, he issued orders as he walked: "Relay the command to the Kuzan Army—assemble at the port immediately. Target: Totto Land, Whole Cake Island!"
Somewhere in the New World.
Amidst the stormy seas, a massive Marine warship sped toward the Red Line, cutting through the fierce wind and torrential rain.
Inside the warship's cabin, the members of the Donquixote Family sat silently, their expressions tense.
At the cabin door, Admiral Sakazuki, clad in his signature coat, stood with his back to the Donquixote Family. His stern gaze was fixed on the turbulent sea ahead.
"Report!"
Suddenly, a Marine officer braved the storm and rain, rushing to Sakazuki's side with excitement. "Admiral Sakazuki, we've spotted a pirate ship ahead—it's the Mammoth, flagship of the Beasts Pirates!"
Hearing this, flames seemed to ignite in Sakazuki's eyes. He asked in a deep voice, "Is it only the Mammoth?"
"In addition to the Mammoth, there are several accompanying pirate ships!"
The officer's tone grew increasingly fervent. "Admiral Sakazuki, your foresight is truly remarkable! You predicted that the Beasts Pirates would attempt to ambush the warship!"
"This is all thanks to Fleet Admiral Xayuki's strategy!"
Sakazuki silenced the officer's flattery with a sharp look and continued, "It wasn't just my prediction. Fleet Admiral Xayuki not only anticipated that Kaido would send forces to rescue the Donquixote Family, but also deduced that if Kaido acted, he would send one of his Calamities—specifically, the Mammoth under Jack the Drought."
Without waiting for a response, Sakazuki turned abruptly to face the Donquixote Family in the cabin, his killing intent palpable. "If any of you dare step out of this cabin, not only will you meet your end, but your young master will also have no place to rest in death!"
With that, Sakazuki didn't spare them another glance. Tossing his coat dramatically, he stepped into the pouring rain.
At that moment, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket began to ring.
Without hesitation, Sakazuki retrieved it and answered in his deep voice, "This is Sakazuki."
"Admiral Sakazuki, this is Colonel from the First Marine Branch Surveillance Room. We've just received updated intelligence: Kaido has transformed into his Azure Dragon form and crossed the sea to appear at Whole Cake Island. Admiral Kuzan has already led the Kuzan Army to Totto Land!"
Upon hearing this, Sakazuki ended the call without a word. Raising his head, he looked toward the officers of the Akainu Army, who were already in position on the deck. The aura of an Admiral spread across the scene, enveloping the area in an oppressive atmosphere.
"Relay the command—sink the Mammoth. Afterward, we'll rendezvous with the Kuzan Army!"
Meanwhile.
On the stormy seas, a pirate fleet led by a massive warship cut through the waves, rapidly approaching the Marine warship's location.
At the forefront was none other than the flagship of the Beasts Pirates—the Mammoth.
On the bow of the ship stood a towering figure, unmoving amidst the howling wind and rain. His mere presence exuded a suffocating pressure.
This was Jack, one of the three Calamities of the Beasts Pirates. A user of the Elephant-Elephant Fruit, Model: Mammoth, he was a Zoan-type Ancient Beast with a bounty of 1 billion Belly.
"Captain Jack, we've spotted the Marine warship!"
A pirate standing beside Jack lowered his telescope, his voice filled with excitement. "According to our intel, this is the warship transporting the Donquixote Family. However, it's being escorted by three Marine Vice Admirals. Rescuing them might be tricky!"
"Just three Vice Admirals?"
Jack stepped forward to the edge of the ship, his voice cold and commanding. "Do you know who I am? Bring the ship closer!"
"As long as we rescue the Donquixote Family, Joker will find a way to escape from Marine Headquarters."
"Understood!"
The pirate holding the telescope responded loudly and turned to pass on the order.
However, just as he turned, his body froze.
Suddenly, he whipped his head back and raised his telescope once more.
"Damn it!"
Through the lens, the pirate's pupils contracted sharply. "Captain Jack, the Marine warship... it's closing in on us!"
"That... that's... Admiral Sakazuki?! Wasn't he supposed to be stationed in Dressrosa?"
"Damn it! The intel was wrong. Captain Jack, we've been set up!"
The pirate turned to Jack, his voice trembling as he shouted, "The escort isn't three Vice Admirals—it's... it's Admiral Sakazuki!"
As the pirate's panicked voice rang out, the Marine warship rapidly approached at full speed. On its deck, Admiral Sakazuki, with his coat billowing wildly in the storm, strode forward with a lit cigar in his mouth. The oppressive aura surrounding him caused the torrential rain to veer off course.
As the Mammoth came into view, the power of Sakazuki's Magma-Magma Fruit began to manifest.
"A bunch of worthless scum dares to ambush a Marine warship?"
His cold voice echoed as the magma within him surged.
The next second, the stormy skies above roared with thunder as countless fiery meteors ignited within the clouds, spreading rapidly like a blazing inferno.
The Marines standing behind Sakazuki looked up in awe at the fiery spectacle above. Even as his subordinates, they couldn't help but widen their eyes in shock.
"That's..."
"Meteor Volcano!"
"Admiral Sakazuki has been on edge recently... One wrong move, and he unleashes his ultimate attack!"
