Chapter 1 - Chapter 1– The beginning of everything

In most stories, it all started with a heroine. This heroine is loved by everyone, has a beautiful face and a blessed soul. This heroine is the example of a life that everyone wants to have but couldn't.

But how about we focus on someone who is clearly the polar opposite? Let me introduce Ueda Shiho. Shiho is a highschool student who lived alone but can barely take care of herself! Not only that, she's a total loner, blends in the background easily and also forgettable! A total nobody, am I right?

Well, what if we make her life a little interesting by adding a minor detail that would change the entire piece? That sounds fun now, isn't it?

No, we won't need the truck to get involved here to get her isekaid or have someone to poison her to get reincarnated as a different person! In fact, this story doesn't even need a reincarnation! If you don't like that idea then it's just tough luck, my friend. This story isn't made for you.

Now, let's observe Shiho's boring life! Let's see...

Shiho lives alone on a shabby small apartment. Given the state of her room, it's safe to say she doesn't have time to tidy up or she's just lazy. Anyways, Shiho woke up at 7:50 am but her class starts at 8:00 am so she rushes as always but barely makes it on time. Due to her rushing, she barely has time to brush her hair so it looks like a mess. She also got scolded by their teacher and by the time she got in class, we can see her swaying around as she tried not to sleep.

Behind her back, her classmates secretly laugh at her for being a loser nobody and by the time their first classes ended, somebody tripped her which makes everyone laugh out loud. This is just embarrassing to watch.

But the bullying didn't end because as she got into the cafeteria, somebody bumped at her again which makes her drop all of her foods.

Her classmates drew and write mean stuffs on her desk, she got dumped by a bucket full of water, got her stuffs stolen and broken, a group of girls kicked, punched, and made fun of her... Damn, she's full of misfortune, isn't she?

After school, she needs to work on a cafe and let's just say that sometimes customers can be mean and punchable on the face. But a simple accident can get Shiho on

trouble and scolded and this happens a lot.

Before going home, she goes to the convenience store to buy something cheap and easy to cook for dinner. We already know what it is. Yes, a ramen. What else?

Her life is so boring and not interesting at all. I think it's time to add a little something on this story.

****

When Shiho unlocked the door, she was surprised by the sight before her. Besides from the usual messy room, there was a little girl sitting across the room. She have tears streaked down on her face for she was crying and scared at the unfamiliar place.

"Uhh..."

The young Shiho couldn't bring herself to speak. How did the kid get in here even though her door was locked?

The kid then cried again. Louder this time which led Shiho to panic,

"H–hey kid! I'm... I'm not...! Who..! How did you–!" The kid again cried louder, not listening to the poor girl trying to calm the situation down.

****

"So... You just randomly got here...? Out of nowhere...?" Shiho asked to the little girl who finally calmed down. The kid nodded leaving Shiho stressed and thinking where did the girl came from and how did she get there?

Shiho was thinking to go to the police to let them handle about the kid but with no further information about the kid's family, she's sure that it would take time or worse, the girl will end up all alone again.

She was lost in thought when she heard the kid's stomach rumbling from hunger. Out of pity, she cooked the ramen that was meant to be her dinner and gave it to the kid who happily ate it.

"Umm... Uh... Hey, kid... What's your name though...?" She then asked out of nowhere. She needs to know who's this unexpected visitor.

"Ufweda... Shifo..." The kid answered while her mouth is full. Making her words almost impossible to understand.

"...Pardon?"

This time, the kid swallowed the food before speaking clearly,

"Ueda Shiho!"

Ueda... Shiho!? But that's exactly her name! No, wait! Maybe it's just a coincidence, right?

"...do you... Remember where you live..? Your address..?" The girl shook her head.

"What about your parents...? Do you know their names..?"

The little girl shook her head again while continuing to eat. Shiho sighed by how little the informations she was getting. She can't just adopt a random kid, let alone let her stay at his house for too long. She can't even take care of herself so what if there's two people? Especially that this kid looks like she's barely six years old.

"... Won't your parents be worried about your disappearance...?" She again asked.

The kid was silent for a moment before she looked down, refusing eye contact.

"...they won't... Mama and papa are busy fighting..."

"..." Shiho was silent after that. She didn't know the girl has problems too.

"I see..." She glanced at her family picture that's sitting on the table with a broken frame. She took once have parents like the kid's. She completely understand what she felt.

While staring at the picture, she then noticed something. The kid... Looked so much like her back then. She looked back and forth between the picture and the the kid sitting in front of her. No way... She really does look like her...

"Are you okay, miss?" The kid asked as she saw how Shiho was looking weirdly at he picture then her.

"Ah– yeah...! Uhh... It's nothing..!" Shiho awkwardly replied but the curiosity of the little girl won. She looked at the picture and her eyes widen.

"That's mama and papa..!"

Now that the kid confirmed that Shiho's parents were also here parents makes things more complicated than before. Just who the hell is this kid..?!
