Silas winced.
The house… Ayla had told him she'd been saving for it a few months into their relationship.
She was so trusting and loved him so much that after he managed to convince her to put the house in his name, he realized this woman would do whatever he wanted.
To him, the house was his. And he had never thought about giving it back, even if she asked for it.
But now that his 'manliness' had been brought into question, he couldn't stand it and forced a smile.
As he fell silent, Anson's brows twitched, recognizing what the silence meant.
"What? No way you really have your name on the deed of the house your wife bought! I pegged you as a lot of things, but I never pegged you as such a man."
"As I said, we're married, and I don't see anything wrong living in a house my wife bought with my name on the deed." Silas frowned and stood his ground.
One of the people they joined yawned lazily. "If you hold such a high position where you work, it's kinda weak."
