Chapter 10 - Main Quest #1

— 45 Minutes Later —

Although his Martial Spirit had no direct effect on the speed at which he cultivated his body, Nylon's Body Tempering Liquid refinement rate had exponentially improved. He could now finish a Lowest-rank Potion in roughly 5 minutes.

WAAA!

Peak Copper Body!

Nylon's hidden layer of skin took on a darker shade of brown, signifying a multifold increase in defensive and offensive power. His muscles also started to show signs of being affected by the potent copper energy, but it would seem any major changes to his muscle mass and density would have to wait until the Bronze Body stage.

"With my current strength, that whip attack from Warden Sith would barely scratch me." There was still lingering pain from that time, but it was more than worth it, for his Body cultivation increased quite a bit from that experience. He even secretly wished he'd get called out to be beaten again.

"Never mind that," Nylon sighed. "I still have a few hours until my next shift in the Mines, so I should determine my cultivation speed with a Peak Rank 2 Martial Spirit and multiple Genuine Spirit Stones."

He let the |Infernal Sword| levitate above his lap. The Lowest-grade Spirit Stones were then taken out of his Inventory, and they too were placed on his lap.

As a Sword Saint, Nylon was not unfamiliar with the act of cultivation. In fact, it was second nature to him, and came as easily as breathing.

As soon as particles of Atmospheric Spiritual Energy swarmed toward him, Nylon's brows arched in contentment. "This world may not be my New Dawn, but it functions in pretty much the same fashion. Spiritual Energy and its subsequent absorption is almost an exact copy of New Dawn."

It should really be the other way around, but one shouldn't sweat the small stuff on the Path of Immortality.

FWOOOSH!

Nylon actively absorbed the atmospheric spiritual energy, but after some time adjusting to it, he switched to the Lowest-grade Spirit Stones. They were brimming with spiritual energy, and as soon as Nylon willed the energy out of the stone and toward himself, it was like the awakening of a tsunami.

Collection Plane – Achieved!

Enhancement Plane – Achieved!

Venation Plane – Achieved!

What would normally take a Rank 2 Martial Spirit holder months if not years to achieve was attained in a single afternoon. The power of Genuine-quality Lowest-grade Spirit Stones was simply too overpowered.

Fwishh…

The last drop of energy in the final Lowest-grade Spirit Stone was sucked out and absorbed by Nylon. He showed a mildly disappointed expression, a wave of hunger overcoming his psyche.

It was not hunger for food, but for power.

A hunger that would remain unsatiated for now…

BLING!

{[Infinite Multiplier System]} – [Lvl 1]

[Host: Nylon]

[Lifespan: 18/65]

[Cultivation: Awakening (Venation Plane)]

[Body Cultivation: Copper Body (Peak)]

[Martial Spirit: Infernal Sword (Rank 2)]

[Inventory: Basic Body Refinement Manual (7), Infernal Sword Martial Spirit (1), XXXL Condom (1), etc…]

Looking at his System, Nylon realized that he could already be considered quite the Expert if limited to the North Sea Mines. Even if the parameters were expanded to the entirety of the territory owned by the North Sea Family, he wasn't any worse than ordinary, which was fine for him.

Did that mean he would be forever content with this? Of course not.

With the Infinite Multiplier System to his back, he'd ascend the real world just as he had in the simulated New Dawn. No…

…He'd go even further.

— Half a Month Later —

Nylon had once again amassed a number of Reward Wheel spins. However, right now, what he was more interested in was the system screen bobbing up and down before him.

{[Main Quest #1]}

[Objective: Show your worth to the North Sea Family] – [Difficulty: E+]

[Reward: 30 Reward Wheel Spins, 25 System EXP]

The first reward was obvious, but as for the System EXP:

"How much is 25 System EXP?" asked Nylon.

[You require 100 System Experience Points to upgrade the System to the next level!]

"I see…"

As for how exactly he'd go about 'showing his worth to the North Sea Family,' a bit more strength was definitely required. After all, he may seem powerful right now—with his cultivation not far away from the Adamance Plane—but on a larger playing field, that was nothing much at his age.

From the gossip of fellow slaves, true geniuses in the area would be at or around the 7th Plane, Mystery, by the time they turned 18. In comparison, this made Nylon quite mediocre.

"The North Sea Family will definitely have geniuses like that. They might not even spare a glance at me as I am now." Nylon wasn't dismayed, simply realistic.

On a side note, there was something weird going on with Warden Sith. It was odd enough for him to so enthusiastically give Nylon his own personal residency, but now he was even reducing the number of hours he had to work in the Mines.

It was suspicious, to say the least.
