Somewhere in the oceanAt the edge of a deep-sea trench...
Jiro hovered high above, using his super vision to scan deep into the water.
In the shadowy canyon below, an ancient village stood quietly. The buildings were covered in glowing coral.
"Oh? There's something down there?"
He was intrigued. Some kind of sea monster was hiding below.
Without hesitation, he dove down.
Jiro's bio-field pushed aside the water as he gently descended to the center of the village, landing in front of a stone altar.
On the altar, a statue of a stone monkey held a charm in both hands. The charm glowed with a golden amber light, strange transforming patterns swirling across its surface.
"The Monkey Charm of Transformation, huh."
Jiro reached out and took the charm—The moment his fingers touched it—
BOOM!!!
The entire seabed suddenly shook violently! A massive crack opened beneath the village.
A colossal octopus, easily over a hundred meters wide, awakened from the abyss. Its huge blood-red eye locked onto Jiro.
"Cthulhu's distant cousin?" Jiro raised an eyebrow with interest as its tentacles, covered in suckers, whipped toward him.
Calm and unfazed, he raised the Monkey Charm, which flared brightly with golden light.
"Transform."
With a soft sound, the monstrous deep-sea beast shrank in an instant—
—into a tiny goldfish with fluttering fins, swimming around in silly little circles.
"Not bad at all," Jiro nodded with satisfaction, then returned to shore.
He immediately activated his fusion magic circle.
The Monkey Charm dissolved into light and merged into his body. In an instant, he felt a brand new power awakening in his blood—a transformational power unlike anything he'd ever felt.
[Ding! Monkey Charm Paradox Form—Fusion Complete!][Host has acquired a Creator-level power of transformation.]
Reshape life: Permanently alter the form of any living being, unless they're more powerful than the host.
Hybrid creation: Combine the strength of a bear with the agility of a human to make beastmen.
Grant mixed traits: Like giving a creature eagle wings, cheetah speed, and a human appearance.
Chaos form: Mutate each limb into different species traits.
Animate non-living matter: Break the boundary between life and non-life.
Transform objects into intelligent beings, like turning a car into a Transformer. Unlike the Rat Charm, this ability gives more extensive powers.
Give weapons sentience, like a sword that can fight on its own.
Create hybrid-material lifeforms, like a fusion of rock and animal.
Transformations are permanent, unless the host chooses to undo them.
Can maintain multiple transformed beings at once.
Transformations are irreversible unless the target is stronger than the host.
Jiro's eyes lit up with excitement.
This power was insane—basically divine. He could literally play God.
Not only could he enhance allies, he could also turn enemies into weird animal hybrids.
But best of all… he could make real Transformers with his own hands!
Unlike the Rat Charm that gives life to objects, the Monkey Charm creates brand new life.
Meaning, anything he creates starts as a blank slate—fully under his control.
The Rat Charm could revive things, but the revived objects had their own strong will and were too unpredictable.
Now, he could give people the ability to fly, or breathe underwater.
If he gave someone the traits of a tardigrade... wouldn't they become nearly immortal?
Without overthinking, he telekinetically lifted a rock.
"Turn into a saber-toothed tiger."
A flash of light—The rock instantly expanded and morphed into a snarling, obsidian sabertooth tiger!
Its eyes gleamed with intelligence as it rubbed its head affectionately against Jiro's hand.
"Pretty cool."
He pointed at a distant fishing boat."Turn into a shark-shaped submarine."
With a metallic screech, the sunken boat twisted and reshaped itself into a giant mechanical shark, its gill-mounted turbines roaring to life.
And then he kept going—
He turned coral into singing water sprites.Lava from underwater volcanoes became a blazing fire dragon.A clump of seaweed turned into a spiked vine warrior.
Each creation obeyed Jiro's will perfectly.
Then a thought struck him: what if he combined this with the Rat Charm?
He could give his creations continuous upgrades, though their power limit would still cap at 10% of his own.
They'd be able to evolve and develop new forms on their own.
"Permanent existence… self-evolution?" Jiro noticed his very first creation—the basalt saber-tooth—was slowly growing in size. Its armored plates were getting sharper too.
He grinned mischievously and looked at the tiny goldfish still circling around.
"Restore original form… and let's add some flair."
BOOM!
The goldfish exploded back into its giant octopus form—but this time, each of its eight tentacle tips had a shark's head.
Its back was covered in scales, and the suckers on its tentacles could fire high-pressure water blades.
"Off you go."
Jiro patted the deep-sea overlord v2.0."Go conquer the ocean world."
The octopus let out a low hum and swam off with the basalt sabertooth, the mecha shark, and the rest of his creations following behind like an army.
"Two charms left."
Jiro looked into the distance. Using his super vision, he pierced through the clouds and saw a Goat Charm embedded in a statue inside a monastery in the snowy mountains of Tibet.
And… there was a creature sitting in the middle of the temple.
A monster with a goat's head, a human body, and monk's robes, seated cross-legged.
It held a staff across its lap, prayer beads in hand, quietly chanting something.
Jiro's expression twitched. What kind of weird combo is this?
He shook his head—and vanished.
Tibet – Mount Kailash
Amid heavy snowfall, Jiro arrived at an ancient temple perched on a cliff face.
The paint on the wooden pillars was faded, and the wind made the prayer flags whip wildly.
With his super vision, he looked past the thick temple doors and saw it—
A creature with a goat's head and human body, cloaked in ragged monk robes. Its withered hands held prayer beads, a rusty staff lay across its knees.
Behind it, the Goat Charm was embedded in a statue, glowing with a dim blue light.
Creak...
Jiro pushed the doors open. Snow and wind rushed inside, making the temple's eternal flame flicker violently.
The goat-headed monk didn't even look up. Instead, a hoarse voice echoed directly in Jiro's mind:
"In three hundred years, you're the seventh one to come for the charm."
"And the other six?" Jiro asked casually.
"Two became my disciples. Three… are now ice statues outside." The goat-headed monk finally opened its eyes—pupils glowing like vertical blue slits.
"The last one…"
It pulled back its robes, revealing a book made of skin—with a human face twisted in pain embedded in the cover.
"They all wanted to kill me when they couldn't get the charm."
Jiro raised an eyebrow."Just tell me what you want."
"A debate on Buddhist philosophy." The goat monk tapped its staff, and a complex magic circle lit up beneath them.
"Win, and the charm is yours. Lose, and you walk away. Of course… if you try to fight me—"
It licked its lips, revealing rows of sharp teeth.
Jiro nodded calmly. His super vision locked onto another monastery a hundred miles away.
Within seconds, he scanned their entire Buddhist library, and with his super brain, absorbed all the texts in three seconds flat.
"Let's begin."
The goat monk rolled the prayer beads. "What is Bodhi?"
"When your mind's at peace, you transcend naturally," Jiro answered, pointing to his chest.
The debate went on for three straight hours. Jiro nailed every Buddhist question flawlessly.
"Buddha says all beings suffer, yet he transcended with a golden body."
"Well, I say 'Meat and wine pass through the gut, but Buddha stays in your heart' is just as valid." Jiro grinned.
The monk's prayer beads suddenly snapped, scattering wooden beads across the floor.
"You…" Its voice trembled.
"Whew… Amitabha." The goat-headed monk quickly calmed itself down.
Jiro held out his hand."Now, the charm."
The monk was silent for a while—then let out a weird, owl-like laugh.
It plucked the Goat Charm from the statue and tossed it to Jiro.
As Jiro turned to leave, he suddenly asked:"What if someone came who didn't know any Buddhist teachings?"
"Didn't know?" The monk froze.
"…Then this humble monk knows a bit of martial arts too." It smiled peacefully.
And then—its body dissolved into black smoke, leaving behind only its robe fluttering to the floor.
Jiro shook his head and activated the fusion circle.
The Goat Charm turned into a stream of blue light and merged into his forehead. In an instant, his mind felt infinitely expanded.
