Clang!...Clang!...Clang!...
A young six year old boy that looked somewhat tall for his age with brown hair and red eyes could be seen working hard hammering at a fairly large piece of metal.
The surrounding blacksmiths couldn't help but be in awe at this sight.. rarely have they seen a chunk of metal this size so clear of impurities as this... adding to the fact that it was being done by a mere 6 year old boy truly it was a sight to marvel.
"Phew!... Well I guess that was a good try for today." Said the red eyed boy as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
This boy's name is Feng Jingsheng a special child born in Kratos Town. At the young age of 3 he had awakened a Wisdom Spiritual Stove that had given him many benefits. Thanks to these benefits he now possessed an External Spiritual Energy of over 350.
Must know that External Spiritual Energy refers to the "strength of ones physical body" and "physical conditioning". Since it's the body's energy, it has limits. The limit of external spiritual energy is 200. Normally one cannot increase their External Spiritual Energy beyond 200 unless they first train their Internal Spiritual Energy. Now despite the fact that Jingsheng still hasn't awakened his Internal Spiritual Energy, he was able to make his External Spiritual Energy exceed 200 mainly thanks to the awakening of his Wisdom Spiritual Stove.
After a moment the chief blacksmith suddenly approached Jingsheng with a smile and said: "Little Jingsheng with such strength at such a young age why don't you try applying to be a student at Ares Hall?... All of us here will definitely support for you!"
In Kratos Town there are two halls affiliated with the six Temple Alliance which represents humanity's greatest protection against the demons that terrorize the continent... These two halls are respectively Ares Hall which teaches and trains young children on how to be Warriors and Athens Hall which teaches children about Magical Beasts so that they could one day become capable Summoners.
Hearing the chief blacksmith's words Jingsheng simply gave a forced smile and shook his head saying: "Sorry boss... I appreciate your good intentions but... don't you think it's a bit too early for me to join a school like that."
"AH... that's right I forgot that you're not even 7 years old yet haha." Replied the large blacksmith scratching his head with an embarrassed smile.
The red eyed boy then took a quick peek out the window and saw that it was already mid afternoon.
"Uh oh... I better head home now or Aunt Nian will scold me for missing lunch." Said Jingsheng as he quickly began packing his things into his backpack.
After receiving his pay he immediately rushed towards the front door of the smithy waving goodbye to the group of blacksmiths saying: "Goodbye boss!.. Goodbye guys... see you again in a few days."
"Take care and walk safely on your way home little Jingsheng." Replied the chief blacksmith as he also waved goodbye to the young boy.
This boy named Feng Jingsheng is actually a reincarnated person brought to this world by a Goddess of Fate. As for this world itself it's actually an alternate version of a world from one of the stories that Jingsheng had read from his previous life... the world of Sealed Divine Throne/Throne of Seal.
From Jingsheng's understanding the central setting of this world is the continent he was currently residing in known as the Holy Demon Continent. In this continent battles between the brave heroes of the Temple Alliance and the merciless demons of the 72 Demon Pillars would constantly rage.
As he was walking home Jingsheng began to think: "If I remember correctly the story of Sealed Divine Throne started when the protagonist Long Haochen was already around 8 to 9 years old... I had visited Odin Town with Aunt Nian several times already and found out that the Long Haochen of this world is three years younger then me so he should be only 3 years old right now."
Shiing!
Suddenly... a faint white light flashed and a palm sized beautiful young lady with pink hair quickly rushed out of his chest.
"Looks like you've made quite a bit of progress today." Said the beautiful palm sized little lady with a gentle smile on her face.
This little lady is none other than Jingsheng's Wisdom Spiritual Stove granted to him by the Goddess of Fate. She has introduced herself under the name Fay.
Startled by Fay's sudden appearance the red eyed boy immediately said: "What are you doing Fay?!... We're out in the open!"
Fay: "Don't worry I can sense that there's no one nearby right now. Anyway there's something we have to talk about."
Jingsheng thought for a moment then said: "Is it about... my 'Mission of Fate'?"
With a nod Fay waved her hand and from it smoke like white light emerged and floated in front of Jingsheng forming into words.
- [Mission of Fate: Successfully Forge the Tang Sect's Godly Zhuge Crossbow before the age of 9.]
Seeing the words formed from white light in front of him, the red eyed boy simply said: "I don't see any difference from before... It's pretty much the sa... huh?!"
But before he could finish what he was about to say... the white light began to form new words underneath the first set.
- [Mission of Fate: Awaken with an Innate Inner Spiritual Energy above 70.]
"What the... why is there a second Mission of Fate?" Asked Jingsheng in a somewhat surprised tone.
Fay nodded and said: "As I've told you before completing a Mission of Fate triggers my ability known as The Reward of Fate which bestows you a boon from time and space. The fact that two missions had appeared this time means that two rewards of fate had been destined for you."
Hearing Fay's words Jingsheng couldn't help but think for a moment then said: "An Innate Inner Spiritual Energy above 70 it says.... if I remember correctly I'll need an Awakening Stone for that."
Remembering something from the original Sealed Divine Throne story, the red eyed boy said: "Err... To get one of those things don't I have to pass something like a Standard Knight's test in a place like Hao Yue hall?"
Fay: "May I suggest a quicker way?"
"Which is?" Asked Jingsheng as he turned towards Fay.
Fay: "How about asking your Mother?"
Hearing Fay's suggestion, the side of Jingsheng's mouth couldn't help but twitch.
In fact Jingsheng couldn't really consider himself to be very close with his Mother of his current life. Her name is Hong Meili and from what Jingsheng knows of her she seems to be a fairly high ranking knight of the Alliance's Knight Temple... In fact he once even overheard his guardian Gu Nian refer to his Mother as the Knight Temple's Flame Phoenix Valkyria. Sadly though Meili would only come to visit him once every one to two months. What's more she was somewhat indifferent towards him. From his understanding she seems to have her own circumstances.
Fay: "Are you hesitant?"
Jingsheng tilted his head and replied: "Well.... I'm not even sure when I'll get to see her again."
Fay: "Actually.... I felt her aura a few moments ago which is why I made the suggestion."
"Of course you did." Thought Jingsheng as he then sighed and said: "Alright... let's... try asking her."
....
Upon returning to the orphanage where he lived, Jingsheng immediately greeted a bespectacled middle aged woman with short black hair.
Jingsheng: "Hey Aunt Nian I'm back!"
Seeing the red eyed boy, Gu Nian immediately showed a bright smile and said: "Ah... Jingsheng welcome back... I thought for sure you wouldn't make it in time for lunch."
This woman is none other than Jingsheng's guardian in his current life. In fact Jingsheng feels that Gu Nian had been more of a mother to him than Hong Meili ever had.
Gu Nian then tilted her head and said: "Which reminds me... your Mother arrived earlier. She's in the dining room right now."
Jingsheng sighed hearing this as he replied: "Let me guess... she's drinking?"
Gu Nian(cold sweat): "Well... you know how she can be."
Jingsheng sighed once again scratching head: "Right... I'll go see her then."
After greeting several of the orphanage's children, the red eyed boy quickly entered the dining room... it was here that he saw her... his mother.
The woman in question had long red hair and red eyes similar to Jingsheng's... despite her young and beautiful appearance, there was some sort of invisible fierce aura around her that seemed to make you want to get out of her way.
She was wearing an old looking grey cloak with a hood and in her hands was a large bottle of wine which she was chugging down like there was no tomorrow.
Seeing the sight of his mother who was an honored knight chugging down a large bottle of alcohol, the side of Jingsheng's mouth couldn't help but twitch as he thought: "Sacrifice, Modesty, Love, Honesty, Dedication, Honor, Bravery, Fairness, Justice, Pity... The ten standards of a knight... Just which part of my Mother symbolize these?"
Putting down the wine bottle, Hong Meili said in a somewhat irritated tone: "If you wanna say something brat then just say it."
Tilting his head Jingsheng simply replied: "Err... Won't drinking so much affect your prowess as a knight?"
"Heh!... This little bit of alcohol won't affect me in the least." Said the female knight with a slight smirk on her face.
She then turned to her son and asked: "So what do you need brat?... You don't normally come to see me like this without a reason."
Scratching his head a bit embarrassed Jingsheng asked: "Here's the thing Mom... uh... any chance you could give me an Awakening Stone?"
Upon hearing her son's words, Hong Meili's nonchalant expression instantly turned into a serious one.
whoosh..
In an instant, she turned into blur and appeared beside Jingsheng.
Seeing his Mother's actions, Jingsheng couldn't help but be startled as he unconsciously took a step back thinking: "Woah!... Was that just her speed?"
"Hold still!" Said Meili as she held her son's shoulders.
As Meili injected a sliver of her Spiritual Energy into her son, Jingsheng simply felt that something akin to a warm current was slowly flowing through his body.
Unbeknownst to him though as he felt comfort from his Mother's Spiritual Energy, Meili on the other hand was already quite shocked.
"His External Spiritual Energy had actually already exceeded the normal limit how can this be?!" Thought the female knight as she continued to inspect her son's body.
One thing to note was that no matter how well she was inspecting her son's body, she could not perceive nor sense Jingsheng's Wisdom Spiritual Stove.
Meili had long been aware of her son's above average strength as well as his part-time job as a blacksmith, however she couldn't have imagined that the power of her son's physical body was already on par with a 3rd Step Knight's.
Releasing her son's shoulder, the female knight quickly grabbed Jingsheng's arm and dragged him towards the Orphanage's backyard.
"Eh?!... Mom where are you taking me so suddenly?!" Exclaimed the red eyed boy as he was being dragged away.
"Backyard... I want you to show me something." Replied the female knight in a serious tone.
Upon arriving at the backyard, Hong Meili suddenly tapped the red ring on her finger and from it a platinum pole like device immediately magically emerged.
"Is that the so called storage ring?... It's the first time I've seen one in person." Thought Jingsheng as he stared at the red ring on his Mother's finger.
Without warning Meili then threw a short blunt sword towards her son and said: "Use this and hit the pole with everything you've got."
After picking up the sword, Jingsheng stared at the platinum pole like device and thought: "If I'm not wrong then this device should be meant to test my External Spiritual Energy."
He then turned to his Mother and asked: "So uh Mom... If I do this, will you give me an Awakening Stone?"
Hearing this Hong Meili simply smirked saying: "We'll see... just do it."
Scratching his head Jingsheng turned back towards the platinum pole like device and quickly took a stance with the short blunt sword in his hand.
"Interesting..." Thought the female knight as she stared at her son's serious expression and stance. It was definitely not the expression one would find on an ordinary six year old little boy.
"With everything I've got huh?" Thought the red eyed boy as his eyes turned sharp staring at the platinum pole.
It was here that Jingsheng began to use his imagination... He imagined that the platinum pole was one of the dangerous beasts he had hunted during his previous life.
By this point Meili's eyes grew wide with shock once more... she sensed something from her 6 year old son that she never thought she would so early in his life.
"Killing Intent..." Thought the female knight as she began to believe that there might be parts of her child that she had yet not known about.
whoosh!....
Without warning Jingsheng unleashed a decisive swing towards the platinum pole like device... what was uncanny though was the fact that he did this with a calm, serious and relaxed expression as if this was something he had done thousands of times.
BAM!
The moment the short blunt sword made contact with the platinum pole like device, a bright yellow light suddenly rose from below it that then quickly reached the device's tip and finally forming a shining circular light.
At the center of the circular light were the numbers.... 356.
"Heh..." By this point Hong Meili showed a wide smile as she thought: "...Can't help but admit it... quite the unbelievable little brat I have here."
