CHLOE'S POV
"Now, I paired y'all like this cos your partner wants to be a future model and you, a fashion designer, so it's perfect", Miss Donna explained further.
" Yes, miss", the class responded.
" Now, you are to showcase your projects at the Lakewood Annual Founders Day Ball. Meaning that, your project is your outfit. I expect y'all to come up with something nice, ok? Class dismissed"

Keith and I were walking towards his car, he wouldn't stop rambling on how were partners.
"I was surprised at first but I think it's nice that I wasn't paired with those jocks", I finally spoke up.
"Right! So what are we gonna do? I mean, for the project?", he asked.
"I was thinking---", I was cut off by someone I wasn't expecting to see.
" Well, well, well! If it isn't Chloe Forrest or should I say Nolan's ex girlfriend. I'm quite surprised you had the balls to still show up at school today", she said with a mocking tone.
"Hailey, what do you want?", I hissed.
"I just wanted to tell you about how Nolan fucked me and how I was screaming in ecstasy. It didn't happen once you know, we hooked up tons of times", she spoke without an atom of shame or remorse.
"I don't care anymore. You can have Nolan for all I care", I spat on her face. Then I turned to Keith
"Let's go"
"Wait, hold on. Are you hooking up with Keith, the captain of the basketball team? Wow, I didn't know you were such a desperate slut", she laughed and that set me off.
"Listen Hailey, I don't care what you think of me but I, I know I'm not a slut that takes drugs and have plastic surgeries just to look pretty like you. You're so insecure that you pick on me for being prettier than you", I said and got into Keith's car. Luckily, he had unlocked it when we were a few feet away.
I couldn't believe Hailey would do such a thing to me.
"Keith, I don't know how she seduced you but I can do better"
"Would you stop? She didn't seduce me and I would never ever bang a girl like you, ok? Just fuck off! And stay away from Chloe!!", Keith yelled at Hailey before getting in the car.
"Are you okay?", he asked me, his eyes filled with concerned.
"Yeah"
"You don't have to lie to me"
"I'm just heartbroken that someone I used to call my best friend could do this to me"
"Don't be too hard on yourself, okay? It's not your fault for trusting her"
"You're right", I hugged him but I wasn't too comfortable since we were in a car.
Surprisingly, Keith hugged me back and kissed my cheek.
"Should I take you home or we should hang out at a cafe?"
" I'd love to go home, please", I broke the hug.

Keith had just dropped me off and he left. I fumbled with my keys before unlocking the door. Jess wasn't still back yet. I guess she's having fun with Matt. Lucky her.
I made my way upstairs and into my room, flopping on the bed. I closed my eyes and sighed.
My phone rang and Nolan was the one calling.
"Hello?", I spoke into the server.
"Hey, I just wanted to know if you got home safely"
"I did, thanks for asking"
"Uhmm, I wanted to ask if you'd like to go out with me tonight?"
"We broke up, remember? And besides, I have a project to start working on"
"I know we broke up but I want you back. I missed you"
"It's not like I don't miss you too, I mean, we spent almost 2 years together"
"Please, give me another chance --- Nolan baby, who are you talking to? Don't tell me it's her?", Nolan was cut off by a feminine voice and I know that voice anywhere.
I took a deep breath before asking
" Nolan, are you with Hailey?"
" I can explain ---"
" Save it",I ended the call.
How could he want me back and still be banging Hailey?
Is he even serious?

" So what should we do?", I asked Keith as we munched on chocolate chips.
I had invited him over earlier to work on the project and we were currently in my room. We had already carried my sewing machine from the basement to my room.
"I was thinking a three piece Armani class suit"
" That sounds nice. Any color ideas?"
" So, black is common, how about we do a mixture of black and vermilion? I mean, to make it more unique. We could also add rhinestones to make it stand out"
" Dude, you are so smart", I hugged him and pulled back quickly.
"So we start with sketches", I told him before bringing out my sketchpad.
"C'mon, let's just do something else for today", he said taking away my pencil and sketchpad, tossing them on my bedside table.
" Like what?"
" Play games"
" Ok fine", I couldn't even argue cos I knew it would be of no use.
" We could play 'Never have I ever'?"
"Yeah, you go first"
"Never have I ever.....been on a plane before"
"Are you serious?"
" Yeah"
" I mean, I haven't but I thought you would've cos I always assumed you were rich"
" Well I am rich but I'm scared of planes"
" You're so funny. Ok, my turn. Never have I ever been to the beach"
" Why?"
" I'm scared of water and I can't swim"
" You're so funny", he said using a mock tone.
And so we continued to play and I found myself getting drawn to Keith. He actually makes me feel safe and special.
" So when are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?", I asked out of the blue.
He froze for a moment and I sensed hesitation in his voice.
" Soon", was all he said.
" O-k, will you stay for dinner? It's just me and I could use a little bit of help and company?", I pouted.
" I will", he smiled at me and I found myself leaning towards him. He was actually doing same.
I could feel his hot breath on my face so I got up and cleared my throat, flushed and embarrassed by what just happened.
"What's for dinner?", he asked after a moment of silence.
"I was thinking spaghetti and meatballs"
"Lemme guess, it's what you've been eating for the past week"
"Yup"
"I'll do the cooking"
"You cook?"
" Of course I do"
"Then we'll have to go shopping cos I don't have enough ingredients for any other meal. Just gimme a sec, I wanna grab my sister's credit card ", I went to Jess' room and took her credit card.
She always leaves it in case of an emergency.
I ran back to my room and picked up my phone and purse.
"Let's go", I said trying to put on my flats.
"Ok", Keith got up was walking towards the door, when I stumbled and as if just on cue, he caught me by my waist.
I was staring deeply into his eyes and he did same.
