Chapter 1 - Gamer no Jutsu: Prologue

[GAME OVER]

[You died]

[Would you like to start a new game?]

Ryugo was surprised. The screen in front of him said that he died. However, he felt no sadness. In fact, one could say he was excited.

'A game?', he pondered, 'What's there to hesitate?'

[You have selected the 'Yes' Option. World selected: Naruto (Non-canon)]

'Naruto huh?', Ryugo thought, 'A cursed world with wars. A cursed world where peace is impossible. A cursed world where...immortality is within reach'

[Timeline: Year 15 (after the establishment of the five major hidden villages)]

'Most people would choose Konohagakure...', Ryugo thought, 'But I don't feel it. There is no telling how gamers like me would react. The plot will be unreliable, with information flooding the villages. I'd rather be in a village without players'

'I'll pick Amegakure'

Note: Amegakure has a deep caste system. Please choose wisely.

Noble Clans of Amegakure

[] The Amakawa Clan (天川一族, Amakawa Ichizoku) is the foremost noble clan of Amegakure and its founding lineage. Their unique Toxin Bloodline Release allows them to safely synthesize and secrete a vast array of poisons, in the form of gas or venom. The Amakawa are descendants of the first Amekage Toyo Amakawa, and the second Amekage Hanzo the Salamander. Their authority is as much a part of Amegakure as the perpetual rain, despite their small numbers.

[] The Shizuku Clan (雫一族, Shizuku Ichizoku) is a noble clan revered as the "Guardians of the Rain". Their members possess an innate sensory ability, the Ame no Jikaku (Rain Net), allowing them to sense disturbances and chakra signatures within any precipitation. This makes them the cornerstone of Amegakure's defense and isolationist policies. They live confined, in the heart of Amegakure, hidden from even the most basic civilian to avoid any assassination.

[] The Takeda Clan (陰折一族, Kageori Ichizoku) is one of the founding noble clans of Amegakure, known as the "Warriors of the Silent Rain". Masters of the sword, they specialize in a severe, pragmatic form of kenjutsu designed for the narrow streets and slick rooftops of the village. Their hidden art is the meditation technique Sora no Kokoro(Mind of the Sky), which cultivates a state of perfect mental clarity and emotional detachment, granting them a profound natural resistance to all forms of genjutsu but turning them into cold-blooded warriors incapable of love or empathy.

[] The Jōtaki Clan (浄滝一族, Jōtaki Ichizoku) are the "Purifiers." A founding noble clan of monks, wielding no offensive shinobi arts. Their sacred duty is the maintenance of Amegakure's water purity. Their hidden art, Kegare no Nagare (Flow of Impurity), allows them to channel their chakra through running water to identify, isolate, and neutralize poisons, diseases, or even lingering malignant chakra—a direct, if respectful, counter to the industrial waste and various poison manufacturing in Amegakure. Aside from their sacred duty, they are also well versed in medical arts, although their vow not to kill make them strange shinobi.

Non-Noble Clains of Amegakure

[] The Kagutsu Clan (骨喰一族, Kagutsu Ichizoku) is a small, infamous clan of bounty hunters operating from Amegakure's underworld, which swore allegiance to the village after tremendous success during the First Shinobi War. The clan is defined by a ruthless, predatory efficiency. Their hidden power is a rare dojutsu, the Raikōgan (Lightning Arc Eye). When activated, the pupil contracts into a thin, jagged line like a bolt of lightning, allowing the user to see the electrical potential within chakra and chakra, including rain droplets. In combat, this makes them immensely dangerous ninjutsu specialists.

[] The Haribako Clan (針箱一族, Haribako Ichizoku) is a large clan of mid-range weapon specialists who have perfected the art of the senbon to an almost supernatural degree. Their hidden art Thousand-Needle Rain, capable of delivering volleys of senbons that can pierce armor gaps, stitch opponents to walls or sever specific tendons from mid range, have earned them a steady reputation. Besides senbon, they also master various shuriken jutsu, kunai throwing techniques and various forms of scythe art.

[] The Shikabane Clan (屍一族, Shikabane Ichizoku) are the "Callers of the rain". Deemed unclean, this clan lives in the flooded catacombs beneath the village. Their hidden art is Necromancy Puppetry. Using specially prepared water from burial grounds, they can infiltrate and reanimate the recently deceased's water-logged tissues, turning corpses into puppets for a short time. In combat, they are never alone, rising with a retinue of drowned, shambling foes to overwhelm enemies both physically and psychologically. With seals, those puppets can be stored much longer, making them very dangerous. They wear straw hats and black robes.

[] The Hakkō Clan (発酵一族, Hakkō Ichizoku) are the "Farters of the rain". This clan views the constant damp not as a burden, but a catalyst. Their hidden art is Ame no Hakko (Rain Fermentation), the accelerated fermentation and alchemical manipulation of organic matter using chakra-infused molds and yeasts. In combat, they carry gourds of "starter cultures" that, when exposed to rain, rapidly expand into choking clouds of spores, excrete corrosive acids, or explode with pressurized toxic gas. Their power is unpredictable, potent, and smells faintly of sweet rot.

[] The Waraiko Clan (笑い子一族, Waraiko Ichizoku) are the "Weepers of the Laughing Rain." This clan's members are born with a paradoxical kekkei genkai: their tears, when mixed with their chakra, produce a colorless gas that induces euphoric laughter in anyone who inhales it. Viewed as distasteful but useful, they serve as non-lethal crowd control, interrogators, and—in their darkest application—makers of smiling, compliant puppets. Their kekkei genkai aside, they are excellent genjutsu specialists. Due to their bloodline release, they always wear smiling and weeping distinguishable masks.

[] The Tsuchigumo Clan (土蜘蛛一族, Tsuchigumo Ichizoku) are the secretive weapon-smiths of Amegakure. Their hidden art is Ame no Tanzō (Rain Forging), a method of quenching and tempering blades and tools in chakra-saturated rain and mist. This process creates weapons of peerless sharpness and durability that are subtly hydrophilic, allowing them to channel Water Release chakra with exceptional efficiency and more importantly, never rust. They designed Amegakure's foundational pillars and labyrinthine drainage systems.

[Civilian Families]

[] ...

"A dojutsu? Naturally, this has to be the best option", Ryugo muttered

He had analysed the different clans. He had never expected such a wide diversity of clans. Their backgrounds made perfect sense. Just like Sunagakure had adapted to their environment and made their lack of resource into strength through puppetry and fan mastery, Amegakure had its own set of weapons.

Reigning over a piece of land between three major hidden villages, it had built a fortress of iron, impregnable with several layers of security, between the Shizuku Clan and its 'Rain net', and its layers of industrial and toxin wastes that would be harmful to all but Ame citizens thanks to the Jotaki clan and their purifying arts.

The Tsuchigomo were blacksmiths that raised their technology to design drainage systems far exceeding any architectural plan of the time. The rest of the clans had developped hidden arts or mutations to adapt to the humid environment.
