Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE

We were surrounded by the smells of flowers and soft, blinking lights above us. The music flowed like water, touching my soul. Everything else faded away, leaving us in that magical moment. The air was thick with mixed human scents and the soft, sweet trace of Bob's presence.

I could barely stop laughing as he took my hand and pulled me to the dance floor. This music called for desire; our bodies swayed with it. "You really dance well," I said as he started leading, his moves smooth, almost like a hunter.

"Thanks, I'm just a bit experienced," Bob replied. His eyes smiled, and his lips twisted. His warmth beside me made my desire for him stronger, a warm current that spread through my body. "I always love dancing with you..." I mumbled, my human self melting. Bob's eyes held mine firmly as he pulled me closer. "I cherish being with you," he whispered into my ear. His warm breath sent shivers down my spine, a comforting heat.

His fingers traced the lower part of my back as we kept dancing. Shocks went through my whole being, making my body lean on him for more. "I want to get even closer to you," I whispered, breathing with desire, my wolf stirring, wanting his touch. Bob's gaze became more serious, and he pulled me tighter, our bodies becoming one, a natural fit, as if we were made for each other.

I felt Bob's warmth, and with it, desire grew deep. I moved closer, my body moving with the rhythm. "You're getting very close," I whispered, almost silently, the music swallowing my words. Bob's eyes looked into mine, and his lips almost touched mine as he smiled. "I want to be closer," he whispered—that was the moment my spine shook, a basic response to him being so near.

He made me feel every sensation as we danced. I could feel it all—his hand on my skin, the way his body moved with mine. I felt a deep connection with him, beyond words. I guess the words just came out, something like, "I feel like I'm melting into you." His eyes glowed with desire as he held me tighter. "Here, too." He said, staring at my body, his gaze hot.

It was the first time I felt this deep feeling, my body moving with the music. But I couldn't ignore the flash of a figure now and then, half in the shadows. It was as if those mesmerizing, unblinking eyes, without color, were digging right into mine, sending shivers down my spine. This was a different kind of shiver than from Bob's touch. When I finally looked away and focused on Bob, my mind kept going back to the stranger, wondering what he wanted. His strong, challenging smell was faint, but it stayed on the edges of my thoughts, a ghost-like presence.

Somehow, in the corner of my eye, I saw him over Bob's shoulder. Our eyes met for a short moment. The serious look in his eyes sent sparks along my spine, sparks of warning, of challenge. I turned away, trying to focus on Bob, but my mind kept thinking about the stranger. Who was he? Why was he watching me? I felt fear touch my spine. My heart beat with the longing I felt. Bob's touch was warm and calming, but the other man's presence felt cold—cold as the winter wind, a rival wolf in the shadows.

And while the music played around us, I was caught between the warmth of Bob's gentleness and the cold mystery the stranger offered. I almost knew I had to find out what the other man wanted. I looked at him again, and our eyes met once more. This time, I saw something in his eyes that really made my heart skip a beat. A hint of desire; a tiny bit of attraction. But maybe I was seeing too much. My wolf was recognizing a powerful pull, a basic curiosity.

Bob's touch was like a flame breathing on dry wood, making my deepest desires clear. He turned a little closer to me and put his hand on my waist. This felt wonderful. I gently swayed my body into his and felt how Bob's eyes were fixed on mine. I could see his eyes showing a strong desire that made my heart flip, a deep, possessive hunger.

Now, in slow motion, Bob's fingers moved deep into my back, maybe a little lower than they should, and I felt aroused and fully awake at once. I was very aware of his slightest touch and every small movement. I wanted even more. Desire lit a fire in Bob's eyes. I felt our connection deep inside; words failed us then. Our bodies spoke on a more basic level.

The music in the background stopped as Bob said to me calmly, "I desire you." I felt his warm breath on my spine, jolting every nerve. I felt the desire he spoke of in waves from his touch. I did want him, but a part of me still longed for the mysterious stranger. I fought that thought and focused on Bob's touch and the flames of desire between us. I was losing myself in the music, and with each beat, a stronger lust for Bob grew deep inside me, a conflicting pull.

The music had stopped playing, but my craving still went on. I felt bad when Bob took his arms from around me, yet I wanted the closeness we had just shared. I looked up at him, and our eyes met. The strong attraction still burned inside and between us. Bob smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and took my hand, leading me off the dance floor.

I knew this evening wasn't over yet, and I wondered what would happen next. Even now, Bob's touch made me tremble under my skin, and I felt so deeply connected to him that it was impossible to deny a bond settling.

To make things more spooky, there were only our footsteps breaking the quiet chatter, and crickets chirping instead of music. Yet my mind was still racing, and the wanting was still pounding through every part of me. I felt as if I were walking on an edge, my wolf senses sharp, emotions raw.

As I started to relax, that strange, hard-to-understand man appeared beside us. His eyes fixed on Bob with a direct stare. A new, challenging smell hit me, stronger than before, like a wild wind. "Oh, it's you, that lover guy... isn't it?" he said, his voice full of clear sarcasm, a predator's taunt.

"You and who?" Bob's voice was a low growl, a challenge thrown at the person who had interrupted us. The air crackled with unspoken threats, and my wolf got ready for a fight.
