"Humans are too fragile—emotionally and physically both," Velmira said, seated on the other side of the sofa with her legs folded and her hand resting over her chest. She was wearing the dress that Agatha had brought for her and was looking at Lecan, who was seated with Agatha's head resting on his lap, unconscious.
"It's important for their journey," Lecan said, looking down at Agatha, who clearly seemed flustered. He could even sense that she might have mistaken Velmira for someone in a relationship with him, which he did not think to explain.
'This...' Looking towards Agatha, he felt something odd.
Something odd in the sense that he suddenly felt repulsed by her. From the moment she arrived and met him, her energy field was making him feel repulsed.
Of course, it was a far shorter or even negligible force compared to the connection he had with Agatha, but this was enough to make him suspicious as he inquired, 'System, is something wrong with her?'

[ERROR!]
ALERT!
[Target is protected under Heaven's Will]
[Seeing any further into the target might trigger Heaven's rage on the Host]
'!'
'What?', Lecan was clearly surprised, not because of hearing the system's modification—given he was already aware of what this heaven was and all these terms—but more shocked by the fact that it was showing none other than Agatha, who was closest to him in a sense.
This caused him to blink for a moment before, without caring about the dangers he knew would manifest in the form of some consequences if he tried to pry more into it, he still asked, 'Tell me about things heaven is influencing in her?'
[Heaven chose Agatha Ronwen as the mother of the destined prophecy child]
'!'
[Destiny changes initiated]
Lecan didn't seem to panic but was just surprised as he kept looking at the screen and then at Agatha, realizing how, one way or another, his first encounter with the knowledge he got from memories he had was giving him clarity about the misfortune about to happen with none other than the woman closest to him.
Of course, he didn't love her.
But having to let someone who was close to him walk the set path of destiny just made him uncomfortable.
Simply because, through the memories he had gotten, he came to know about how even with free will, destiny corners one into situations where, despite their will, they might not achieve anything beyond Heaven.
Like how he might train and even surpass his destiny to some point by becoming stronger, but he cannot decide to be born with this body; he has no control over how he lives with a broken blood core, etc.
So, destiny was real and something he hated even more after realizing through the memory that it was the one responsible for making his life like this—giving him a broken body.
[Main Plot: Making the vessel of Agatha Ronwen suitable for the birth of the Son of Heaven by burning her will to live.]
[Sub-Plot Triggered: Cancer disease initiation to kill her after the birth of the child to prevent the child from growing up under a poor and resource-less mother.]
[Sub-Plot About to Trigger: Meeting with the rich destined father of the child through which he will receive wealth to grow with resources]
'Cancer? What a merciful way to kill...' Lecan didn't feel surprised, nor was he especially shocked by this divine game where one could clearly see that Agatha's life had been a struggle, suffering as she told him about her parents' losses and all at a very early phase of her life.
Her aunts' treatment towards her and just everything.
And with more clarity about life, right now, he could see that even before her birth, she was being prepared to walk the path of a vessel all along who would give birth to destiny's child.
'Hm.... Should I remove the cancer—?' Lecan thought calmly for a moment, even thinking to use fate points he had to heal her but halted as he considered another possibility.
What if he used cancer as a pretext in the future to get rid of the child in her womb?
Treating it like some medical complication or perhaps even giving it a romantic angle like he did for her.
'....' These subtle thoughts stopped him from helping her as he looked down and placed his hand on her hair, ruffling it.
Yes, he wanted her to bear the destined child—it was free fate points which he could not just slip through his hand this easily.
But not in the way Heaven had decided.
If Agatha was to become the mother of the upcoming child who would have immense fate, then it was better to come through his channel.
As before being chubby, having hardly any will to engage in romantic things, he had focused on rallying revenge, but now.... looking at her.
He felt, all along instead of his family's elders or people within it, the major enemy he needed to kill was none other than Heaven itself.
So now he had better clarity on whom to target.
He needed immense fate value on him to go against Heaven, and to collect that much fate value, he needed to steal it from Heaven itself.
Additionally, he was seeing something higher—not just this world but something above from where this villain's memories had come to him.
There were more worlds than the one he was in....
'Will the child come if I am the father?' Lecan confirmed, given he could at least guess that the vessel was Agatha; it didn't matter who the father was as he just needed to be rich enough to afford things.
[Yes, the child is not karmically related to the target but in soul form is preparing for her energy to be at her weakest + emotionally charged with devotion + loving someone deeply.]
'That just tells me about that shit.' First Confirmation from the system that the soul of that child was preparing for these conditions, it removed all the guilt he might have felt against that unborn child, as the soul itself didn't care about the vessel or the mother it was going to be born through.
And secondly, hearing the last line about Agatha needing to fall deeply in love made Lecan realize that the man she was about to marry was definitely kind.
How did he guess this from just that?
Simply because he knew that Agatha, living with her aunt, had developed emotional sensitivity, making her capable of intuitively sensing others' feelings deeply, which meant she would not fall in love with just any random man.
"What are you thinking about?" Velmira called out, noticing that Lecan kept his eyes down on the human woman sleeping peacefully while he wore a smile and had a deep thinking expression while ruffling her hair.
"Nothing, just something," Lecan said as he understood what this whole story was leading to.
> Agatha will marry, since she is about to die, try to open her heart for once and go all out to get love. Her husband might reciprocate her feelings and love her back, and once she dies after giving birth, that man taking the child as her last memory will shower him with everything he could...
Just as Heaven plans.
"Something?" Velmira narrowed her gaze, confused about how, if she were brought into that situation where she turned into a wolf without any other guards to help, she noticed he was much calmer and uncaring about her presence.
It was the first time she felt someone so detached from her that not even his energy seemed to care about her.
'He is strange...' Looking at him, Velmira was just thinking before her eyes blinked, and she realized something too suspicious, causing her lips to part and say,
"By the way, how do you know about my name, though?"
