Ayla's eyes suddenly flew open, landing directly on the alarm clock in front of her.
Her eyes widened slightly at the number she hadn't seen in three years.
She only had a moment to marvel over it when the face she saw yesterday morning popped back into view.
"You're awake? Great!"
Instantly, a delayed pang of headache hit her and she groaned painfully, both hands flying to press against her temples as she sat up groggily.
"Damn you, Lyanna. You knew I drank last night, yet you made us drink so much."
"Don't be so grumpy. You became an official house owner last night. Something that huge calls for a celebration," Lyanna scoffed, moving away from the table.
Rubbing her aching eyes and dreading the rest of the morning, Ayla sighed.
"There are several reasons why I don't like drinking if I'm not home. The most important one being that I usually don't remember the details of the night before until something triggers it."
